From Zero Film Still Coming - 2026

As many Linkin Park fans know and have been waiting on for a year, LP filmed the São Paulo 2024 shows professionally and announced plans for at least the first night to be shown in theaters in 2025. Rumors around the show indicated that fans at the venue were interviewed by a film team who claimed a documentary on the band was coming at some point with the night one show.

Unfortunately, no updates this year have been provided by the band and fans were beginning to think the project was scrapped. After all, the shows changed quite a bit from the end of 2024 with the introduction of the rest of the From Zero live songs in the show and the removal of a handful of 2024 songs the band was performing. It would, at this point, have made sense to film and release a more recent show (or showS) that encompasses/encompass more of the album. After all, major shows took place all across Europe (Olympiastadion, Wembley, Stade de France, and more) and the band recently performed an incredible tour in South America after going coast-to-coast in North America. All of that followed Mexico and Asia to start the year, so 2025 has had a LOT of shows!

Well good news is on the way. Following three absolutely massive, iconic shows in Brazil, our great friends at LinkinPark:br have an update on the long-awaited From Zero live release: They share:

"News On The #FromZero Movie?

We received information that the long-awaited live film from the From Zero tour, recorded in São Paulo and announced by #LinkinPark last year, had its release delayed.
Although the initial expectation was for this year (2025), all indications that the official launch was for 2026.

Since we don't have an official word on the band or label yet, we cannot confirm an exact release date. However, our sources indicate that the movie is still confirmed, just won't arrive "this year."

We're going to have to hold our anxiety just a little longer!

Tell us in the comments: what are your expectations for the film?"

They are claiming that now the project has been postponed and will be coming in 2026. Linkin Park still has a lot of momentum with the tour, with Asia, Australia, and Europe still to come this year.

It is important to know that LinkinPark:br, source-wise, was first to know about the São Paulo 2024 concerts well before the band's comeback was even rumored, so we would tend to believe this news from them.

At this point we are unsure exactly WHAT the band is doing - if it really is a documentary, if it's a standalone live show (which seems like the most UNLIKELY option at this point), or if it's something else entirely. But what we are glad to hear is that something is coming next year from the band. We are waiting anxiously to see what that is! :)

TBH if it's just a concert film, I completely lost the interest, 2025 had better shows and I would prefer a full show from this year. 2024 feels outdated.

Although a documentary would be interesting, it's something that the band has never done before

Looks like we’ll get a concert documentary instead of a full live-show release. Makes sense, it’s the trend now, like with Taylor Swift, Depeche Mode, and others who’ve put out documentaries instead of just the whole concert. I’d expect it to follow the band’s comeback and success, with some interviews from the band and fans, bits from LPTV, and a few songs from the São Paulo 2024 show.

The 2024 show became very outdated really quick with all the shows this year. The band is more confident and Emily and Colin are more relaxed and improved a lot since Brasil'24.

Depeche Mode ended up releasing the full show outside of the documentary, right? Isn't that what is coming next?

Don't understand the outdated comments since these were great shows with the return - there is still a ton of room down the road to release 2025-2026 shows. The touring cycle isn't even done for the album yet lol. Also some fantastic songs like Breaking the Habit were played then.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depeche_Mode:_M "It blends concert footage with archival materials and cultural interstitials to explore themes of music, mortality, and Mexican traditions surrounding death."

I could be wrong about those examples 🫣 I haven't actually seen any of them.

Depeche Mode did it it with "Live in Berlin". You had one DVD with the full show and another one with the documentary blended with the show.

I'll say it again, since many days have passed. they did interviews with fans, recorded when the band (Joe + Colin) went to the Pop-up store in Sao Paulo and recorded fans reactions to the album listening parties at the album's release day, and of course at the venue for the show. So, I think it will be either a mix of concert + documentary, or something at the style of the Pankake festival DVD, clips between songs. I really want it to be the full show plus all the recording they did.

the question now is whether the film will cover only São Paulo 2024, since much of the preparation was clearly done there, or if any filming for the documentary took place before Brazil or afterward.

I've just rewatch the Sao Paulo 2024 show and the audio it's not that bad.

Miles away from the audio of Buenos Aires, but it's decent.

Only some issues during LFY's intro but the rest seems fine to me
