Short rant about the Warner store:

They somehow think it's a great idea to ship all their European orders from the UK even after Brexit. So shipping to Germany for example costs 17 Euros which is already ridiculous. And since the box set costs more than 150€, you also have to pay import taxes/custom fees/whatever on top of that. I guess in the end you pay a premium of like 40-50 Euros to get the box set from the label directly which is ridiculous. I try to cut out another middle man like Amazon so the band can earn more money, and what do you get for it? A premium price. Amazing.

I guess having their home base for the EU in the UK made sense like years ago, but Brexit happened a couple of years ago and they had time to sort their shit out. The majority of European people live in EU states and they don't accommodate for that.

I'll order from another shop most probably then. What was the process of getting replacements for the HT20 box set back then when you ordered from Amazon for example? Does someone remember?

Replacement was no problem at all. I ordered HT20 from amazon.co.uk back then and got both replacement packages from Warner. I just contacted them via mail the first time they were trying to fix it and I'm not even sure whether I had to send the receipt from Amazon.

I doubt anybody gives a damn but I have contacted Warner Records Germany about the Box Set errors (especially the ones that are only in the EU box)

Wrote a mail to the warner store about the whole EU downgrade situation. Let's see if they have anything to say about it (even though I doubt that I will get a reasonable answer).

Please keep us update on their answer(s). I was also wondering about the missing strap (getting stuff out of the box is quite tedious) and if they might resend the two DVDs at least. There once was a Road to Revolution vinyl release on record store day where the sticker said 'explicit version' but they accidentally had the censored ones on there. Warner then sent out correct versions for buyers, so it might be possible they do something about the mislabeled DVDs...

Besides, the EU version was sold out everywhere upon release of the box, I was wondering if they stopped shipping to stores after realizing the error and a second bunch of boxes will be coming to stores later this year or if it really sold out that quickly?!

Last time I ordered them a bunch of movies the boxes were damaged. I hope they don't mess up my 150€ order 😒

I will probably try to get a replacement if they don't manage to deliver the box properly 😅 But let's see and keep our fingers crossed, can't wait for October!

I have bought mine on german Amazon so i hope i am safe 🤡

I think we used to have PAL in Germany (actually in all of Europe as far as I know) so there shouldn't be difference between the UK Amazon and German Amazon versions. I actually ordered the deluxe set from the UK (even though I live in Germany) since it is a lot cheaper. Just hope the package doesn't get damaged on the longer shipment...

I'm so hyped! Looking forward to all the stuff, I think it's an awesome box with almost everything you could wish for and enough unreleased material to be special.

  5. Won't be able to play the 4k stuff smoothly I guess, but I'm looking forward to other downloads, the webcast and more videos on youtube! The first 15 rows were awesome yesterday, there was a huge pit (considering Linkin Park's standards) during almost all songs. We had lots of fun and energy in there, especially the rowing pit during In The End was amazing. Can someone tell me whether it's in the video?
Also the band seemed to have a lot of fun - I suppose they have to, if they wanna release it - but I thought they really enjoyed it.

  6. It's a decent album I guess. Can't really judge it's position compared to other albums after just one run through it, though.

ATS really let me down back then. I like to listen to it in its entirety every once in a while, because it surely is a fine piece of art if you see it as 'one track'. But there's no single song on it that has hit my play list regularly, maybe 'Waiting for the End', 'The Catalyst' and 'When they come for me' come somewhere near that. But that's not what I'd like to hear from one of my favorite bands.

To me, LT somehow was a step forward considering the single songs. It's really poor in its entirety (especially compared to ATS), but 'Lost in the Echoe' and 'Powerless' (one of their overall best tracks for me) were two awesome songs that I love to listen to.

THP probably is a mixture of both. I couldn't find any song that I'd consider as a masterpiece (maybe some will grow on me in the future), but overall the album seems to make sense to me. Not as intense as ATS, but it's probably better to listen to all of the songs.

'Rebellion' is my favorite so far, 'A Line in the Sand' startet really promising but the feeling of the verse was totally destroyed by this somewhat cheap riff. Sounds like a reassembling of GATS and Victimized riffs to me. And I really do not like Victimized. Would be nice if I can get used to it since I loved Mikes part and also liked Chesters...

  7. Thanks for your great work LPL-guys! Happy Birthday and keep it up! ;)

This show totally blew me away and - again - showed me which good stuff I missed when I still was too young to go to concerts and didn't really care about music.

There's so much energy and the show is just authentic. Pure adrenalin at its best. And One really is outstanding, they have to play it live again. Although the chance they will is pretty small I'd always vote for it!

thanks, thanks, thanks again! Let's see if you can make a DVD download possible :)

  8. Telekom Street Gigs website says they'll show a Linkin Park special with a compilation of highlights of Berlin's show on June 25th, 20:15 german time in a stream.

