Always an emotional experience hearing Chester on these unreleased songs, especially here where it's one of the last Linkin Park songs he ever recorded. I don't think FF would've disrupted the flow of OML given how short the album already is nor do I think it's too similar to any other song on the album, but I'm sure they had a good reason to cut it. The tracklist is odd, in a greatest hits release that should represent every era of the band, omitting THP is an interesting choice. While the record label likely pushed for this release to follow up the success of M20, I'm sure the band had the final say in the tracklist and the lack of THP was their choice. And yeah, songs like Given Up and The Catalyst that are important songs of their respective eras probably also should be included, but it's subjective and when you're limited to 20 songs for whatever reason (19 not including FF) it's not an easy decision on what to include. That said, I'm happy that QWERTY will be hitting streaming services and is a song that newer fans may not have heard before. Greatest hits/compilation albums aren't really for me anyways, I'm just ecstatic to get Friendly Fire out of this, I legit didn't expect to hear this song for many more years.

I haven't been following social media much in general lately, so imagine my shock when I get an email from Linkin Park that Friendly Fire is out friday! When Mike talked about this song a few years ago I thought it would be saved for an anniversary release, but it makes sense to keep the momentum going after the success of M20. I wonder what other surprises might be in store for LP fans this year, still hoping for Mike to announce a tour. I've just got to avoid playing that snippet too many times before the full release. Getting to hear anything new with Chester let alone a fully finished song is such a gift, this last year has been amazing for fans.

Song is a short banger and will sound even better live. The bridge could have been more substantial, but I do like the frantic energy of the song. It's for sure the most LP-like out of Mike's solo work aside from Promises I Can't Keep. New music is always exciting, but I'm more excited about seeing him live. I missed the Post Traumatic tour, I'm not missing the next one, whenever that is.

It wasn't so much about Andy as it was about the sounds that we gave him We reapproached that mix to make it more presentable for almost like 2023 standards

M20 is crossing off multiple fan "holy grails". TTAMP = Lost, Cumulus with vocals (More the Victim), and Mike basically confirmed Rob's drum track from the Making of Meteora is one of the titles too. Mike really wasn't kidding about this year being an exciting time for fans.

Unlike Lost, Fighting Myself was a step below finished, but it's the next most "complete" track with 2 verses and a chorus. According to Mike, "we had the makings of a chorus that was like 90% done, to the listener it's done". More The Victim is another demo, "More the Victim, released in a version that's basically 'the furthest we got with it, in terms of a demo'".

April 7th is the correct release date. Someone needs to update Linkinpedia.

Mike basically confirmed Rob's drum track from The Making of Meteora will be on the box set. Mike was live on TikTok and played the clip of it from the documentary when asked about it, he said "you'll find out soon enough, maybe you should check out the Meteora box set". This has been a "holy grail" for fans much like Pictureboard and Lost, I can't wait to finally hear all of it.

If not, then I'm thinking the TTAMP line is the chorus for the 2002 Mix. I'm just wondering why the WM store didn't list the 2002 Mix on the box set, the absence of it is the only difference between what Martinez leaked here last month and what the WM store listed. Hopefully when the page officially goes up this time it gets included.

Firstly, wow, holy shit. Secondly, "thoughts that take away my pride" isn't the chorus. So, I wonder if it's the chorus for the 2002 Mix or if it does appear at another point in the song. I'm blown away, this is a fully finished song that just didn't make the cut for Meteora, and I can't believe we're FINALLY getting it after 20 years.

Oops, I actually completely forgot Resolution will also be on the Lost Demos CD, lol. Wouldn't have thought that if I remembered. Still, I wonder if Lost had an earlier working title we may or may not already know of, Iooking forward to the band explaining more about the song when it finally releases.

I know, already edited my post. I just don't know what else Resolution could be though if it wasn't an early working title for Lost.

Maybe the "lost" package will be a cassette tape for the recorder? We still have to "Call M about the old spot" too, whatever that means. Still several updates left, I imagine.

I didn't even consider that there might not be an update throughout the weekend. Ha, and I was so sure we'd be getting an update today at 12:00PM PST. If there's an update, then there'll be a new post on the band's social media pages telling us, for now that's the only reliable information.

I don't know for sure, but I'm assuming that if we were getting any update today, then it would be at the same time as it was yesterday. Which is about 40 minutes from now, so let's hope so!

I wonder if the site and Lurple will update today at the same time it did yesterday, which was 3:00PM EST. If not, then tomorrow, I guess.

Since 2017, these anniversary releases have been the only time we get this much LP fan interaction, let's just enjoy it. "Lost" or anything else coming from the countdown were expectations we put on ourselves, lol. The band has always done these kinds of teasers and most fans that only follow LP's socials don't even know about the leaks, so have some fun with the buildup and a little more patience. I want to figure out the site puzzle and daily "Lurple" myself, so I'm probably better off avoiding any fan circle for the rest of the week as it updates.

Whatever LPC is teasing seems like their own fan project to celebrate M20 and isn't directly involved with what LP is doing. Regardless, the official reveal for M20 is only a day away anyways. I'm looking forward to both.

I'm not sure if MtM really has an equivalent considering how many songs that were finalized or nearly finalized have already been released. We know 17 songs were considered for MtM, leaving 5 cut from the album, but it's either possible we've heard all of them OR there's 1 left unreleased. No Roads Left, Blackbirds, Across the Line, What We Don't Know, are 4 of 5. The fifth could be Pretend to Be, Chance of Rain, Not Alone, or Ammosick/The Last Line. Grecian was never finished, and they stopped working on it in favor of QWERTY. Fire in the City got scrapped and some of it was reused to create Given Up. That leaves Chester's version of No Roads Left as one of the only unreleased songs with vocals left that we know of for a potential MtM20.

I'll be eyeing linkinpark.com throughout the countdown to see if anything changes. The HT20 teaser was designed to mimic a Windows 98 desktop, and this one is a reference to file-sharing programs of that era such as Limewire, where malware would be disguised as something like "LiNkiNgPaRk-nUmB mp3.exe". Maybe "Lost" will be released at the end of this.

In the meantime, what about the other number under the gasmask in the LPC image? 000296-04 There may be another digit after the 4, possibly a 1, but I'm uncertain. Not sure what significance it has, if any. Obviously not a phone number, so I don't know what it could be.
