  1. haha thanks man. I'll be much less productive now - money's gotta be saved (making an exception for the LPU11 CD though..)

also thanks for that info on the 8-track - i'd probably be the dumbass who'd go for that. I reckon I have a fake HTEP

you really don't need Songs From The Underground, trust me

I think a few pages back I described how to spot a fake EP. There's 2 versions out there so just take a look and test ur luck :P

  2. Why do you think it's official release?

    What catalog number?

Good question there. The tracks are official. The Artwork is similar to the Reanimation Release. It's really tough to decide weather it's legit or not. Besides I haven't seen a catalog Number on a Vinyl promo release Linkin Park Related besides the We Made It Germany Vinyl. But other than that I have no idea if anyone would be interested in Bootlegging a Vinyl :P

Ginger: Your talking about the above poster right? She's a lady silly :P

  3. Can anybody tell me: Are these fakes? Looks like they are.

The 1st one is the "Reanimation EP". It contains 6 tracks and was Issued only in Germany, I have only seen 3 anywhere in the past 3 years or so. Pretty rare stuff there.

The second one is just some Random Vinyl with unofficial mixes of Numb/Encore, not worth having I think.

  4. Well I thought I'd point out something learned from the 1999 Hybrid Theory 8 Track Demo like over a year ago and STILL Has people confused:

The CDr's that were initially used for the Demo, were White. Afterwards the "Gold Master" CDr's started popping up on eBay. The reason because of this change from the seller was because the following was found out:

The seller had the Legit Master CD. He made copies of the CD, and many of them and sold them off on eBay. The original white CDr was manufactured in 2003, which a fellow collector found out through some thorough research. So the seller being the smart ass that he is decided to switch up the CDr's he used, into the "Gold" ones. ALL The 8 Track Demo's are bootlegs which Collectors paid from $500 to thousands of Dollars. So please remember if you ever purchase an 8 Track demo, it will BE A BOOTLEG. White or Gold CDR. I don't know if they would have any value for collectors but that is the story behind the demo. Probably the biggest rip off ever to any LP Collector.

  5. Unfortunately everything has an end, as much as I would hate to say it, with today's music industry focused on other genres of Music I doubt LP will be relevant in some years or so to come. Though I don't like most music put out nowadays, I guess it's what's most popular to other people as a whole in general. But I'm hopin to still rock out to there music as many years to come :)

  6. hiya, got a couple of questions about some CDs

    Underground 2.5

can someone fill me in on a this one? the back cover says it was released in 2003 by EMI, (barcode - 7243 580568 2 2, other numbers - UK: 580 56882), the artwork looks a bit cheap and i'm wondering if this really is from the LPU, or just EMI trying to cash in on the "underground" name (aren't all the LPU CDs relased via Machine Shop...?) it's got some interesting tracks on it, and i'm not going to be really disappointed with it if it's not LPU, i'd just quite like to know :)

Minutes To Midnight CD/MVI book thing

I have two versions of this, one with a grey/red cover, another with black/grey cover - can someone tell me why there's two versions of the same thing...?

    cheers guys :)

LPU 2.5 is a good Bootleg with some authentic stuff and some fan remixes. So yeah EMI trying to cash in on LPU Name :P

The MTM CD/MVI Has 2 different versions. The Grey was released here in North America and the Black was released in the European Market. I myself have both also. Except I never opened the black one . Hope this info helps you out :)

About the crest: I noticed that like a year back, It's also on both FM Singles on the CD Itself and on Mike's DC Xander's and Pride shoes. So it's not the first time it pops up, pretty interesting Logo to say the least.

  7. My collection Update. Everything is for sale for the right price. Ask for the catalog if you want to confirm something. Almost everything is in pretty excellent condition. PM me if you want something, name your price.

Off Topic: I had to bump this someway it was nearly at the end of the 1st page :P lol

  8. A month or 2 ago I saw a eBay listing for an Medal of Honor Booklet that came with a Promo CD with "The Catalyst" in it, I didn't bid on it unfortunately as the seller was in France and his listing was in French, and the Booklet looked like a Banner :P lol. I'm not too sure but I think that Promo CD has the Mix in it. Would love to get my hands on it sometime :D.

  9. Hey,

There is a thread for all collection based questions or anything related to it HERE

Also to answer both of your questions:

1- personally I do not Mind buying either, online, auction or through a record store depending on how badly I want the Album can determine either one. of course I bought ATS the 1st day it was released...at the record store.

2- Older stuff (Promos, Before LP, etc.) I usually prefer online or auctions or if your lucky private collectors :D.
