This setlist usually had a a first encore of 'Cure For The Itch', 'What I've Done' (Album Transition Intro), and 'Faint', and the second encore was the long 'Bleed It Out'. Instead, LP moved 'Cure For The Itch' to the second encore and removed the intro drum solo from 'Bleed It Out'.

A press release on the Verizon Wireless website read: "LAS VEGAS, NV — The University of Nevada Las Vegas has won the Verizon Wireless “Remix2Win with Linkin Park” national contest thanks to Valerie Cossio, Class of 2009, who submitted the winning remix. Cossio’s prize, as a representative of UNLV, is a private Linkin Park concert for 2,000 of her fellow Rebels. The concert will be held at The Joint in Las Vegas on Oct. 6, 2008, and those who attend will also hear Cossio’s winning remixes of Linkin Park’s hit songs “Crawling” and “In the End.”"

- On October 6, 2008, Verizon Wireless released another press release about the show saying, "LAS VEGAS, NV — Following a statement issued by Linkin Park regarding the cancellation of tonight’s concert for UNLV due to the injury of lead singer Chester Bennington, Verizon Wireless’ Ed Ruth, director of digital music for Verizon, said the following: “Verizon Wireless congratulates the University of Nevada Las Vegas and Valerie Cossio for winning the ‘Remix2Win with Linkin Park’ national contest. We sincerely regret that tonight’s concert has been cancelled due to these unforeseen circumstances. Verizon Wireless will be in contact with the University and Valerie as soon as more information is available about the band’s health and schedule.”" The official announcement by Linkin Park read: "Los Angeles, CA (October 6, 2008) - Linkin Park has been forced to cancel tonight's concert at the The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel, as lead vocalist Chester Bennington has sustained a back injury and is under doctor's orders to rest. - The band debuted a brand new stage setup for the tour that featured among other things, rotating screens that spiraled and moved in all directions. Rob's drumset and Joe's DJ rig were able to rise and lower for songs like 'My December' and such. The "open" stage design was designed more for indoor arena shows so that the band could play several 360 shows. They also did away with the kabouki, so what they did at this show was Rob and Joe walked out to do 'Wake' while the rest of the band played backstage, and then the remaining 4 came out on the 'Given Up' intro. It's also interesting to note that this is quite similar to how Linkin Park did 'Don't Stay' as the first song at the 2004 shows.
