I can pretty much guarantee that my story of how I got into listening to Linkin Park is different than anyone else's. I was pregnant with my daughter, and it would have been early 2001, around March or April. One Step Closer was on the tv and my baby started kicking me like crazy. I had heard them countless times before that, and thought they were pretty good, but that definitely caught my attention. I went out and bought the cd after that, and every time that song played she would kick me.

 

I didn't get to see them live for another 2 years, and I was hooked after that.

 

Best part of it though, is my daughter still likes them, shes nine years old now and she sings along with me in the car when I play any of my LP albums.

How kind of them to use an alteration of the setlist that Xero used in 1997!

 

What I forgot to mention is that everyone except for the lighting technician were elsewhere during technical difficulties in a gigantic stadium venue. Luckily it was only the PA system that was shut off for the entire set, so the band could still hear each other at least via earpieces but they were oblivious to the fact that their fans could not hear them. The crowd was only moshing to the faint sound of Rob's drumming.

 

At least Pooch did his job by attending a listening party during all of this chaos to hear Limp Bizkit's new album. (lolwut?)

 

It was also a webcasted show for those who couldn't view this epic setlist at the actual performance.

 

The synthesizers to Carousel kicked in until a message on the screen read:

There you have it, the worst possible setlist, because of the probability of the chaos that would probably ensue due to our luck.

1. Foreword take #1 (Joe forgot his MPC, so he had to literally break something..so he broke his turntable with the other guys)

2. Foreword take #2 (After a 10 minutes delay, cuz he broke his turntable, and waited for Pooch to deliver his MPC..duh)

3. Grecian take #1 (The band suddenly stopped to play this, because they realised that this song is unfinished, and they didn't know what to play/sing)

4. Grecian take #2 (After another 10 minutes delay, the band came back with completely finished song, which sucked, and caused all the fans to boo at the guys)

5. Announcement Service Public (The fans went crazy for it's debut, but chester failed to sing backwards, so they were forced to stop the song, once again..duh)

6. Wish (NIN) (After the first chorus, the guys from NIN came on the stage and raped all the guys from LP for singing their song)

7. My December (Mike did a joke, turning the vocoder used in The Requiem, so Chester sang the whole song like it was a girl)

8. Bleed It Out (extended to 10 minutes, with 8 minutes of Chester repeating the chorus and doing his sexy moves, like he fucks the mic)

- after bleed it out, phoenix threw his guitar like in LIT, but this time at Chester, and he successfully hit him, so they had to take a break to stitch Chester's head. He decided to smoke some weed as a painkiller, and got completely high..the other guys decided that it was the perfect time for...
