As far as additional notes, I don't have much but...

    - Chester's ex wife (Samantha) and Markku, former bassist of Hoobastank, came out to say hi to a few people at the front of the moshpit during P.O.D.'s set. The exact reason for this is unknown.

  2. I know this has nothing to do with the remixes, but it's kinda like the same thing..

Back when Living Things was promoted, they had this contest where we had to share a link pre-order-link for Living Things and the one whose link had the most clicks would win 'Lifelong free access to a Linkin Park show (limited by one show per year with only one person per show)'.

Now, I remember a list where the winner had been announced, but what about the prices for the people from rank 11 to 100 and 101 to 1000 ?

They said the people, that finish at rank from 11 to 100, get a 'signed and labeled copy of Living Things', while number 101 to 1000 was supposed to get a 'never used again promo-picture of the band'.

Since I somehow fell back to no. 165 or something, I had to get the picture and I also remember, givin them my adress for shipping, but I still didn't get that fuckin' picture 'til today.

Now..can anybody tell me what the hell is up with that ?

I got mine. It was a really lame picture where you couldn't even make out any of the band members, but the video screen in the background confirmed it was from a Linkin Park show. It was sent from Warner Bros. studios to my house.

  3. Linkin Park currently has a spot under 'Music' on the Xbox Dashboard where you can take an 'Ultimate Fan Quiz' and test your knowledge on the band, go through a list of their music video releases and view them, watch a short rehearsal performance of Castle of Glass (Spike VGA) and a few other things. It's not exactly big news, but it was nice to see a spot for them.

  4. There's no reason to believe that it's not real. Why make a fake of this now when the Linkin Park collector's market is nowhere near what it was a few years ago? Why wait this long to make a fake of something like this when it's just a plain CD with no artwork in a clear jewel case with a paper insert? Why make a fake of a niche item that isn't even guaranteed to sell in the first place, when you could just as easily make a fake HTEP and pretty much be guaranteed that some unsuspecting fool will hand over at least 50 bucks for it?

To troll someone like you that comes up with questions like this to convince yourself to fork over the money.

In all seriousness, you can never really know. It's always a gamble, but it's not very likely that someone would put something for that high of a price for a fake if they wanted to actually make a profit from basically nothing.

  5. Maybe they ran out of space and tried to spell "Revoke"?

It most likely has nothing to do with my old username. It's just funny to look at. With that said, I highly doubt it's an attempt at 'revoke' as well, because with the amount of money they put into music videos, they would have carefully planned something like that to ensure there was enough space before spraypainting it onto the wall.

  6. Has anyone else noticed a little bit of a error (or is it) at 2:56 on Roads Untravelled? Seems like whoever was playing guitar on the track accidentally hit the strings before its cue.

Kinda ruined it for me. Bugs the hell out of me hahaha.

I don't really think it's an error. It makes for a really nice transition for me that doesn't sound cliche.

  7. Rick didn't tell them not to make nu-metal or songs that sounded like Linkin Park. The band did that on their own. Rubin just suggested that they try different things to see what sounded best before deciding on a final direction for a song (like trying rapping over Hands Held High for example).

Hm.. my mistake then. I still stand by what I said though in terms of how it felt emotionless. I imagine them focusing too much on changing their sound probably had a lot to do with that. Living Things felt like they harnessed everything they learned and wrote from the heart again instead of wondering if it sounded too much like their 'old stuff' and forced themselves to change it.

  8. Just like ATS, LP wanted to make that kind of album as well. I don't see how you can blame Rick for this. Anyways, Rick is a fucking legendary, amazing producer. He was definitely what LP needed, if it were not for him and their change in sound, LP would probably not be here today.

I said what I did, because I read somewhere that Rick deleted anything of theirs that sounded like their 'nu-metal' stuff. If they were writing nu metal and it was from the heart, that still has more emotion in it than a forced change of sound simply to improve 'other skills'. If I have anything to cherish from MTM and ATS, it's Living Things. I love this new album and I know that they wouldn't have been able to really get there without those two albums.

  9. No, what bothered most listeners is that MTM (It's my least favorite album) and ATS (My Favorite album) were not Hybrid Theory/Meteora. Notice the period at the end of that sentence.

I didn't like MTM and ATS because it was quite obvious that Rick Rubin was taking a giant shit all over their creativity (per their request) and all of the music felt very emotionless.

  10. Miley Cyrus and Brittney Spears can sing better than Fred Durst. Lethal just makes me hate limp bizkit more, but durst is awful

Again, stop comparing artists who try to take themselves seriously to ones that are obviously tongue-in-cheek.

Just because you don't understand how something works does not mean that you have to nerdrage about such a minor issue, br0.
