I can't find any information about the DJ Vice's mixtape where it was featured, does anyone knows something about it (name, release date, tracklist, label, cover...)?

All that I know is that there were 2 versions of Freestyle; a demo, and the album version. Sorry I can't be anymore help. If I find anything, I'll let you know.

There are three versions of Freestyle - The demo (which was on DJ Vice's Myspace), the album version, and the mixtape version.

I was the very first person to have the Dj Vice Freestyle. I think I still have the cd but I am sure that I do not have the cd case anymore. I can maybe scan it or take a pic of it if you would like. Originally I ripped the song and sent it to some guy over at forfeitthegame.com when the site was still up and running. I asked the dude not to release it but he went ahead and did. He gave me my props so its all good. I wanted to release it but I didnt want it released at that time. Oh well, hope you all are enjoying it. I am glad I was able to do something for you guys!

I have talked to mark(hahninator) about giving him the cd because I have no use for it but the cd is really scratched and I am not entirely sure that it will still play.

What remix version are you talking about? There is the version on the mixtape (which I have) and it has scratching and stuff but thats it. I dont think there is a remix....I dunno

My bad. I meant the mixtape version. sorry..

Mark, the one titled "Demo version" is not really a demo version. I removed the repeated stuff and added to the beginning when the song first starts. Thats why it sounds like that. Also at the end of the track, I didnt want to cut the song abruptly so I did a echo effect.

So in other words its not really a demo....Its the same as a mixtape version, I just removed stuff from it. Thats how I gave it to that guy that owned forfeitthegame.com or whatever.

But the demo was on DJ Vice's MySpace page. You are telling me you did an edit to it and it was then put on his MySpace?

The one from forfeitthegame.com was the "regular version".

What is the info (title, release date, etc) on the album and mixtape that the song appears on?

No idea. It would've been sometime in 2006, I imagine, but it was REALLY hard to find...it took months for someone to track down a copy of it and rip the mixtape version, and they refused to share a rip of the full mixtape, just Freestyle and the tracks before and after it so you could hear how the transitions worked.

I've seen somewhere that Freestyle was recorded in 2001.

And acording to ForfeitTheGame.com, crewdy obtained it in a trade in 2004 and released it to the site in 2005.

The mixtape it appeared on was released during the Fort Minor era, regardless of when it was recorded. And I don't think it goes back that far.

No. I don't have any interest in it. If you want to rip the full thing, feel free. I have the track before and after Freestyle so I can see the transitions but that's all I am interested in.

Can someone clear this up? Obviously the links don't work anymore but there's the mixtape version, which is legit, it's the .wma file. Tracklisting on this part of the mixtape:

10. DJ Vice

11. Freestyle *Exclusive*

12. Roc The Mic

Eric claims he made the demo but it was allegedly on Vice's MySpace and it sounds like a demo too...no rough cuts/edits at all or anything. If needed I can reupload the files. HOWEVER, it's possible Eric did make that version because the "regular verison" I have has scratching at the end and sounds like it might be just the normal version of the song that wasn't on the Mixtape, aka the "demo".
