Most awkward place or time you have heard an LP song?

Recommended Posts

Well Im actually quite interested in how awkward some situations you guys have been in. I though id start this topic up for a laugh.

Well heres my situation.

The other night just downloading something from one of those 4shared sites or something and one of those sex webcam pop ups came up and I didn't notice. then I could randomly hear Numb and couldnt work out where it was from. Well i soon found out it was playing in the background of the sex webcam season.

Well long story short i ended up watching the webcam stream until the song ended.....for the song ofcourse

So yeh, anyone else got something Juicy?

Haha. The same happened to me man. I think it was like 4 years ago, when i was 17. I was on a porn website (yes, i was watching porn, whoever say it never did it is a complete liar, haha). Well, i'd link on a video and suddenly i start to hearing Numb/Encore while the "couple" were doing their thing, you know. I was completely shocked. I think the video was like 3:20 long which is what the song lasts, so basically they were "doing it" to the rythm of the song, haha. It was very bizarre.

Given Up (the censored version) was my ringtone for a while. My phone went off in church during a prayer and Chester screams "What the" [silence] "is wrong with me?"

Then everybody looked at me.

A similar thing happened in my youth group with another song as my ringtone. Sometimes I just forget to turn off my phone.

lmao those stories are hilarious.

I have one to, though not as downright crazy as those...

But anyway, I was at collage a week or so after I saw LP playing live at the 02 and I had brought a dosen or so CD's with a DSP on them to give to my mates. One of friends couldn't wait and poped the CD into one of the computors in photography class and quickly played a random song...

not realising the speakers where on at full volume, the class filled with chester yelling:

"THIS PLACE IS THE FUCKING SHIT DUDE!!! LEAVE IT DOWN TO LONDON TO BUILD THE BIGGEST BADEST MOTHERFUCKING VENUE ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH!!!!"

you can imagine the uproar of the teachers then

for those interested, that was the performance of "somewhere I belong" of all things xD

Oh this isnt so awkward but still pretty funny

Doing and Music assignment. and i was discussing some songs. Everyone had really Popish RnB relaxed stuff. Well They asked me to play an example of some. I asked which would they like to hear and they asked for Given Up. Me going straight to my ipod playing the song. I didnt realize that it was the un-censored version of it. Well once that chorus game i could see their faces become white.

Funny thing was is i didnt stop and continued playing guitar and headbang throughout the song.

I think they got an amazing performance.

I graduated high school in 2007 and around that time What I've Done was released. It was weird because the lyrics to the song summarized the transition me and my fellow classmates would be taken from the days of our youth to the future of adulthood and that chapter of our life was coming to end and that we would start again.

I was having a bachelor party at a local strip club. My friend went up to the booth and I figured he was up to something. He knows that I am a huge LP fan and a few minutes later, "Given Up" comes on and a girl starts stripping to it. I thought he went up there to request that. It was kinda cool but awkward at the same time. In the end, he actually paid for me to go on stage with the ladies and the LP song was a complete coincidence!
