  1. If you think Meteora was better than A Thousand Suns than you need to get your ears checked. I mean are we hearing the same album here? What's the deal?

Meteora was more formulaic, polished, and more dumbed-down than Hybrid Theory was. The whole album felt like it was just made for the masses and not for themselves. Songs like "Hit The Floor" and "Don't Stay" never should've seen the light of day, let alone become fan favorites. On the other end of the spectrum A Thousand Suns was an adventure before it even came out. The promotion of the album was phenomonal. The dark pictures, the creepy messages, everything felt like a mystery. I felt like I was a part of the album. A part of the journey. The album itself was beautiful. When I first heard "And in the end we were made to be apart/like seperate chambers of the human heart" I teared up a little. 9 years ago when I first heard "I WON'T BE IGNOOOOOORED!!!" I kinda laughed. It sounded like Chester was venting about being picked on in high school or something. A Thousand Suns is artwork. The songs are much more detailed, and the album has a song for everyone. If you like reggae/pop you have Waiting For The End. If you like prog/electro/rock you have The Catalyst. If you like industrial/experimental/world you have When They Come For Me. The whole album is filled with suprises. It's like a mystery book with more twists and turns than a rollercoaster. Meteora on the other hand, a cheesy remake of Hybrid Theory with little-to-no ambition or emotion.

EDIT: If you want to know my favorite albums in order, it's

Reanimation tied with ATS > Hybrid Theory tied with MTM > Meteora

What an interesting turn of events :P

  2. Lol I'm not gonna give you long paragraphs. I can't come up with anything to say.

  3. Which is better.

The Summer tour in Europe only will feature Burn it down and will be before the new album. It's better to have it after :)

    I agree.

+ if it's later in the year it will be an indoor show! I prefer indoor shows :D

  4. Chances are we´ll find two destinations

When you preorder the album in the UK one of the benefits is listed as "Early access to tickets for the upcoming tour in UK." Finally some news on a UK tour!

Yeah but it's not this summer it's later in the year

  5. I've heard few times already about "guaranteed" Meet&Greets for some members. What are those? Is it official? What are/were the conditions to get it?

Adam: The only members eligible for the guaranteed meet & greet are those LPU11 Annual members who purchased the $60 membership between November 15, 2011 and January 26, 2012.

They changed the prices after that so all the people who bought the $60 version before had no option to get the $25 annual deal

So they were given a guaranteed M&G which is valid until they decide to use it.

    I think...

  6. I asked this question a few days ago on my own thread, and got a few answers. Just figured I'd ask again for a more "concrete answer'.

    So...

Since LP is finally coming back to Washington DC to make up for the February 2011 show, I have a question, regarding pre-ordering tickets and early entrance to the shows.

Would I have to buy TWO LPU passes/memberships for TWO people to get early entrance? Or could I just get one pass, and me and my little brother could both get the early entrance access?

Sorry for not knowing a whole lot of this information, but I figured I'd stop by here and find out. Please and thank you all.

Adam said in the LPU chat that they were looking in to making early entrance for you and a guest.

    I also have a question:

how do Meet&Greets look like now?

When I was @ M&G in 2007 there was all band members sitting at the table and signing stuff. No photos with band.

After that I read that system was changed: less band members, more time with them, less people, photos with band members.

Later Summits started: whole different experience.

How exactly do M&G look like now? How many people approximately attend them at each show on average?

How does picking process work? Is it totally random? or newcomers have more chances against those who were at M&G before?

At the iTunes Festival last year all the guys were there. No individual pictures but we got group pictures. All signing stuff and talking to us.

  8. I only recently joined the LPU myself.

Regarding the early access, there was an LPU chat recently and Adam stayed for a while longer to give us a chat of his own. He said they were looking in to the possibilty of making it so that you can bring one person with you to early entry.

I've never bought pre sale tickets through LPU before but I don't imagine they would just limit you to one ticket.

You can wait for a more concrete answer because, like I said, I only recently joined LPU and don't really know all the details.
