  1. To me, it makes no sense for them to return to their heavier roots. The music industry is a very different beast right now, and rock isn't really selling.

Linkin Park was never a Band who sold on singles very well, they are earn money with selling records. Bands like Metallica or Rammstein does it on that way too.

But Linkin Park a different and maybe special because they have their own genre. Look at a song like New Divide it is a kind of rock and sold very well. When I look on LP's previous singles then I see on the MTM period the have sold more singles as on Meteora or Hybrid Theory.

The ATS Singles sold very bad, because maybe of the fact it was not like what we expect from LP, but for more it was to much change for a mainstream sound.

So, for LP it doesn't care how is selling, the important thing is that it sells out. In the LP way it means, it is better to return to their heavier roots. I think.

  2. I would like to hear some harder songs, like they did on MTM. It is okay to be creative but I think they have ignored their rock sound to much. The fifth album need a fresh rock sound and hopefully they do this on the new album.

I don't want to complain, it is just a wish on the old days. I hope Mike meant with "good mix of old and new" that they do more rock together with the new style of ATS, just like a mix of MTM and ATS with more rapping.

  3. It depend on the time from LP. In Dortmund they haven't a lot time. After singning, only chester and mike stayed a few seconds. I could shake the hand from mike, that is all what I've got and my signed Tour-shirt.

In Berlin, a week before they had more time. I could see a report in the television in Germany about the Show in Berlin, and they had also showed something from the Meet and Greet there. They were hugging with the Fans, give photos...so you need a little bit of luck to get all of this.

But, to meet them with a photo or without is a great experience for sure.

  4. Talking time to any band member is very limited. As you walk by to get your item signed you can talk a few words. But that's not much. photo with one of them? well depends on their mood and if they stay after the group picture or not.

That's the fucking problem. I was on a Meet and Greet in Dortmund 2010 and I didn't have the change to get a Photo with one of them. We were a small group, maybe 20 people in a small room in the underground of the venue, every of us had 10-30 seconds to sign.

It was my first Meet and great with them, and I couldn't talk to them. It is funny, you know you will meet them, and when it starts you don't know what you can say.

I don't know how it is for people, they're fluent in english because it is the language in their country, but for me that was at first difficult.

  5. Chester said, that he were shocked when they not realease an Album in 2012 ...so the goal to release an Album in 2012 was there.

Moreover with the rock am ring news, would announce a date...Summer 2012 which is mid of the year. But nobody wanted believe that..and now mike confirm this.

I think mid year is the deadline and the album will be out.

  6. I voted for Minutes to Midnight. It was the first prove, that they can more as to be a nu metal band. They have written many good songs in that process that I loved like "across the line", what I've done or what we don't know.

Bleed it out was a song, that can be only wrote by them. They have guitar solo's on this album that was making the song really special like, "In Pieces".

Valentines Day, has a piano solo and build up to a really good rock song in the end.

There are a lot more, why I love this album..

  7. I still say 2013...just a hitch because Shinoda said 05, then 06 for MTM, then 09 for ATS...always they say it's coming out a year or two ahead of time.

Oh come on, this is not fair. Shinoda did Fort Minor in 05 and a year before they have worked with JZ. So MTM took only 1 year and a half since 06. In 08 and 09 Chester worked on both records, one for Out of Ashes and for LP. In the meantime of 08 they were touring a lot.

It is really imagine that they release the next record..they toured only 1 Year with ATS and bothe Chester and Mike have no activies with Fort Minor or Dead by Sunrise.

So yes, they will bring out the record next year I'm sure.

  8. When the management from rock am ring announce a new album, then I'm sure it comes. The Promotion have to come from LP and to play on this festival make really sure that they have new album in the summer.

So I fucking amazed, Metallica and Linkin Park at one festival that's great. I will buy my ticket next month. I don't have to miss that.

  9. I really impressed about the new lpu 11, the stuff from the Hybrid Theory era sounds really different, so they were in that time also very experimental. I was a little bit dissapointed about that only few demos from ATS and MTM were on it, I would like to hear more of MTM and ATS.

So I recognized some things, the Guitars in the beginning on Program sound a little bit like the bridge from Given Up and on Broken Foot in the beginning sound like A.06 a little bit, I think.

  10. I can agree with everybody. I was at a Foo Fighters Concert in Cologne and they blew me away like LP never did before. That is not a fair comparsion because the Foo's are still rock , they feel that energy of rock, in their blood flows "the real rock". Dave said keep in mind the real rock, I like his sight about the music because it is still true. When I see on Linkin Park on stage I gotta feeling like "where is their engery", "why they don't entertain us, why are they so bored". I get the thought they haven't fun in their own music. After Minutes to Midnight came out they were full of energy, they becoming bigger and for now they played headline slots of the biggest festivals in the world. Brad say in a German "MTV Masters" Interview that they are happy to headline the big german festivals Rock Im Park and Rock am Ring, he said also that he want what he can on the guitar and he did. The No more sorrow intro, and the Faint outro was his idea and today he will be play less guitar ? I can't believe this, I can't believe that he play with fun. The last where I see brad really fun was in 2007, in and after 2008 Linkin Park changed their Live presence, but they played different sets. I think LP really don't care about of Live presence with interacting anymore, that's sad.

  11. Because it is easier to jump in definitely new style and copie things from others. It is more challenge when level up my stlye with new things and create something new with that what sound like before, to become a sound that is different but is still what I am and what I was. Become to this is more challenge and more difficult, but bands who went that way are legends, you know ? And LP didn't want to try this, they go the easy way and sell the style that they have really good because of a great Fanbase.

  12. When I donate, do you make new T-Shirts for lpl in the future ? Or is the money for that kind of things like for example the T-Shirt. I haven't a LPL T-shirt it would nice to know if you maybe do that in the future.

  13. I guess I have to you are right, they are different in the past but they are still a rockband or not ? Metallica didn't jump in a other genre like LP did, to be different, they grow up with their own sound and create new things with their style.

On the other side LP is really different, now they are a little bit of U2, Pink Flyod, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead ect. they didn't LP anymore. I understand what "FleshIntoGear" wanted tell us. LP started with a Nu metal sound, in their own kind of sound, they create something new and that blew us all away in the past ten years. Not every other Nu metal sound could compare with the sound from LP because they were more melodic and the lyrics were dark and deprresing they were a kind of new Nu metal era. But someday they thought "we have to be different" and this is okay but personally I think when I'm in a band I should don't forget my roots, I should create Music with the roots I began, different but a kind of that. "Bleed it out" is a example that it works, to be different but still with heavy LP Sound.

That is what I think, A Thousand Suns ins't bad, it just slow, silence and not heavy, more pop as rock.

  14. each album has a different style

Not each album. Some artists play the same shit, again and again. But that insn't what I want to talk about.

LP is different than other artists because they broke their basic's. Other artists don't jump in other genre with a complete change they change the genre with their own basic sound. For example Metallica their change some their own style but they still Metallica with a heavy, metallodic sound. And now look at LP, their changed everything what they had, that insn't bad but also not great too.

We know what they can when they release working titels/demos where they mixed older things with something new. The only Problem what I have with LP is that they forget to rock.

  15. After one year A Thousand Suns take on the second place on my album ranking, it's a solid not more but that impressed with new ideas and different sounds. That thing it make it better as Hybrid Theory and Meteora. For the rock side it insn't very well, that because it take place as the second best Album. The Best Album is Minutes to Midnight, on that album they prove what they can with instruments, that is still my numberone album.
