LPLStaff Posted Friday at 07:16 PM Posted Friday at 07:16 PM Pinkpop is continuing their archival releases and will be putting the full Linkin Park 2012 show out on YouTube on November 15, 2025 at 11:00 am EST. This follows Pinkpop releasing much of the 2007 show, minus a few songs, recently. Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted Friday at 07:20 PM Posted Friday at 07:20 PM This is the last LP pinkpop show? Man pinkpop fucking rocks can't believe they did this again. Two new LP shows back to back this weekend 2012 was the very last year of LP1 prime, very special for me this is the year that I finally had my first LP concert. Quote
bloodbath Posted Friday at 07:52 PM Posted Friday at 07:52 PM Question is, will be the whole show? or some song missing? Quote
LPLStaff Posted Friday at 08:38 PM Author Posted Friday at 08:38 PM No one knows. Maybe something shorter again. But better than nothing. Don't forget 2013, I'd say that was the last of the prime for LP1. Before The Hunting Party era. They had amazing setlists in 2013. One of them was like APFMH -> Papercut to start or something crazy. Stewe Posted Friday at 09:30 PM Posted Friday at 09:30 PM 2012/13 has some amazing setlist. I wish I could see it live Quote
thigolpbr Posted Friday at 09:59 PM Posted Friday at 09:59 PM As I said in another post. I hope that, as the years go by, more and more material from Linkin Park's shows with Chester will surface. It would be interesting if other major festivals, such as Rock am Ring, Download Festival, Reading, and others, followed Pinkpop's model of releasing the performances on an official channel. Not just Linkin Park, of course, but we would also have historic performances from other great bands. Quote

The setlists up until and including ATS are so damn good. Just loaded with bangers from those albums. Quote

Felipe has Reading 2003 that's like my ultimate wish, amazing setlist and the proshots that were released sound pretty fucking good. I wonder why the band didnt choose that show for M20. Quote

That show would have been incredible; part of it that we have on YouTube shows how cool the filming and audio turned out. Reading 2003 would have been incredible too. I really don't understand and I don't know who chooses the shows for the box set lol Quote

Rock am Ring is a historic show, but we already had it online in great quality. I understand that the band may have wanted to make it official in the box set, but they could have at least included Docklands as well. PR02 could have been the entire show without mixing performances. Either San Diego or Las Vegas. But even so, it was something historic because we didn't have anything from 2002. Besides One Step Closer (Colorado) and that video of My December in Kansas. Quote

So yeah, strange decision. Regarding the PR02 I think they had it shelved and ready to go. So they wouldn't bother to split the shows 20 years later on. Quote
Wark Posted Saturday at 02:43 PM Posted Saturday at 02:43 PM I wish we got Download Festival 2014 in HT boxset. It's weird that they didn't include that, and if I remember correctly, even the promoter of Download Festival wish to have it released. Quote

I wish they will be released as a standalone DVD. More festivals should follow the example of Pinkpop Quote

Because the box set wasn't about the album, was about a period of time (1997-2002). If it was strictly about HT we wouldn't have things like Pictureboard. Besides the band in 2014 doesn't sound alike 2000-02. It doesn't fit. Quote

thigolpbr Posted Saturday at 06:42 PM Posted Saturday at 06:42 PM (edited) I've already said this in the chat and in other topics. I don't see a problem with the band making these old shows available on a stream page for purchase. At least from 2000-2004, since we already had the HT20 and M20 box sets. Thousands of fans would love to see shows like that. Who here wouldn't pay $20 to $30 to watch a never-before-seen proshot? Imagine a show from Reading 2003, Rock in Park 2001, Download Festival 2004, Dragon Festival 2001, Docklands 2001 (Master Tape), Detroit Theatre 2003, etc... These are just a few examples. I would pay to watch them. Here's a quick and simple calculation: if each show were sold for $20, and I'm making a quick calculation that only 5,000 people in the world buy just one show, that would be a return of $100,000 for just one show that's sitting unused in the band's coffers. I know the band is a millionaire and is looking at a new phase. But hey, this is so simple to do, and hundreds, thousands of fans, even those who like the new phase, would certainly be very happy and would pay to watch these shows. Another detail: I'm almost certain the band already has their shows digitized. I would buy them all. Edited Saturday at 10:24 PM by thigolpbr Quote
Stewe Posted Saturday at 06:44 PM Posted Saturday at 06:44 PM I've missed the livestream since I was at the gym training. It's the full show or something's missing? Quote

They had a lot a show on their channel, and you can watch it for free Quote
