It would be unfair to ask for a singer who can play the whole catalog but atleast he/she should be capable of playing 80% of the main albums. I dont want a vocalist that avoids the screaming parts and just let the crowd sing most of the song. I wonder what is going to be the role of the female vocalist? is she going to be considered a member of the band? new songs? tour only?

She doesnt have enough power to do the screaming parts of other songs, also she doesnt really screams its more like yelling. She can do All For Nothing.. YOU SAY!!! I cant picture Bonnie doing the Faint/OSC/APFMH bridges, no way. Also now that QWERTY is getting popular they might play again, theres no way that she can do that.

Jay was always right, he messed up and threw the interviewer under the bus, for sure he had a source close to the band that told him that the band is coming back w a female singer. Talking about Jay's words he said that THEY ALREADY HAVE THE SINGER which is something different from what Billboard is claiming. Makes sense if they already have the vocalist, they need a lot of time to figure stuff.

There's no way that they can go on tour and not play heavy songs, even Mike on his solo tour played APFMH w Jennifer. Mike and the rest of the guys know that they need to play the heavy songs and a vocalist who can sing all or almost their whole catalog is needed. I hope that they don't choose someone like Bonnie from Stand Atlantic, she has a nice voice but she's very limited and doesn't have the screaming ability, she just yells like Deryck. Someone like the vocalist of Spiritbox or Jennifer would be great.

If I had to name 3 people with the more extensive knowledge about the band in no order Mark Hahninator Astat Geki I wish we had Geki around I prefer his knowledge over other users that usually post only nonsense stuff or rarely bring any topic to discuss about the band. I'm annoying I know but at least I try to keep the discussion going about the band. Bring back Geki

When I was trying to figure out how the band could comeback there was not a single scenario in which I imagine having a female vocalist as the lead singer, I love female bands its what i listen mostly but I think that female vocals dont go well with LP's sound. But no matter what I'll support the band, hopefuly they chose the right person for the job.. being the lead singer of LP means that you MUST be able to sing almost any genre, any style. Why a girl? the only thing that comes to mind is that they want a fresh start, probably having a girl would help to not being compared day and night to Chester.

Linkin Park Considering 2025 Reunion Tour With New Vocalist "Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and Dave Farrell are weighing plans to bring on a female vocalist to succeed the late Chester Bennington. Three members of Linkin Park are mulling a possible 2025 reunion tour and are considering hiring a female vocalist to succeed late lead singer Chester Bennington, several sources close to the band tell Billboard. Booking agency WME is taking offers for a potential Linkin Park tour along with headlining festival dates featuring Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and Dave Farrell, the sources say. The band has not indicated who will sing on behalf of Bennington. One source tells Billboard the band is hoping to find a female vocalist to front the reunited band, matching rumors that have been making the rounds in recent weeks. On March 30, during an appearance on Wired in the Empire on KCAL 96.7, Orgy’s Jay Gordon said he had heard rumors about a Linkin Park reunion. “Very, very cool guys and obviously a great band,” he said. “They’ve been around a long time and they’re still going for it,” he said. “It’s going to be tough without Chester, but we’ll see. I hear they got a girl singer now. That’s what I heard.” Gordon later issued a statement saying his comments had been taken out of context, writing, “With regards to this linkin park singer thing. I know nothing about any of that.” Shinoda was asked about a possible reunion around the April 14 release of Papercuts (Singles Collection: 2000-2023), telling Revolver magazine, “Rumors always go around. People always ask what’s next for the band, and the best answer I can ever give anybody is when there’s something to tell you, we will tell you. When there’s an announcement to be made, it will be on LinkinPark.com. If you’re hearing it from somebody else, you can trust that information as much as you want to trust it.”"

QWERTY (Live in Tokyo, Japan 2006) Official Release
JZLP-Benningstrong replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
People tend to exxagerate when they say that QWERTY doesnt fit in MTM, its the album that has a 18 second heavy ass screaming and then the next track is LOATR lol. QWERTY shares elements from other songs from MTM... that punk feel from Given Up, Rap verses from BIO, agressive vocals from NMS. the live version sounds like a Meteora song, the studio version definitely sounds like any of the heavy/rock songs from MTM. -
