Here's my entry. Tell me what you think - I hope you'll enjoy it!

Do you guys think Mike will put out a full album eventually? I always hoped that Chester would with STP, but they only did that one EP. A full album would be badass.

I think he will release more EPs and they will also be called "Post Traumatic" and then eventually it will become like one album. I'm just guessing.

 

Actually, nobody played Chester's part haha. Phoenix played a structure that hasn't been played live before, and the same semi-applies for Brad during the beginning. I guess these guitar parts are slightly more complex than the bass notes, making it easier for Mike to do backing vocals.

I heard some new guitar sounds but I thought that it was just additional section played by Phoenix and then he played Chester's part. But you're probably right.

Does anyone know why Mike played the bass in SotD/WoWY?

Phoenix had to play Chester's guitar part and I think they are more complex than Phoenix's bass part so it was easier for Mike to sing and play bass than singing and playing Chester's guitar part. I hope you understand me.

You're pretty ignorant and/or unaware of the back catalog of music if you think Mike can't sing the songs mentioned above. There is quite a bit he can actually sing, from Iridescent to Rebellion to Roads Untraveled to all the stuff Alex listed. Reboot the live show with the stuff Mike CAN do comfortably, add the new music when the time comes, toss in a Fort Minor song or two, and it's good to go. That's a full set....easily. Like it was also mentioned, In the End is the #1 most guaranteed song in the catalog they can perform in full without touching a single thing, because the crowd sings SO loudly at every show. Close the show with it if you want. I think this is the most obvious way forward. We will see.

I was working on it for almost an hour and I noticed that there were even some songs that I didn't include in this setlist, for example "Step Up"... Of course, I'll respect every decision that the band will make but I hope they'll continue because they have a lot of ways to handle the shows without Chester. I agree with you.

Honestly I was working on this setlist really long, it took me like one hour, really... I think Mike can handle some songs that Chester sang and there are some songs that he always sings. I think some mash-up's with Mike's rap verses could be great too. There are just my ideas of these mash-ups (it looks strange but I think Mike can do this, we've already seen what he did with Fort Minor set), they could be completely different - I just wanted to throw in some good rap verses there. Actually I think it's really good setlist and I would have A LOT of fun watching it on stream or when being at the concert. When I started making this setlist, I thought that it will be hard to bring a heaviness to it but I think that Mash-up #1, All For Nothing, Rebellion or even No Roads Left would be really heavy. I just don't know if Mike can handle 23 songs. It can be a little bit too long without Chester. I would drop It's Goin' Down/High Voltage rotation slot and one of the mash-ups then... BTW, I know there are a lot of rotation slots but I thought that I wouldn't have much options with Mike as a lead singer but it turned out a little bit different so that's why. Of course there are some tributes for Chester and I hope they'll bring in something like this to the setlist if they'll continue with Mike as a lead singer. Start the show with Chester and end with him. That would be beatiful, in my opinion.

Tell me what you think about this setlist.

I wrote in this topic that I would want Linkin Park to continue with Mike as a lead singer but I've watched "Live In Texas" today and I can't imagine that there will never be any heavy songs on the setlist again. Of course I like, for example, "Invisible" or "Sorry For Now" and I have nothing against Mike's voice, he is great but I think that there will be a lot people on the Linkin Park concert that will expect "One Step Closer" or "Crawling" to be played and obviously Mike can't sing these songs. Almost every big single that Linkin Park have is "Chester's song". I think that whole concert with only Mike on vocals could be a little bit boring, because almost every song that Mike sings (maybe except "Rebellion" and "No Roads Left") is mellow and a setlist full of such songs would be a little bit strange and boring. In my opinion, Linkin Park should be named "Linkin Park with XYZ" (as Stone Tempe Pilots did with Chester) and they should bring a new singer. It'll be hard for me to watch the concert without Chester and with a different singer but it'll be better option.

But of course, I'll understand every decision that the band will make and it'll be good to see Linkin Park with Mike as a lead singer because I'm sure it won't be bad and it'll be interesting to hear completely different setlist and watch how Mike can handle whole concert singing alone.

I don't know why you don't want Linkin Park to continue. I can't even imagine that "One More Light" is the last album of the band. I know it won't be the same without Chester and I don't want them to make album in two years or something like this. They should take their time to think about all these tragic things and take a new singer, at least in my opinion. It would be hard to see Linkin Park on stage without Chester, I still can't believe that he's gone forever but it will be better for me (and I believe for many fans) if they'll release many albums in the future and OML wasn't the last. I know (at least I hope) that Chester would want Mike, Brad, Rob, Dave and Joe still make music as Linkin Park and would have nothing against it. Even if they'll take a long break after Chester's death, it'll be so great to watch five of Linkin Park even in five or six years.

I hope they will continue making music. It's like a light at the end of the tunnel after the information about Chester's death. I can't imagine that there won't be new Linkin Park album anymore. I know it'll never be the same again but I need to see at least one more Linkin Park album in the future, even in 10 years, but I know that I need it.

Both are great and awesome but Nobody Can Save Me is one of my favourite tracks from Linkin Park right now.
I know that One More Light will win it anyway but I will vote for One More Light, I enjoy Nobody Can Save Me more.

Now it must be Talking To Myself.

I'd like to vote for "Talking To Myself" because I liked it less when the album was released but now I feel it's a little bit better than "Sorry For Now". But I like both songs and it's hard for me to choose.

First three are asouletely awesome and actually I can't choose which one is better. I put "One More Light" on the first place because it hits me really hard, the emotions going around there are beautiful. So I think as the most emotional song on the record, it's the best, but "Sorry for Now", "Halfway Right" and even "Nobody Can Save Me" are really close. But I think that putting Heavy that low is unfair too, because I like this song so much. In my opinion the album is great and I like EVERY song on it so even "Good Goodbye" is a song that I will listen to a lot. Probably my favourite album right after "Living Things".

I don't know why but I have a desire to write my review of this album. I'll do it soon but I must listen to it a thousand times more.
