LPLStaff Posted yesterday at 08:08 PM Posted yesterday at 08:08 PM Mike hopped on Discord on the 19th of February for the first time in a few months and offered a few interesting bits of information for fans. He stayed in the chat about an hour and a half. Highlights are below, in order: Asked by a fan about Linkin Park's stage being so tall in Brazil, he had a series of messages saying: "I think it was because it was a big crowd, like 60,000 or something", "The stage was enormous. It took forever to walk down any of the catwalks", " Yeah, the production team decided to make the whole thing bigger. It’s going to be fun to do some variety this year. Some big stages in Europe. Some arena stages (we play in the middle, like 2024) in the US later this year", All the stage layouts are good, to me", "We don’t usually make the stages super high off the ground, but in some countries that’s what they recommend (or it’s what they have to do)", and "Might be “standard” materials, might be available stage materials, might be that it needs to be tall because of what goes under it, might be safety. I’m not really sure." In response to a meme about incorrect lyrics for 'Good Things Go' on Twitter, Mike said: Someone said that every performance Chester did live was perfect, to which Mike said, "lol yeah totally" and elaborated: and The chat shifted to comments on Linkin Park performing live, and someone asked jokingly if the band would perform upside down if they played in Australia. Along with a few other comments on Australia, Mike chimed in: He got on the topic of song requests in the chat, with people asking for their favorite song: He added he isn't a hater of Taylor Swift and he saw the Eras tour which was great, he ran into Munky from Korn the other day at Starbucks and says he doesn't know him well but that he's a good dude, and says he likes Poppy: "I like Poppy. I’ve known about her since way back when she did the weird youtube stuff. that was great" About other One More Light songs in the show besides 'Friendly Fire': He said the show setlist is a mix of fan favorites + band favorites. He joked about cutting Crawling and adding Blackout: He concluded by saying Emily likes both Blackout and Lies Greed Misery: Source: Discord [From:MikeShinoda] Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted yesterday at 08:23 PM Posted yesterday at 08:23 PM Blackout its way more interesting and difficult than many songs probably more challenging for Emily than any other song Quote
sublimeric Posted yesterday at 08:26 PM Posted yesterday at 08:26 PM Thank you for the summary! I’m old and don’t understand discord haha. So, so happy that Mike gave love to the new songs. Seems like almost every band I know sticks to the hits and the staples, and only tosses in a couple new tracks when you go to the show. I’d love to see the entire FROM ZERO album - even in spread across 2 nights in the markets where they play back to back - because why not? It’s only 30 minutes of a 2 hour show. Quote
Trumtram Posted yesterday at 09:54 PM Posted yesterday at 09:54 PM "Mike slamming Chester's legacy in new fan chat" Really cool of him to do that. I'm happy they are happy! Quote
Hybrid1988 Posted yesterday at 10:11 PM Posted yesterday at 10:11 PM I’m 100% in favor of dropping Crawling for Blackout. Quote

Not sure why the band doesnt like playing any album front to back, not even in their early days.. not sure in which show they played HT in full but it wasn't in order. When they did it at Download 2014 they were forced $$$ it wasnt a natural move. 6 songs of the new album will be the max that you will get to listen at any show. Quote

That’s why I’m going to both nights in Boston this Summer, hoping to hear as many “From Zero” tracks as possible. Quote
PNield Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I'm relieved that Mike knows Australia exists! There were so close and yet so far! Quote
LPLStaff Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago 2026 seems like a great year for China, India, Australia, New Zealand, and another Europe run since they are in such high demand there compared to the rest of the world. All of that seems really doable with giving them more downtime than 2025, allowing time for them to relax and write music. Just three outings like that would take 1/4 of the year time-wise, if that long. Quote

Talking of full album, I know it's not LP related, but I saw Green Day last summer and they played both Dookie and American Idiot front to back. And it's not a special show like Download 2014, they did that the whole tour last year Edited 16 hours ago by Stewe Quote

LPLStaff Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago Definitely don't need 11 songs from one album taking up time in the show unless it's advertised as something exclusive like From Zero in full. Playing them all over 2 nights is cool, though. With 25 song slots, there are just too many songs (and singles) to get any worthwhile older deep cuts in there by playing too many new songs. Glad that Casualty is a rotating song right now. They should do more From Zero rotation spots. Quote

bloodbath Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) Unpopular opinion here: I didn't like when in 2012 the band started their "legacy era". I knew the leiv motiv of Living Things, but for me was like telling people "you were right, our old stuff was better, forgive us, here's what you want". And this band has always taken risk even though sometimes I didn't like the result. They want to make room for new songs replacing old ones? That's perfect for me. This is the From Zero era, it won't be another one. Edited 8 hours ago by bloodbath Quote
