LPLStaff Posted Tuesday at 03:40 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:40 PM Jon, who is on the ground in Switzerland for the final show, shares a word of gratitude for the band, their crew, and the fans as we wrap this era up: “Now here we go for the hundredth time. Zurich, Switzerland. The 100th and final destination of the From Zero Tour. No more talk about which leg is next, we just keep moving one foot in front of the other as we march to the beat that they’re drumming, our hands held high as for one last night in 2026, our favourite band plays our favourite songs and sends us home hungrier than ever. When the initial murmurs of a new singer began, and the troops began to rally. When the excitement became electric and the anticipation left us sleepless for days in the lead up. When they stepped onto the stage in a darkened warehouse, on a space deep in the center of the pit. When Mike smiled. When he said “It’s good to see you again.” When all of these things began, I felt awoken once more. Like a sleeping giant, dormant as many volcanoes tend to rest, tremoring with excitement. Afraid of what would happen when it bubbles over. The tantamount excitement ready to burst, but apprehensive that this might just be a one time thing from a group who missed that feeling of taking the stage again. Imagine it was just that show. Since then we’ve had 99 setlists and the gigs ain’t done (hit me!) The utter joy that the shows have brought us is indescribable. The opportunities and experiences, the friendships made, the conversations had, the places we’ve visited… Over the last two years, I (Jon) photographed Hamburg and Paris in 2024, attending shows in London, Germany, France and at the time of writing, I am heading to Switzerland also. Mark was at the comeback show, and we stood shoulder to shoulder across Europe. Dylan visited India as well as Austria, Germany and England… I could go on but you get the picture. There’s a lot more to come from us, and we’ve had great events we attended in Zurich and even moments at home on the European Tour. The Rock am Ring show on a personal level was incredibly important to me. I worked my ass off that night at home, clipping, distributing to socials for people, live tweeting and chaotically running a million miles a second. I got to enjoy it and be excited about so much of it, but I wasn’t able to be as present as I’d like, and more so, I was alone. Now I was able to be in a cinema, sat with some of the best people I have ever met, crying through the Unshatter movie premiere. Even more important to me, on a personal level, is the Creation event, where a small number of fans got to meet the crew responsible for all the shows. The unsung hero. We say It Takes a Village and there’ll be more on that once tour concludes. So here we go, for the hundredth time. The final masquerade. A chance to leave it all in the pit. In the stands. In the technical departments. A chance to say thank you for coming back. For coming home. For lighting the beacons for many to find hope and a place to head towards. A northern compass point to align by. I’m not ready to say goodbye, so you better sort out another show soon. Enjoy the rest, as will we. The time off to recharge and come back better. It’s been an honour to serve you all and share so many perspectives of shows and we can’t wait to do it more but we’ll appreciate the rest. That goes for the band, for the sound and lighting teams. For the management, those building stages, tailoring fashion and much more. Those doing the longest days. Thank you for what you do to bring this experience for us all. Here’s to another 100.” Quote
RogueSoul Posted Tuesday at 05:48 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:48 PM What an absolute ride this tour has been. Finally got to live the real LPLive experience for the first time, going around the world and meeting so many new people, reconnecting with old friends, showing my hometown friends what the LP world is really about, and so much more. Can't wait to do it again next time - and hopefully have more money to make more trips with LOL As fun as it's been, I think everyone needs a little break from it all - us with covering the shows (as fun as it is, we do all have jobs and lives now and with more and more shows it gets harder for all of us to make that commitment; though the LPLive team is as strong as ever so we always gotcha covered), fans with checking in every single moment of every single show... the fear of our favorite band no longer being around is no longer the case this time compared to our last break. We know they will be back, so we can rest, find some new music to obsess over, and work on ourselves. It's been a pleasure guys, it may get quieter from here but we'll be ready to rock and roll once again before you know it! Quote
JerseyShore Posted Tuesday at 08:12 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:12 PM Thanks to all at LPL who have stepped it up the last 2 years after many years of mostly nothingness. We appreciate you guys so much. And thank you to my fellow Jersey Boy RS, your pre-show write ups never disappoint. Quote
Yucker Posted Tuesday at 09:03 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:03 PM What a ride has been. I have nothing but gratitude for living this with all of you. I met some of you at the shows (at Hamburg, Frankfurt and Madrid) and feeling at home, with family. Thank you guys, thank this community and all the people that help build this, fanbase and crew. Some of the best memories of my life are written at this shows, hearing My december live, Let you fade hitting the hardest to me and rushing to the venue at Madrid show to save our fellow pal BroodingAnanas of melting under the sun ajajaja Quote
bloodbath Posted Tuesday at 10:06 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:06 PM Thank you to everyone involved. Seems that those years and months of absolute silence are long gone... The only bad thing about this era is that it's gonna be hard to surpass. What will be next, besides the Documentary and the soundtrack? A live album, the MTM box set, more Mike solo music? Whatever, it's going to be great Quote
troub1eboy Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Hey was just reading the show notes (unsure how to reach out otherwise but saw a typo/mistake) "Over Each Other" was performed in Act I as a rotation spot for the first time. After the song, Mike said to the crowd, "You guys have to excuse us, we're a little bit excited tonight... A little bit of adrenaline. You guys know this is the last show of the From Zero World Tour, right?" To which Emily screamed, "IT'S TIME TO PARTAY!" Over each other was played in the same spot in Sydney night 2 sorry to be that person Quote
