  1. Just to give them some credit, I went to see Metallica there (Anyone who went to a Metallica concert knows that the audio is one of the best if not the best in the bussiness), without sound restrictions and we were louder than the PA, and it wasn't because the mixing wasn't right, I testified it being there, listening the concert later with the official audio (.flac) and the TV broadcast, South American crowds are crazy.
  2. Well, I don't really know what you gain when you make that statement, because frankly, the B.A goverment couldn't care less about it and you are just making the Argentinian fan base unhappy. ------------------------------------------------ To give you guys a little information about this, the B.A goverment is very strict with this because they have a commitment (one that I don't agree) with enviromental security. This starts with the sound and the effects that the jumping has on the floor and nearby buildings, lots of neighbours have complained to the local goverment and asked to remove concerts (This is one of the main reasons that the Concert wasn't made in the "Monumental" where every big band has their show) and they had to did it in the "Velez" stadium. In fact they have conducted studies about it and but they are hesitant of not allowing anymore concerts because of the profit they gain, in fact some bands like U2 have said that if they can't play there they won't play. Just to show some of the studies they have done:
  3. Wow... i'm really impressed with this new song.
  4. I'll try to give my .02, i see this as a simple way, some bands (I heard this from Metallica) say that the setlists go with the show you are playing, a Festival, you need to play your singles, the songs that get the crowd going, because they don't come to see you play, they come to see lots of bands and that sometimes isn't you, but when you play YOUR show, like PR, they come to see you, they know you, so asking them to play just 3 differents songs per night and rotate them (taking account the last time you played in the city and what you played, ala Dream Theater) is not hard, and having 3 records and playing 1.30 shows is a total aberration, i know the songs are very vocal-heavy and you can't compare 2 hour longs sets of metallica and LP because the instrumental parts take a big load off Hetfield, but they have a little more then 30 years, you can do it with your eyes close, Metallica played 3.30 shows in their thirties, come on... So that leaves me with a conclusion, they are sick and tired of the old songs, and well i don't blame'em, it's all about tastes. Sorry for all the Tallica love, but they were the first band that came to my head to make the examples.
  5. Thanks guys, really interesting.
  6. Can someone give me a quick and brief rundown of what he said? I'm not at the LPU so it's ok if you guys can't.

    Misc DBS stuff

Well i have to agree, i come here every day (don't post in the forum) i don't like LP anymore, i loved them and know a lot of things about them but i think that my musical tastes have changed or grown and i don't think they are great musicians (except for mike, TRT was an amazing album), you want to know how good is Chester? Listen to DBS, read the lyrics, of course there's nothing written about tastes but i think they aren't any good. I guess i still come here as a sign of appreciattion, they made me love music and i think they are really great human beings and make me laugh a lot. But i think we all have different reasons of why we come here, it may be named "LPlive" but it's much bigger than that.
  8. Congrats guys, feel proud this is something big you guys have done. And the time passes i im not liking Linkin Park the way i used to, but i keep coming here because i feel like this is a very unique thing you guys have. Cheers.
  9. 'tallica with 8 songs per album. And they are all great.
  10. I really don't think LP suits Rick Rubin's liking, so i don't look forward to this. He was their producer in just 1 record and he is particulary known of letting the bands alone or he let's them with his people but he's not THAT around. So i don't think he will say much.

    DBS Updates

    mmm... hope it's true.
  12. Really great post man. Couldn't be more agree with this, it really sounds like that, while 4:30 is uncharted territory for them is still a really familiar song of them ( i think that in studio albums without counting reanimation the only song larger than this one is TLGYA) Right now i feel kind of stuck, this type of sound has potential but i don't know if this is the sound they are taking or this was just a transformers-exclusive. Overall this song has one of the greatest beats ever made by them but it's just that. While my dream album would have been 12 "Breaking the habit" kind of thing, this isn't bad if they make it a little less commercial.
  13. Really? didn't know that... but it still helps my point, now that he doesn't smokes he will be better. And i don't want teen angst, you can be heavy and be old.
  14. So... 99% of singers shoud play slow songs and stuff like that?Bleed it out is a throat killer and im sure they will keep doin that kinds of things, remember that there are ways to sing that don't hurt your voice that much, take for example chris cornell he's been doing this for 20 years and with incredible accuracy (except some years, but Chester had a same kind of slump in 2007-2008) You know what? Smoking kills your throat and he keeps doing that. Nobody makes him scream 20 straight seconds, if he somehow knew that he was losing his voice he would stopped doing that, you can also make longer instrumental parts to help the sing recover his breath. Chester is still here and he's going to stay he's not going anywhere .
  15. I don't want Hybrid theory and Meteora, They make great music(Better than 99% of the industry), it's just that a little of Given up and no more sorrow kind of song every now and then won't hurt anybody.
  16. You know what? If i would listened to this song 5 years a ago it would be my GOAT. But time passes by and now i listen to metallica, soundgarden, foo fighters. I don't know... Since minutes to midnight i kinda got frustrated with them, all their songs have the same structure and don't have a skilled guitar player...(MY OPINION) They have one of the Greatest singers in the last decade but well it's just 1 person in a 6 men band... But the thing i love about them is that they were the reason they made me love music back in 2001 when i was 11 so that always hold a place in my heart and will keep listening to them until the very day i die. And i still like their songs, it's just that i see them in a different perspective and with a lot less hype and try to be objective as possible. Hope they keep experimenting and doing crazy things and i will be there.
  17. Just heard it... The lyrics don't shine but it clearly show an improvement in the bridge. At least they tried something different, but it is a WID pt.2. One of the things that i always liked about LP is that they have the greatest beats by faaar, they make simplistic guitar parts look quite nice, like the Fort Minor CD. But still it isn't great song, it's just like the Transformers Movie, a lot of flash a lot of noise but there isn't depth... Still is really catchy and a radio hit. It was a really nice try and i hope they keep trying . 6.5-7/10
  18. Didn't like that at all... But i haven't heard the entire song so...
  19. From Mike's blog: "Mixtape #3, New Divide video May 14, 2009 25 Comments A New mixtape is up in the music section. I had started it a few months ago, and finally got around to finishing it up. I went a little heavier on it. http://www.mikeshinoda.com/music Also, we're shooting the video for New Divide today. I'll have some pictures up from the shoot shortly. Joe is directing, and we're doing the video in a cave in Egypt." Egypt? WTF?!?
  20. Happa birthday Mark, hope you enjoy it and have fun!!

    Box office.

Anyone has the box office data of their tours? At least Road to revolution... i looked in the entire internet (well... not entire...) and couldn't find it.
  22. Yeah like you guys said , in latin country' s pogo is used for mosh pit and that kinds of stuff.
  23. Great news! How do you guys get this?!?!
  24. I don't want to be hated by this comments but here they go... I really like, linkin park, one of my all time bands... BUT "We made it" was going to be "epic" also, and the profile of transformers don't really suit the music i like... and don't fits the sound of linkin park i want to listen. Im not excited by any means about this song... Hopefully this being a full linkin park song it would be A LOT better than the halfLP/halfbusta song. But well... at least we get to hear LP music now and don't have to wait til august... /stop rant
