C'mon, how can someone take this statement serious for just one second? First of all it's Joe, and Mike's response is not serious either. Total stereotyping that Joe only does scratches lol.

Yeah you are right, LPUX was obviously moved to Thursday because of the London Summit. I wouldn't mind if it happens tonight instead of tomorrow hehe.
-
I thin that's still better than him leaving the stage for several songs like he did in 2007/2008.

This seems like an accurate list: http://lpcatalog.com/item/lpu I think all those were Fridays. The site seems to just guess the day. They also mistake the "hang with us in the studio" for LPU Sessions.

Yeah the forums changed a lot but I think it's also a quite big shift in the fan base. I was talking to Mark about it the other day. Nowadays it's almost a whole new generation of LP fans, at least online but that's a different story. I think all changes in the LPU and basically trashing the old LPU forums, destroying years of work and info drove many fans away. LPU7 and 8 very pretty weak years too. People were extremely unsatisfied with the whole LPU situation at that time, the service was extremely bad. If the band is not touring the LPU gets boring too, no meet & greets, special events or summits. I like how the whole contest thing seems to work but some other things are not working so well. LPU Auctions had nothing in months, not that I would ever buy something there and the prices the people paid there are just extremely ridiculous, but the items were pretty cool. The whole LPUTV is still and always has been pretty weak too. I mean Fiore records probably several hours of footage every day on tour. And all we get is some random 1 minute video every month or so. The content is usually good but it could be way better. The exclusive mp3 content that they've been advertising for as long as I can remember is basically not existent. All I can remember is Morning After live and Crawling in 2009. The launch of the next LPU is definitely one of my highlights of the year, I can't wait for the new CD. But every time I visit the LPU forums it seems so dead to me. I know there were always some weird people (no offense) but it's not getting better, it's scares me a little what I see there sometimes. I like that here about LPLive a lot better, people know what they are talking about, and if you don't someone does and helps. If you ask something specific over at the LPU you either get no replies or 10 dumb answers until someone like Astat rolls in and tells them otherwise and they still don't believe it xD. I remember LPU threads on the old forums with like 100+ plus pages of random stuff.

so the LPU12 stuff is pretty much gone from the LPU store, only the full package is left right now. I hope some of the items come back, still wanted to get me a laminate + LPU12 CD + LPU8 CD *hehe* before LPU13 but I guess now I can wait until after the launch.

No, the listening party was at the Machine Shop office.

I get logged out all the time too, it's so annoying, it always says "select membership - the site you are trying to access requires a membership" then I hit cancel and I'm logged in.

We only list the bands that shared the same stage with LP/STP etc. otherwise it's too much, especially with festivals that have several stages
-
I think we did that to provide some more info about the venues like current name, capacity, pictures etc. instead of putting all that info on our own page somewhere and link to that. Visiting the venue website is a step we do very often anyway to verify if the names are right, with old and new one to figure out the venue type for example. With old ones you even find out something that the venues don't exist anymore, cause they were demolished, burned down or whatever. Good catch, these are some relics of the 2.0 era. We had no other bands field there so they were listed extra, so some pages still have it twice which needs to be fixed. Goofs like this are almost inevitable with the huge amount shows we have now. We are bug-fixing all the time, it never ends. Bad Religion is missing as well so I guess it's just badly researched info from years ago. And btw. this is a topic for corrections, and not questions and discussion about a new site version. The more unnecessary conversation is in here the harder it is for us later to work backwards in this topic to fix everything.

Updated the list.

I introduced that to show where LP's etc. spot was in the line up order when they were not the headlining band. That's way easier than to say LP played after Band 1 and before Band 2. So: * = LP I don't Chester changed his pants at the Biloxi show, you can clearly see a safety pin.

Lorrenzo confirmed there will be no live tracks

1 week, sorry I forgot that.

I'll go with A) Demos

What is the bet about? What kind of tracks are on the upcoming LPU XIII CD When does it end? Wednesday (Nov 13th) midnight (timezone TBA) or if any info leaks that influences this bet. After this you can't change your prediction/vote anymore. What happens if I'm wrong, when I lose? Everyone that loses has to use a silly avatar (within the forum rules, gifs are allowed too) for 1 week to be determined by the winner or winners, if there's for some reason no winner we'll find another solution. Rules: There are 3 options to pick from, the CD has: A ) Demos B ) Remixes C ) Demos with at least one Remix - LPU Sessions is excluded from this, it's known info and they are also not demos/LP songs. Please try to aviod questions or off topic talk, keep it clean.
-
I hope Mike learned from this and does either LPU chats or a reddit AMA. Way classier and that's what most artist seem to do and they all seem to like it. Way better system.

Yeah exactly, 2007 festivals were kind of ok, but they kept playing the same set for both headline and festival shows. PMA piano at a festival is probably the worst thing they could do. Especially since it's not the normal version of the song. If it was their biggest well know ballad, but it isn't. Instead it's a super slow version of PMA that works waaay better at a solo show where people appreciate it. At festivals people just start taking, get bored, fall asleep, go away. The only things that saved it were the heavy start, No More Sorrow, Faint extended etc.

I think the fact that LP barely comments on it right now, especially about stuff outside of Download might be that they have to keep quiet for a while, that the Download sales keep flowing with this exclusive performance. Which obviously works. Download is one of the first, if not the first of the major european summer festival to go on sale. They have a good headstart. Rock am Ring/Rock im Park don't go on sale with part of the lineup until about mid or late December. If they play other headline shows, festivals, those are probably not going to be announced until early 2014 up to March, maybe even April (based on previous tours). That they headline under this condition is not suprise to me, since the 2011 Download setlist was pretty weak setlist wise, LOTS of ATS songs, probably lots of stuff most people didn't want to hear. I think LP just doesn't really know how you headline a big festival like this.

*gets torch and pitchfork from the barn* just kidding I don't miss Crawling at all, just like ITE it's one of those songs you "sit through" at shows, the crowd singing loud to ITE makes it great though, I love that part. POA was one of the highlights of the HCT no doubt, even without all the intro/outro stuff, that needed a rest as well, it's good that they change stuff up once in a while. With You sounds kinds weak, especially without the cmoooon in the beginning, it's just not the same anyway, we all miss it, it belongs to the damn song. APFMH is solid as always, they could extend the bridge more. By Myself is not a masterpiece but I'd like to see it at least. I'm pretty sure Chester will struggle with that one as well as he does with With You. Papercut is one of those songs that should stay, the crowd goes crazy on that one.
-
They know that we all want that, I hope they find a loophole (if it's really a contract thing) to make more people happy. Maybe it's even enough if they change the song order or spread the songs throughout the set, or at least add By Myself, PMA and Forgotten to the other sets as well.
-
Because the LPU does maintenance next weekend? I think they do this every year like a week before launch and people always freak out cause lpu.com is down for a while and people think the next version is coming.
-
Thanks fixed it, I'm more used to type 2004 instead of 2014 (yet). The custom setlists thread became huge over the last 5 years. 40 pages and almost 800 replies. wow! I honestly don't like that every time something like this happens people start posting setlists into discussion, that's what the setlist topics are for. But I think it's really interesting to see how the setlist predictions changed over time and what turned out to be true or not.

Even if it turns out that they do the full HT only at this show doesn't mean they won't play Forgotten, By Myself at others ^^
