RogueSoul Posted Thursday at 10:58 PM Posted Thursday at 10:58 PM Riding off of the coattails of one of music history's biggest comebacks, Linkin Park has burst into 2025 with their new single 'Up From The Bottom' and a music video - but there's more! The band will be releasing a new Deluxe Edition of From Zero on May 16, 2025 featuring three brand new songs: 'Up From The Bottom,' 'Unshatter,' and 'Let You Fade.' TRACKLIST: From Zero (Intro) (0:22) The Emptiness Machine (3:10) Cut The Bridge (3:48) Heavy Is The Crown (2:47) Over Each Other (2:50) Casualty (2:20) Overflow (3:31) Two Faced (3:03) Stained (3:05) IGYEIH (3:29) Good Things Go (3:29) Up From The Bottom (3:03) Unshatter (3:16) Let You Fade (3:28) The Emptiness Machine (Live) Heavy Is The Crown (Live) Over Each Other (Live) Casualty (Live) Two Faced (Live) The album is available to pre-order from the band's official store. There are two vinyl variants (a translucent emerald green and ghostly orchid) as well as two CD options (regular and an expanded booklet edition). A merch drop featuring a few other items also dropped at the same time. The five live tracks likely come from the digital releases earlier in the cycle, which were paired with proshot live videos on their YouTube channel. 'The Emptiness Machine' was from the launch show in Los Angeles, 'Heavy Is The Crown' from London, 'Over Each Other' from Paris, and 'Two Faced' from Brazil ('Casualty' has not been shared in full yet), so it's likely these recordings are from these shows, though this is not confirmed. The digital (streaming) version will not feature the live tracks. While we have 'Up From The Bottom' to enjoy until the release of the new music, we can share one tidbit from the From Zero Linkinpedia page. In their "From Zero: A Conversation With Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong" talk, Mike and Emily talked briefly about old demos, including 'Unshatter': "Mike described the process before Emily joined the sessions as "if it was a painting... then it starts with a blank canvas, and then we sketched something, and we erased it. And we sketched something, and we erased it... and slowly, it started to be like, 'maybe, this part's good, maybe that part's good...' and then we started to go, 'That's it,' and that's when [Emily] showed up." Some of the first demos Emily sang on were called "Unshatter" and "Vertigo," the latter dated around 2019. This period was very slow and scattered, with them going through periods of not even seeing Emily for weeks or months. The demos from this period were inconsequential musically according to Mike, but were necessary for them to get to the first step of putting together the next Linkin Park album." Other songs mentioned include 'Vertigo' and 'Breathing Underwater,' which could still appear somewhere down the pipeline. Quote
javignacio Posted Thursday at 11:11 PM Posted Thursday at 11:11 PM will they move the outro from GTG to the last song? 🤔 Quote
capoofan3 Posted Thursday at 11:19 PM Posted Thursday at 11:19 PM This is what I hoped would happen when UFTB got leaked, a new deluxe set for the album. Can’t wait for the other 2 new songs! Also a shame that it seems like the live tracks are going to be physical-only. That’s alright. Quote
bullettrain Posted Thursday at 11:24 PM Posted Thursday at 11:24 PM Seems a bit weird that the only difference between the 2CD deluxe and expanded deluxe is an extra 8 pages for the booklet. Hopefully they consider releasing this material outside of the Deluxe Edition package. Quote

Also do you believe we will get a Live Album next year ? (Featuring pre-2024 songs with Emily voice) Also UFTB is a banger, I can see some Marvel influences in video ? Joe as a telekinetic X-Men ? (also vibes of Loki TV Show, Inception ?) Quote
AJB Posted Thursday at 11:32 PM Posted Thursday at 11:32 PM I wonder if there will be any other color variants of the vinyl Quote

I thought that there was only gonna be one version. It's a small difference in the booklet, I hope that it doesn't sell out now that I'm short of money... Quote
wslwins Posted Friday at 12:11 AM Posted Friday at 12:11 AM good thing that they corrected their mistake on Meteora, but FFS, this cover is horrible, not as much as OML but almost same level. Quote

Besides, I'm not a vinyl guy, so I don't have that anxiety for getting the "limited splatter luminiscent glow in the dark" edition 😂 Quote

neil Posted Friday at 12:49 AM Posted Friday at 12:49 AM Warner trying to make their money back on the tour costs? I mean this is getting a tad silly. This is what, 9 vinyl versions of this album now? Quote

I think he's commenting more on the silliness of so many vinyl versions. I could bet that in a couple of days, we will be getting announcements of other exclusive vinyl colors at different stores and whatnot, lol. that on top of the limited covers that are meant to complete a photo (so its literally in their design to incentivize to buy multiple copies of the vinyl). Sure, nobody forces you to buy them all, but still. Quote
neil Posted Friday at 01:22 AM Posted Friday at 01:22 AM Indeed. There's far too many versions of the original release, and of course there's now multiple versions of the deluxe edition, releasing only 6 months after the initial release. Back in the day there used to be a few different releases that people could choose from, and now it feels like every band is going full FOMO mode with all the limited vinyl releases, different boxsets, different limited releases for different retailers - it feels like way too much is being shoved in our faces. That and I'm also still a little bitter that I paid $83 for that CD boxset and it came in a super fragile looking corrugated cardboard box after the listing said it would be "housed in a collectible custom box". Sukotto Posted Friday at 06:57 AM Posted Friday at 06:57 AM What do we reckon then for recordings then… - The Emptiness Machine: Burbank (released on FZ expanded edition) - Heavy Is The Crown: London (released on FZ expanded edition) - Over Each Other: Paris (released on FZ expanded edition) - Casualty: no sbd release yet (?) - Two Faced: São Paulo night 1 (released in full on YouTube) Quote
Qwerty18 Posted Friday at 07:22 AM Posted Friday at 07:22 AM Hope Casualty is from the Dallas premier, that was dope! Quote
lpaa9 Posted Friday at 08:06 AM Posted Friday at 08:06 AM I would have loved to have seen Overflow live on the deluxe version. Quote