This might indicate that the theater show could be Berlin as well since both is shown on the same day ?!

Edit: never mind, I just saw the SURU pic, so this really is going to be Berlin I guess :D

At least we know it seems to be streamed in Germany as well.

  9. As soon as i heard the drums i knew what was going on. it's that standart drum pattern that every club track has, that every guetta song has. vocals are strong but have that melody that is catchy lie every club song, like every guetta song...

the only guitar in there is backing the chorus and i'm not even sure if its a real one. the whole chorus with its long uuuuup and dooooown is typical for every mainstream pop song. then mikes short verse is also typical for everysong that comes out nowadays.

the bad thing about it is that it sounds like every other popsong on the radio, of course you can tell its lp but they are now in one genre with guetta flo rida katy perry, etc and this song has the same target group. and i'm not in that group anymore. stylisticly this is very far from any kind of rock, theres no need for a band for this type of music.

I wouldn't say it that harsh, but that's the way I feel about the song as well and meant with too popish. The sad point is that I don't dislike pop and/or beat-driven music in general, although I mainly enjoy harder music. But BID doesn't even seem pretty good to me in that genre. Just average. Noting to hate, nothing to like. But as I said, it's at least not bad enough to entirely ruin my hopes for the new album.

  10. As I expected, the song is way better than the snippet seemed to me. I still don't think it's that good, but I like the way it's made - I realized some of those old era tools Mike mentioned in his blogpost mixed with ATS tools I liked.

So it leads me to look forward to the album. Especially because BID is just too much pop for me and I think the spin interview said it's really popish (despite the other songs they listened to).

The lyrics bring me back to HT and Meteora, and the beat is really cool despite the lack of guitars (even though the heavy synth reminds me of heavy LP guitars).

I'm actually pretty sure there are heavy guitars mixed into the chorus...
  11. The German TV-Station 'ProSieben' just aired an advertisement for a TV-Show which will be aired live from the Lanxess Arena in Cologne on 2nd June 2012. LP was announced to perform live accompanied by a snippet of the Burn It Down chorus.

It's about 100% sure that LP will just perform 1 Song during the show like Dead By Sunrise did back in 2009 at the TV Total Stock Car Crash Challenge (see show page here) since the scheduled event is a TV Total production, too.

The Show is called 'Autoball EM 2012' and could be described as 1 vs 1 soccer game with two cars and a huge ball.

The last time LP performed in a German TV Show also was for TV Total on ProSieben in 2007 (see show page here) to promote their first Minutes to Midnight single: What I've Done.

    Tickets: http://tvtotal.prosieben.de/tvtotal/specia...ll2012/tickets/

Here's a video of the performance:

  12. I really don't know what I think of it. To me it just sounds like a terrible, industry produced pop dance track. The same sort of rubbish like LMFAO and Nicki Minaj or any industry puppet.

unfortunately I feel quite the same about that snippet. I guess (or at least hope) LP won't give us a whole Song sounding like this usual electro-pop-stuff.

Considering this might be the chorus it's still kinda disappointing, but I won't judge it before I've finally heard the full song. I can't imagine LP promoting their new record as cheap as this snippet sounded to me. I couldn't imagine them doing avicii-alike-electro-music before I heard those 30 seconds though either...

    So let's wait for Monday.

  13. I have to say, even though I do not feel the same because I didn't know LP that we'll back in the early 2000's, I get how and why you feel like that. I respect and understand it.Maybe you overreacted a bit, maybe you just didn't find the right words, point in case, I guess you were misunderstood.

Either way, I admire you for sticking to your opinion, 'cause I sometimes like to be like that, too, plus you probably have a point. Most inportantly I believe you're a true fan, the most true, if there is such a thing. You fell in love with this band, you liked what they did, and now you're not completely happy with how the band's developed in some parts - and instead of being what most people might consider to be a true fan, which would be saying the music is awesome, but not feeling like that, you do the right thing. You say what you think, still loving the band! I like that. A lot actually.

that's one hell of a post! I already thought no LP fan would be able to understand that even die-hard fans can actually dislike the developement of a band. thank you for being here, I'm really happy to read something like that.

Sorry @ the others for going off topic but this just caught my attention...

to get back to topic: the cover was awesome! I couldn't watch the whole show so I hope there'll be a video-rip of this on here later ;)

  14. Isn't possible anymore. RaR already has 3 headliners (Kings Of Leon, Coldplay, System Of A Down) :)

Doesn't mean there's no space for LP.... it'd be a surprise if they don't hit one of the German Festivals I think, most probably RaR or RiP. Or they just do their own little PR again with something like 5 concerts in Germany.
