We've hit the end of the road, ladies and gentlemen... for now! Linkin Park wrap up their first United States leg of the From Zero World Tour tomorrow, Saturday, May 17, with another huge performance at one of the country's biggest rock festivals: Welcome To Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida!

This'll be Linkin Park's first show in the city and area of Daytona Beach, so we can skip the big history lesson today - but let's at least jump back to the last time Linkin Park played in Florida: the opening night of the ill-fated The Hunting Party North American Tour in January 2015. Most will remember this infamous tour from it being pretty much entirely cancelled off the bat after Chester broke his ankle during a pre-show basketball game at the third stop of the tour in Indianapolis. While that show was powered through by Chester on a scooter, the rest of the tour was ultimately cancelled. The three shows the band did perform, however, were absolute smokers. The band kicked the tour off at Orlando's Amway Center, debuting a new version of 2015's Set A, opening with a mashup intro right into an epic 'Guilty All The Same.' The sets from this era were like the first experiments with their modern production, being split into multiple acts with interludes in between marking the change between them. Instead of dedicated pieces of music like we have now, however, the 2014/2015 interludes were largely shortened, instrumental versions of songs that jammed into others. Act 2 kicked off with an instrumental version of 'Blackout' that segued into 'Papercut,' while Act 3 featured 'Robot Boy' (this version of the song was the first version ever performed live) which transitioned into Joe's solo. While several songs from The Hunting Party were questionably axed from the set (the only other songs from the record played at the show were 'Wastelands' and 'Final Masquerade'), some songs made their tour debuts; namely, 'From The Inside' and 'A Place For My Head.' It's been over 10 years now since the band last tore things down in Florida, and we know the state is ready to rock with them!

This will be Linkin Park's second festival performance of the year after last week's groundbreaking show at Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio. Linkin Park blew the crowd off its feet as tons of incredibly positive reviews have poured in following their performance, with many claiming they beat out two Metallica sets and Korn for best headline set of the weekend. It's no mystery to us that there has historically been a lot of doubt in the band whenever they headline festivals in the past, especially now with the lineup change, but it's really great to see that the set really turned a lot of people's opinions around! The band performed a new version of Set A called Set A90 (likely referencing their 90-minute set time), dropping most of the rotation spots for the sake of time but still finding time for surprises while delivering the festival crowd all the necessary hits. After 'Somewhere I Belong' brought the set to an explosive start, the energy continued with a surprise performance of 'Lying From You' early in the set, setting the sparks off even further. 'Two Faced' was brought down to the first act before 'New Divide' similarly to how it was positioned in 2024, before 'The Emptiness Machine' brought things into the next act. Unlike their only other festival performance this cycle (their first show in Saudi Arabia at the Soundstorm Festival in December), the band played a few more tracks to fill the set time including 'The Catalyst' and 'Overflow' (which featured Mike playing 'Stairway To Heaven' by Led Zeppelin on keyboard during the extended intro). Other new additions to the set like 'Up From The Bottom' and 'Where'd You Go' also rolled into the festival set, while 'Casualty' made sure to really bring home the heaviness of the fest's lineup. grandson joined the band once again for 'One Step Closer,' perhaps for the last time in the U.S. as he will not be at this festival. He will be opening for the band once again in Germany next month, so it's possible we see this feature happen again in the future! With the crowd won over and the energy high, the band wrapped things up with 'Bleed It Out,' which featured a verse from 'A Place For My Head' over the extended bridge. The band's energy for some of these past few shows have really been unmatched!

It's likely for Welcome To Rockville we see a largely similar set to what we saw at Sonic Temple - perhaps a Set B90 or C90 with a different song in the second spot ('Points Of Authority' and 'Cut The Bridge' were the other two songs rotating there in the full sets)! Perhaps 'Casualty' gets swapped out for 'Given Up' or 'IGYEIH,' or possibly even 'Keys To The Kingdom' to give the rock festival its heavy song. 'Casualty' or 'Given Up' seem likely the most likely contenders for Florida. Other than that, it's hard to say what the band would switch up in the setlist for this besides the order of some songs seeing as they will be performing for the same amount of time (90 minutes). The band will be performing later than usual with a 10:20pm start time and 11:50pm end time, so get ready to rock into the night with them!

A full recording of the band's show at the Sonic Temple Music & Arts Festival in Columbus, Ohio on May 10, 2025. With such raving reviews for a normally polarized band, we're hoping for the same outcome at Welcome To Rockville!

Saturday at Welcome To Rockville will be pretty stacked if you're looking to see some other bands. On the Main Stage (the Apex Stage) before Linkin Park will be Incubus (hopefully performing after having to cancel last week's show at Sonic Temple due to illness), BeartoothTaking Back SundayP.O.D.Hoobastank, and Sleep Theory, while other stages will boast the likes of bands like MastodonI PrevailPierce The VeilHollywood UndeadOf Mice & Men, and more. Members from Incubus, P.O.D., Hoobastank, and Of Mice & Men have all joined Linkin Park onstage at some point in their career in the past, so it would be awesome to see some form of collaboration happen onstage with all these bands gathered together again! If you're going to the festival, who do you plan on seeing?

Who's going to the show? Weatherman Rogue Soul here to tell you to stay hydrated! Florida heat is no joke if you're unfamiliar with it, and even if you are you need to make sure you're drinking water constantly and staying cool when you can. Check out the festival map to know where water stations and medical stations will be located in case you need them! We're looking at some big heat with temperatures in the low-to-mid 90's, so dress light and get ready to rock - and always be ready for a random Florida shower! LPLive founder Hahninator (Mark) will be at the festival to round out this leg for us, so say hi if you see him! The band has about a month off before kicking off the next leg of the tour in Europe with the NovaRock festival in Austria on June 12 and Rock For People in Czechia on June 14. They will then headline stadiums in the continent with shows in GermanyEngland, France, and more. At the end of May, the band will perform the UEFA Champions League Final Kick Off Show as well. The band will return to the United States for a much more extensive leg in July, August, and September, kicking things off in Brooklyn, New York on July 29. The deluxe edition of From Zero featuring 'Up From The Bottom,' 'Unshatter,' and 'Let You Fade' (and bonus live tracks for the physical editions) is out now everywhere - go give it a stream!

We'll have you covered on everything the band does at this show and everything they whip out for the rest of the year, so be sure to sign up on the forums and follow us on social media (Twitter/XInstagramFacebook)!

Emily would do well on Shadow. Play as many songs as you can.

Agreed that they could/likely will play the other 2 new songs in Europe. There are so many tour dates coming all year that there's plenty of time to get more songs in the show.

Heading down to Rockville shortly. LP could run the entire same set back again and crush it. Wouldn't surprise me if Given Up replaces Casualty. They really don't need to tweak much. Keep Lying From You in there, keep Two Faced early. This set works great at festivals and there isn't a lot of room for changes here. Overflow is a great live song so they'll probably keep that.

That's how I feel as well. I mean in this short time of a few dozen shows they've already played what ~50? something different songs. Keep em coming.

We want a MASSIVE live album with each song from the tour

First glance, i thought you said they should play “MASSIVE” which is a great idea! 😂🥹

I’ll be there!! 😎🤘🏼

Also, pretty crazy to think I was also at their last show here in Florida in January 2015. That was a solid show inside a big indoor Arena. Now, I get to see them outside at night 🔥🔥
