  1. I remember back in 2012 where the Einslive radio station mentions a Linkin Park Tour in Fall, but this Tour never happen. So I believe in this when I see official tourdates announced by the band itself.

They need a comeback here in Germany, I'm really hungry of the new Linkin Park.

  2. The cast of Transformers has changed and now the band that is okay. It could be also possible that Michael Bay asked the band, and the band were like : "No we don't contribute a song for the movie anymore".

It doesn't matter, I look forward to the new album coming out, in just 4 weeks.

  3. Some people like it some don't, and we discuss it, that's what forums like that are for. If everyone would say "I like it" or "I don't like it", without discussing it, the topic would be dead after 1 hour after the premiere, and it would be boring. You know you don't need to read that you don't like? so let people criticize as much as they want, because that's what forums are partially for.

Yeah, but you have to admit that "bitching" and to have a opinion that comes up with reasonable arguments are two different things. Put the hate in something because of disapointment is not discussing. I can understand if some people don't like a song, but I can't understand when people getting upset because a song doesn't hit their music taste, it is not the band fault, you know. Moreover we speak about LP, if someone don't realsize that you can't really expect something by the band then you are fan of the wrong band, sorry.

LP started with MTM to branch their music, but some don't get this and that my friend pisses me of.

  4. Looks like we have different definition of metal Posted Image

Really, who cares about genres. If you don't like the song, you don't like the song and that's it. What someone likes or not not depends on genres, it is just your own music taste.

@OT : I hate the bitching here, it is really annoying to read the same complains everytime. Let the band do what they want or listen Meteora and HT and get lucky.

Can't we dislike or like a song without criticize them, what they have done ? There is no need to discuss, I hear the guitars in UIG, I feel the heavyness. It is one of the heavier songs that we got compared to the past years.

I don't get what some people here want by the band.

  5. Basically, the LP fanbase just wants Hybrid Theory. Still. 14 years after it was released and after 3 studio albums later from evolving past it.

I don't think so. Actually I think the LP fanbase misses the mix of aggressive vocals/rap with the melodic of benningtons voice. The past records were just straight in one direction. MTM was more instrumentally, less electronic, ATS was an eletronic rock based album and comes up with a concept idea. Living things was kind of a mix of all albums.

Everything is fine, I like all records by LP, but I had that feeling after LT they only work with computers, they are not playing anything with instruments anymore.

MTM was album which suggested how the band can work with instruments and I am glad that they finally do it again. LP fans do not want HT again, I don't want it, but what I want is that they are blowing my mind with guitars and hard drums again. I bet the hunting party is that mind blowing.

  6. ...

I couldn't remember the exact date where download to donate was done, all I know was that Lupe fiascos song contains the Universe MTM demo and LP released Not alone on DTD. I guess I mixed up some dates.

    You are good informed. thx.

  7. Could be, because they released ATL, Blackbirds & Not Alone all around the same time basically (Late 2009 into early 2010). We also then got WWDK on LPUX later in 2010.

Was Download for donate not released in 2008 ? Sounds obviously to me that Not Alone was a MTM demo. Universe was also a MTM demo (we know that now from the LPU13 release), which is used for a song by Lupe Fiasco which is also on download to donate. Due to the Tour in 2008 in Europe and later in the states, I think it is obvious that Not alone was a MTM demo.

Blackbirds and ATL were released in 2009, all other MTM demos comes right after that.

  8. MTM has classic structures... Intro-verse-chorus-verse-bridge-chorus-outro

GATS has also Intro-verse-chorus-verse-bridge-outro. MTM is a more instrumentally based album, and it seems to me LP6 is going in a similiar direction, hopefully. With that heavyness of GATS, the structure of a ATS and the melodic of a MTM, a dream would come true to me, if LP create such a album.

  9. I don't scared about the diversity LP has, I really know what I can expect by the band and what not. This song is mind blowing and I'm exciting what I get to hear in the summer. I only think that something is missing in the song, it is more like jamming than the experimental stuff before. It has a kind of "back to the roots" but it is also different.

Guilty all the same is a good rock song, but is less experimental. I would more like to have an experimental heavy rock song, but I don't want judge the band before the had released LP6.

It was just my first impression of the song.

  10. At first I listened to the single, I was glad they that brought back the heavy guitars that I missed the last years. But I think it sounds not really like LP. Yes I know, they always want develop their musically skills, with doing what they did not before, anyway I miss something in the song.

I like the long intro and the guitar work, I like the Rap verse by Rakim but I miss something Linkin Parkish. I don't know how to describe it, it is my first feeling about a Linkin Park song, that could be made by another artist.

  11. Nice for Us people, I wish they would do an Europe Headline Tour, too. The whole Livings Things Tour they were only on Festivals in the UK and Germany, except the Admiralpalast date in Berlin. It looks like they do this again, only rock the festivals.

Unfortunately I have to skip rock am ring. We need headline tour dates.

  12. Mike had confirmed to have new album in mid-year, what means june. I think we will get first information in may or maybe at the end of april.

New songs on the festivals, I would say yes they will play new songs and I'm really excited about this.

Back to the album, maybe they don't want a great PR for the Album.

  13. Wow, this thread started out well but it's plain to see that all the haters came out of the woodwork again.

Is it so hard for all of you to accept that none of you are part of Linkin Park? It's really that simple. If you're in the band, you have a say in what music you want to make. If you're not, then you don't have a say at all. Just try to enjoy the music they do make and stop fighting about it already.

I'm not a hater, I say what I think. And I think they have to go to more Rock again then for a Fan it is pretty hard to see your favorite Band doing a kind of metal or rock, but with later releases they going softer and softer.

Are we fighting against the Band ? No, we have accepted ATS but I can't accept that do nothing on stage for the fans for example to play the old shit that they have never played for years. Like I said it is not only their record change.

I like MTM, I think it is the best album that they have ever done. It is fresh, it is rock and is Linkin Park.

ATS has only 9 Tracks, the other six are whatever Intros outros ? Empty Spaces is the funniest ever. ATS is a Try to be conceptical, more not.

But I like all songs, I don't hate it, but I want the guitars back just simple.

MTM felt like they were more inspired by other artists, not to say that's a bad thing but ATS is more like LPs own defined sound

That's intressting, because ATS remind on a copy of Kid A from Radiohead. Robot Boy is definitely inspired from "Hey Joe" - Jimi Hendrix or the Video from Waiting on the End remind me on a Video from Radiohead too.

  14. It is everytime funny to see, how people are defending ATS. They say the change is good, and it is a good Album but the most people like the prevoius records more, that's a little bit controversial.

Change is good, but to much is to much. It is not only the change on their records they have changed on theirs shows a lot too.

So my question is, is that what they really want for the fans ?

I like ATS, but sometimes I think I like it only because of a still hope that they return to a harder sound. I don't want nu metal back, I want that they use guitar or harder drums. Is this really to difficult ? Is that really to difficult to be creative and making good rock music ?

    I think not.
