  1. I don't like Chris' voice when he sings the second verse. But the Reanimation harmony.... love it.
  2. I understand, but do you really like album version of bleed it out w / no drums or extended bridge I think I'm over the 'party' mix of Bleed It Out. I would scrap the drum solo as it messes up the flow of the song (the PR08 change to move it to the beginning was a positive). Only have a shortened version of the extended bridge. Then close with the short version of the extended outro (although the long version is exciting as well). I say all this because I would move Bleed It Out up in the setlist. And of course the shortened version leaves time for more songs!
  3. If I was in the band, I'd be glad the song got so much attention, particularly due to all the work that went into it. No Roads Left and No More Sorrow were the two songs that the band attempted to record in the studio with all members playing at the same time.
  4. Nothing else from Hybrid Theory or Meteora? Seems like most people are adding songs like With You, Runaway, and Figure.09. I'm not having a go at you, I'm just curious. You must then be enjoying the setlists LP are actually playing at the moment.
  5. Leave out all the rest actually is a single now, they play it on the top 20 stations now where I live Yeah, I did know that. Probably should have said it would have done better with the right promotion. The song was given a lot hype early after the album was released; where the band said it would definitely become a single. I don't think it lived up to expectations.
  6. Your LP Top 3 (woohoo for rhyming!) Pick your top three Linkin Park songs and list them, giving reasons. Since this is in the Album Discussion forum, your choice should be primarily focussed on the album version of each track. However, you may use the live variations of a track to help justify your choices. So mine are: #1. Somewhere I Belong - The song I connect with lyrically the mosty. A radio friendly song that can be easily shared with others. Love the extended intro live. Decent video also. #2. P5hng Me A*wy - I enjoy the songs that make full use of all 6 members of LP. Hence why this is right up there in my favourites. I think the gradual build-up throughout the song arranged perfectly. Awesome song both on the album and live. #3. No More Sorrow - All about the intro. I'm really happy the Ebow found it's way into this song rather than TLTGYA. And then in the live versions, there have been about 3 or 4 variations on the intro, and all have fitted in perfectly because they all are centred around the core intro. It's pretty cool that the song made it into Guitar Hero without being a single. It has a great heavy sound. I know it's the top 3, but I gotta say that In Pieces would be 4th. Same reasoning as #2.
  7. @ffm Um... what!?! {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif You're asking the band to play the entire M2M album minus HHH, but the 1st verse of that is done over the Crawling intro. {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif I noticed your setlist is basically every song that was played in 08. Is there nothing from previous years that you want played?

  9. I really enjoy Meteora, more than HT. I appreciate the 'strive for perfection' that went into the album. Even if some of the songs sound similar to those on HT, they are still good songs! I'd say that this album produced the strongest group of singles. Somewhere I Belong (although being In the End v2) was a good radio friendly song (and my favourite LP song ever {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif ). Faint was an excellent follow-up. We all know the success Numb had. From the Inside was not that strong but had a good video! And Breaking the Habit was a strong final single. And don't forget Lying From You became a radio only single.
  10. No More Sorrow is awesome. Should have been a single. In Pieces is also a favourite. A great song overall. Obviously No Roads Left should have been on the album but it was probably left off as Mike knew he would struggle to perform it live. {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif The single choices were average. I think Given Up as a single was a big mistake. LOATR probably would have done well as a single with the right promotion; I can see how it would do well but it's not one of my favourites. And the videos could have been better. A little less Chester focussed.
  11. Hopefully, LP can expand on the M2M writing process and come up with some new arrangements for songs. Perhaps a slight hint of experimentation. I'm happy for the band to continue with a primarily rock focus. I'd like to see the electronic side return; more Joe Hahn! (Think In Pieces). A little bit more hip-hop flavour, but not necessarily rap, although the rap must remain in a few songs, but must be of a high calibre. Mike should have a larger role in the vocals (either rap or singing). I'd really only like to see 1 Chester ballad on the album. Mike can do as many ballads as he likes. {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif And I'd be really disappointed if we end up with TLTGYA v2.
  12. Bugger this is always hard. Oh well, here's one version. I included all the singles for semi-realism. 01) Wake 02) Given Up 03) What I've Done (Distorted Remix intro) 04) From the Inside 05) Papercut (extended intro) 06) Points of Authority (Bloc Party intro/There They Go over 1st version outro) 07) Leave Out All The Rest 08) Breaking the Habit (studio version) 09) Numb (PR 04 intro, extended outro) 10) Hands Held High 11) In Pieces 12) Somewhere I Belong (extended intro) 13) Lying From You (new intro) 14) Bleed It Out (simple extended outro ONLY) 15) Crawling (Reanimation intro with reanimation lyrics, Mike sings Reanimation harmony during 3rd chorus) 16) Shadow of the Day 17) In the End 18) A Place for My Head (Brad intro with no pause at end, extended bridge ie 2004) 19) One Step Closer (Reanimation bridge) 20) Session (short version) 21) Easier to Run 22) P5hng Me A*wy 23) No More Sorrow (extended intro) 24) Faint (extended outro)
  13. +1 for Walking in Circles as the 1st single off the album. I can imagine an amazing video clip for it as well. Probably would do alright on radio and TV. Although, The Morning After seems like the most radio friendly song.
  14. Still awaiting a reply to the email I sent.
