Well this song is very lyrically powerful and Mike actually makes a lot of references to things during his Verses.

 

But these cetrin lines at the start of the second verse have got me confused. I cant work it out

 

"Lauryn said money change a situation

Big said it increase the complication

Kane said don't step / I ain't the one

Chuck said that uzi weigh a motherfuckin' ton"

 

Ok well so fare ive worked out

 

Big = Biggie Smalls - Mo Money Mo Problems?!?

Kane = Kanye West - Jesus Walks?!?

 

Im not entirely sure but maybe someone else can shead some light on this

 

Oh and we cant forget Mikes reference to himself back in the days.

Exactly what i thought " Nor the same person telling you to forfeit the game " this line refers to points of authority. When i heard this line it became clear to me.

That is what i think its about too.

I never made that connection but that is cool. This just reasuraces what we think the song is about

I'm pretty sure he meant it. There's too much lines that prove it. But at the same time the song has the " ATS " theme which is an apocalyptic feeling and nuclear war. it's a double meaning song IMO.

Ironically, I think this is gonna be one of the two tracks (along with Wretches and Kings) that "oldschool LP fans" are going to like. (Like No More Sorrow and Given Up were on MTM)
