Well we don't know the end date of the tour. I think October 17th until anytime before Christmas when we can find dates is fine.

we played ... last year and that was one of our first shows and we went on a little, it was supposed to be a month tour we got hired to do this thing for RJ Reynolds…

So December dates are unnecessary too?

You are right. Unless it's early December we should forget it. We are looking from like October 17th until late November/early December. You know how musicians can quote things and they can be a little bit off so who knows if it went for 20 days or 40 days lol

Wait a minute, who decided that the tour started in Albuquerque? The guy from Jonas post said "My first night ... My last night ...". And Sean said "one of our first shows" and not "the second".

Of course this is possible that he performed in all of the shows, and maybe this is just how they talked, but I don't think we should take it as a fact.

Do we have any other source for the first show?

Yeah. Like Mike's shows as the lead singer of Barrel Of Sausages in 1998.

That study site says 12 dates. I think October to November is the right range to look for. I also think Albuquerque was the first show, if there was another show before that we would know. I haven't found anything about them playing another show. There is not a lot of evidence for the Albuquerque show but it exists.

There were probably many Sin City tours going on, that's what makes it confusing.

So even if we'll find 12 shows we don't know how much are counted as the tour we're looking for (I mean the last one could be belong to the next tour etc..). So we need to find full source about the tour and all the 12 together.

I think it's pretty save to say that Tyler Fire was booked for the whole tour or at least most of it, as well as the other acts.

17.10.2005 Albuquerque, NM

24.10.2005 Grand Rapids, MI

Richmond

06.11.2005 Charlotte, NC

Make sense to me, the Texas shows fit the time frame but I don't think they belong, the acts are so different.

I guess the thing is that these were treated as private shows, maybe that's why we can't really find them on the artists websites. Maybe because it was sponsored by RJ Reynolds and smoking was allowed etc.?

I guess you're right, "exclusive invitation only". We can add a note about it in the show page.

It's obvious from the qoute I posted earlier that the Texas dates are belong to the tour, because it mentions Modest Mouse.

A Camel cigarettes representative was in the audience and invited the pair onto the company's Sin City tour, a Las Vegas-themed music and variety show featuring sword-swallowing, fire-eating and high-profile bands like Modest Mouse.

They accepted, and wound up riding the pole before thousands, from Albuquerque and Grand Rapids to Richmond and Charlotte. They were joined on their bill by Grindergirl — of Late Night with David Letterman fame — and porn star Ron Jeremy.

I'm saying this cause Houston and Charlotte the next day seems really weird for a small tour like this. They are 1,000 miles apart.

I also found this: http://web.archive.org/web/20051104054249/...67/Default.aspx (it's basically the same info you found before)

It doesn't mention any of the other known acts. These were also public shows.

Sin City tour might be several tours even going on at the same time. I think it could mean that Modest Mouse was on the tour or on ONE of the tours.

I'm just not convinced that these 2 belong.

So then is it even possible for us to get the dates? lol

Maybe we already have all the dates. I just mixed all the info in this thread, and I found out something interesting:

Puddle Of Mudd - August

Kings Of Leon, The Faint, VHS/Beta - September

Bucket Of Weenies - October

Modest Mouse, The Walkmen - November

Camp Freddy - December

So if in Albuquerque BOW played with Black Maria which were a local band, that means BOW were the main event for all the tour (right?). So basically this spesific tour changed (for local bands only?). Now, If they never announced about it (because they were a private shows), they didn't canceled it in public.. So you can't find it, unless you can talk with someone who still has the cancelation email or something.

In my opinion the only way to find it, is to find the other artists dates (like Tyler).

I am now working for Camel promoting Bucket of Weenies Featuring Chester Bennington from multiplatinum, Grammy-winning Linkin Park, Lead guitarist Ryan Shuck (alternative metal hero of Orgy), guitarist Mike Rouse (of the Bleeders, The Johns. bassist Mike "Cheez"Brown (hardcore legend TSOL) and drummer Sean Dowdell (Grey daze) are playing at Hollywood Avalon Theater with opening bands Lyra and The Daylights (www.thedaylights.net).

The band was originally formed this past spring in preparation for a May 21st Tempe, Arizona show celebrating the 10th anniversary of Club Tattoo, a flagship of a chain of tattoo parlors Dowell created with Bennington who were band mates in the now defunct Grey Daze. The band has an eclectic rock repertoire of Tributes and originals. This is the first major city debut for Bucket of Weenies. The show starts at 7pm.The Avalon is located at 1735 Vine street next to the World Famous Spider club Juicy Jay, Kabal, Colonel Clique, Thermal Detonator are having a party on October 30th. This will be a Disco Boodbath! Special guest include James St. James, Rocky Raccoon, Alexis Arquette and more. The party is located XES 1716 Cahuenga Blvd.

So I guess the Avalon show was going to be a part of Camel cigarettes tour as well and was cancelled

In the meantime, Bennington and Shuck are having the time of their lives with Bucket of Weenies, who put a punk or hard-rock spin on a variety of covers, including Elvis Presley's "Suspicious Minds," Oasis' "Wonderwall" and Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game." At the Avalon, the band also played Snow White Tan's "The Morning After" and a few Brown originals.

MarissaE reports that LA Weekly has a short blurb about Bucket of Weenies show at the Avalon

"No album, no studio, just live rock music." So said the press alert for Bucket of Weenies' first-ever show, at Avalon last Tuesday.Billed as an all-star band, but essentially Linkin Park crooner Chester Bennington's vanity project (c'mon, the other guys are from Orgy, Grey Daze, The Bleeders and TSOL), BOW do charmingly amped-up versions of Oasis' "Wonderwall" and Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" (which Giant Drag do better).

Yes but it wasn't their first show. The Avalon show was their fourth show, after Club Tattoo 2005, Albuquerque (kicked off Camel Tour) and Etnies.

I know lol. I just posted it as answer to Lestat, about his post that the Avalon show canceled.

So far we only have 5 known BOW shows? Possibly 6, if the 2006 December show happened. Maybe this was all they played, just 5 shows. Maybe they decided after they got kicked off the Camel Tour to call it off, but decided to play the Club Tattoo Party again in 2006. I personally think they broke up shortly after the Tempe 2006 show because Chester said on Loveline in 2009 that he sobered up and broke up the band. He got sober in mid 2006, according to multiple sources. Again, the December 2006 show is a possibility, but not confirmed as of yet. BOW never played any shows that we know about 2007 to now, and they didn't play the 2007 Club Tattoo Party and we all know DBS played the 2008 Club Tattoo party.

Who decided that this is BOW show and not Chester Bennington (with Ryan and Amir) show? And how do we know the show was canceled?
