LPLStaff Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Is there any recording of this with the full intro of Emptiness Machine? Everything, including LP's video, seems like it has a cut intro. Quote

Was like that in the rehearsals as well and always caught me by surprise in an empty and silent stadium 😄 Quote

Not because of the band/act but because this really takes the football players out of focus right before a greatly important match. That's a weird stance to take. I guess I'm just used to it as an American who has seen NFL Super Bowl halftime shows become more and more elaborate, but the event itself is about entertaining the fans in attendance who have often paid exorbitant prices to be there. At least this was the kick off show and the game hadn't even started yet. They didn't stop the game for 30 minutes right in the middle of it to have this performance, which is what the NFL does during their own biggest game of the year. Edited June 1 by Justin Quote

We wan't to see the game. If it was a half-time show it'd be worse. On the other hand, every year it's more common to have a kick-off show, but it's really not that important for the game, nobody's going to see/watch the game just for the show, it's like an add-on. LPLStaff Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Check this one, it has a bit more before Mike and Emily start singing. https://filebin.net/7hxlygrgrfc9u1ol Quote
FelixSFD Posted June 2 Posted June 2 (edited) I have some pictures and a clip from the stage build, if you are interested. And a full phone recording from one of the wheelchair areas. (We stood behind that and someone offered to take my friend’s phone to film) Uploaded the files here: https://filebin.net/2753i2il95oq3tbk Video of the full performance: Edited June 2 by FelixSFD added files and video Quote

LPLStaff Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Yeah seemed like the opposite of low energy to me. They sounded great. Pre-recorded instrumental to get it perfect but the vocals, performance, etc was all really good. Quote

But it should be noticed that in contrast to this show, the LoL event was most likely a full live performance. Either Mike or Alex fucked the muting of their guitar up, therefore producing a high note. Quote

I could clearly hear that sound coming not only from the speakers, but from the pitch as well. Hard to tell, if the rest was live, too. Quote

martinez Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Are they was having problems with sound during the show and at the rehearsal? Well this is interesting. I was re-watching this and during the HITC I was like wtf, where is phoenix? He usually plays it differently live versus what ended up being in the studio version, he plays some additional stuff during the verses of the song, but on this show the bass plays exactly the same as album version, I will say even more, the tone of the bass is exactly the same as album version - they played a studio bass line from the playback!
