Can The Mall be considered an LP record?

It's a dumb question, but after all these years I can't figure it out. The most logical answer would be no, it's an score.

 

But it has finished LP songs, like White Noise, Dancer or Devil's Drop, so it's kinda confusing to me.

 

Also the fact that the album is credited under the name of 4/6 members, excluding Bourdon and Delson, but adding Alec Puro playing drums. So isn't that a similar case to some OML songs which aren't credited to the whole band and has an additional writer like Jon Green? But those songs are considered LP tracks. 

 

It's a little bit confusing, so if somebody has the answer, I would be happy to hear it.

It's not credited as Linkin Park.

It's not a studio album.

It's not even parked under LP in streaming.

In spirit it's even more linkin park than FZ cause Chester was included. 

 

Even the band tagged White Noise and other tracks as Linkin Park.

 

Legally it isn't a Linkin Park album because they didn't want to have WB on the way to block or complicate the release. 

 

To me it is Linkin Park, pretty sure that there are many more songs in which less LP members performed or have credits.

FZ is literally the current definition of LP, in spirit and in everything.

 

The Mall was always ambiguous. For me it is what it was marketed as: a non-LP score feat. a bunch of finalized LP Demos.

btw. what was the reason why the soundtrack wasn’t released under the Linkin Park name? Was it really for the label thing? And where do we know that from?
