2014.09.15 - Los Angeles, CA (VyRT)

VyRT is pulling all the videos from youtube. Since the stream ended up being free I'd say it's allowed to be shared here. The VIP content might be questionable though. -
Pretty fun how that one happened after I found out what was wrong. Someone recently pointed out that it was misspelled as Conoga instead of Canoga, after that typo was fixed the show disappeared because the database query was still set to Conoga, which usually can't happened because the queries are set to the dates, so name changes don't matter but since this show doesn't have a date it's differently.

There's a minimum of 500 posts if you want to change it yourself, but you can also PM me any time and I change it for you.

There's no title beyond the 3000, it's not a glitch. A custom title is always an option too.

Summit is from around 10am to doors (until the show opens for the public) maybe even a bit beyond that time, depending on the schedule of the summit. Stuff that's usually happening at a summit: - Checkin: you get your pass and all your stuff - Lunch - Raffle, for selected activites (for example: Photo with the band, 3 songs side stage, photographer for the first 3 songs, backstage tour with 2 band members, watch the show from FOH) but these might slightly vary. - Auction for cool/rare selected signed items, usually like 8 items or so - Q&A with the crew - Activities: these are always subject to change depending on the location etc. and you have to pick before the summit. Darien had: - Backstage tour, bus tour, sound - Stage tours: stage production, guitar tech, DJ tech bass tech, drum tech Maybe some more I cant remember right now. You had to selected 4 of them and one was assigned to you. - Last activity: Q&A with the band (maybe something acoustic) followed by a M&G with the band Some other summits also a soundcheck

the LPU CD as a physical release of the Mall songs plus whatever else they have. Aside from the CD, fix the damn LPU login.

In 2012 it was insanely bad (watch the club nokia show) I'm sure that's why they dropped it. That he sings SKAAANE just like RAISIN in New Divide is just extremely annoying to me, they should drop it if it doesn't sound right. I'm not going to a concert to hear a terrible version of a forced song. To me Crawling was always one of the most boring live songs because they always played it. The encore is pretty bad and squeezing Crawling in there only makes it worse. They played this song a billion times, why not bring something like PMA back for example? -

We've seen a couple of shows and I have to say Crawling got a lot better over time, it's still pretty bad imo, it's not what it used to be especially when he sings "SKAANE". It's is a huge crowd pleaser though, I remember a particular situation at the Tampa show, where some people behind us said before LP started that the band has to play Crawling, it's basically the only song they wanted to see and they exploded when the song came on.. -

some of this stuff is just horrible though, I mean they do change stuff but not the right stuff, or they just keep stuff that needs a rest very badly. That the band is not changing stuff is not true. Let me call it the Tucson set, it was a MASSIVE change, it took us days to figure out all the changes, combined with all the fucks ups it was a big mess. The changes for the Carnivores we not big but they managed to make a few things better and a few things worse. For example the NMS intro to the (full) Until It's Gone, why the hell did they drop that? Even more short songs on this tour. The return of Crawling WTF, it is so bad, just like New Divide. I like the Joe and Mike stuff, it's awesome, I love it. LFY/DOYS is an awesome idea but holy shit the execution is so bad, Joe completely fucks up the song with the Jay samples. Almost everyone says that the Ballad Medley kills the concert energy, I couldn't believe that they keep it this year, I always hated this part of the show, that and the boring encore. But what most people mean is that they have been pretty boring on the Carnivores tour, and that's a fact. Only 2 sets and nothing has changed so far, except maybe shortening (lol) Crawling too in one of the sets. No collaborations with the other bands. No Rakim either. WHAT THE FUCK!? -
That makes absolutely no sense, the management works for them and not the other way around. They support the album no matter what, opinions don't matter here. On the other hand it makes so sense (to me) to cut this part of the online marketing, millions watch these videos. Also I'm pretty sure that the management and label are two completely separate things.

I heard him talk about a few things in Darien. He skipped a couple of shows on the east coast, including Wantagh, he said that he's not allowed to film there, I guess that also explains the lack of 2012 footage. He flew home to edit the Live Nation video because he couldn't do it on the road. This episode seems rushed to me, I'm not sure if I watched part 2 or what it was about but I really liked part 1 which seemed pretty detailed to me. Rock am Ring which was no doubt a major show on this tour, ended up being 30 seconds long and they completely skipped over Rock im Park. Download was way too short too. It seems to me that being on the road and also editing the videos doesn't really seem to work out. The timing is so bad, stuff takes forever to get released. I wonder if the management demands the episodes to have a certain length. I think they would be a lot better if they were longer. Maybe the management is not ordering more episodes besides the bare minimum.

Ha! had the same thought earlier, wouldn't surprise me actually.

"one time only" is good advertisement haha, and is the whole point to sell this thing, if you don't pay, you'll miss it, basically just like a normal concert... In the trailer it says "watch with your friends", so if someone does a viewing party for this, it technically "hurts" VyRT as well because only one person buys a ticket and others watch it for free. I'm pretty sure this stream gets "pirated" if you like it or not, I bet they even add encryption to this but that's not stopping people. There's nothing you can do about it, enough people will pay for it anyway, there's absolutely no harm done.

It's still 5 songs not just 4. I wonder if Joe actually expected that the new music would get more attention from the fan base than the actual movie (let's be honest here) ? I guess that's at least the reason why they try to avoid comments about the soundtrack so far.
