Apparently, for the Transformers movie, Iridescent was mixed in 7.1 (by Neal Avron)

Dolby has uploaded a video, but unfortunately, youtube doesn't support multiple channels, so it's downverted to stereo

Does sound a little different, but I could be imagining things. Hopefully it'll be included on the home release, so we'll be able to rip the multiple channels.

oh my god I love this. you can definitely tell the difference, even on youtube. the organ part at :48 - :53 sounds great, I've always loved that sound in this song.

you can hear a difference in Mike's voice (a tad more echo-y) and the thump of Rob's drum beat is more prominent.

edit: Chester's high harmony is more audible right at the end of the second verse and the bass during the big let it go/final chorus is louder.

After hearing all this, I'm afraid I won't be able to accept any music not mixed in 7.1.

We probably get it with the Transformers 3 Bluray if it includes the music video.

A 5.1 or 7.1 mix is not a multitrack, as some might expect it to be like the ones from the games.

No, but 7.1 IS a mix of multiple channels, each of which could be split from a 7.1 mix on a blu-ray release or something.

But yeah, not multitrack in the guitar/dj hero or rockband sense.

Linkin Park should really step it up and make a 5.1 album.

They did. Reanimation :P

Someone commented in the video that he has the 7.1 version, I already asked him to send me the file.

Edit: He already send me the link, first I have to check the link and then I can put the link here (rules)? (Sorry for my english)

Probably not. Anyway, video can be found at "Dolby - The Sound of HD3" demo disk, so if you interested, just google for it.

UPD: i highly advice to check some famous russian tracker.

This is so true.I had watched this demo video during purchase of my 4k tv. It was very impressive , never knew dobly accquired rights for the video and released it for its comercial purpouse. Wonder if Samsung releases the 4k pro shot Berlin gig video sometime. I am 100 % sure they will use lp's fame and boost their sales through the video in retail outlets in near time. Will be great if they release it in a hard disk for purchase :)

Yea, I'm wondering how to get the Music Video on its own? because there is a torrent on a russian site. but When It says Which parts of the torrent do you want to download, it just says there's an RAR pack, which I'm not willing to download a whole 43 GB RAR just to get one video :)

There is a separate torrent with just Iridescent video.
