    - Starting with this show, 'Forgotten' was dropped from the rest of the tour and the band went down to eleven songs in the setlist instead of twelve.

    - Chester replaces two alternate screams in the 'By Myself' intro with the phrase "pick 'em up!", having just spent a few moments reminding people to help others who fall down in the pit.

    - Mike switches up the call-and-repeat at the end of 'Step Up', with the phrase "when I say 'Mister', you say 'Hahn'".

    - Before 'Pushing Me Away', one of the band's technicians had to briefly come onstage to adjust Chester's wireless IEM receiver attached to his belt loop, to which Chester remarked "dude, I'm so fucking sick of you Roger(?)...just sitting there staring at my ass."

    - Mike went into the crowd on the first chorus of 'In The End', and Chester went in during the bridge of 'A Place For My Head'.

    - Brad teased the intro of 'A Place For My Head' during Chester's vocal ending to 'In The End'.

    - Aaron Lewis of Staind came out and sang on 'One Step Closer'. His mic wasn't working until a few lines into his part of the song...he noticeably tries to check if the mic is actually switched on.

    Other Notes:

    - The band thought that Deadsy's stage set looked like a putting green, so they we came out dressed like golfers with clubs and balls and proceeded to play golf on stage during their show. This is documented on The Sequel To The DVD With The Worst Name We've Ever Come Up With. In addition to this prank, Linkin Park sent out their Director of Merchandise Joel "Bull" Hendricks riding a tiny bicycle with his underwear on his head while Staind played 'It's Been Awhile.'

    - Stone Temple Pilots invited every band in the tour to sing 'Sex Type Thing' with them. A video was released in the members area of the official tour website.

    - The entire show was recorded by Le Mobile, but due to a PA problem 'With You' and 'Runaway' were messed up. 'One Step Closer' from this show was released on the 'Family Values Tour 2001' CD.

    - To get in the spirit of KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas, LP played four acoustic songs in a row - the first time they had ever played acoustically. The stage turned before their "acoustic set" began, revealing a specially-designed Christmas-themed set for the band. Rob had Christmas lights on his drumkit, stools across the stage, there was a piano for Mike, the cello was brought out for Phoenix, acoustic guitars donned the stage, etc. Brad told Chester before 'Pushing Me Away' that it was like they were on "VH1 Storytellers". 'My December' featured Brad on acoustic guitar, so we are calling that an acoustic performance of the song. Phoenix stayed on the cello and Brad (Mike too, for the first two) donned an acoustic guitar for 'Pushing Me Away', 'Crawling', and 'In The End'. 'Crawling' featured an acoustic guitar intro by Brad and had Aaron Lewis from Staind on the song. Mike played piano on 'My December' and the second half of 'In The End'. Brad also played the 'A Place For My Head' intro on acoustic before the stage turns back before the song kicks in.

    - After 'Step Up', Chester says it's like the "KROQ Almost Acoustic Hanukkah" since the 9th was the first day of Hanukkah.

    - Right before 'One Step Closer,' the band played a short cover of Outkast's 'So Fresh, So Clean.'

    2/08/01: MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA

    Styles of Beyond has finished their time on our tour, and we were all sad to see them go home. they are really nice guys, and put on an excellent show. i hear they're going to go home to save up some money and showcase for some more record labels, as they are as of yet an unsigned act.

    as for us, driving almost non-stop for days at a time with twelve people trapped in one vehicle with "the shining" playing in the background isn't one of the most ideal ways to travel. -hahaha- at least we got here; the drive from denver last night was pretty rough, especially in the snow. something froze in our septic system, and the bathroom smell kept rob and i from going to sleep for a while last night. but our bus driver (also named rob) managed to fix it eventually.

    but this past week, the shows in salt lake city and denver were awesome. some of the biggest crowds we've headlined for, and the energy in the room really pushed us to deliver. everyone in our bus and taproot's bus have been passing around a cold. chester and steve were having coughing fits yesterday. all of our guys slept about 12 hours last night, trying to fight it off. good timing for a day off. we'll gather our energy so we can give 110% at the show tomorrow night.

    i'm going to stop writing and go look at some of those art contest entries. good luck to all...
