The requiem gives me the same shivers as The Don't Stay intro at Rock am Ring 04. Love It.
-
I absolutly love it, but it could be called "A Thousand Nun's" because its a bit safe
-
anyone agree that Wisdom, Justice, And Love is clearly a set opener?
-
Maybe im a tad crazy saying this, but this song has so much movie potential.
-
Majorrrr potential live! LETS SEE HOW MANY INTRO'S AND OUTROWS WILL CAN GETS SQUEEZED OUT OF THIS ONE..

Quote from the The Times online. Story about Russian president Medvedev meeting Bono.
The singer made a canny observation, though – the Russian President is indeed a passionate fan of music (although apparently he listens to Linkin Park, which stretches the definition somewhat).
Some people are too rude.
-
now I can go to the first LP show of 2010 and be surprised with the setlist, and then tweet it live as it happens!
Lets hope its a suprise every show, the 2008 one got a tad boring.

Absolute joke. People shall hate me for this but in europe, we pay more for our ticket and draw the biggest crowds. For example in the UK, Lp headlined sonisphere, Reading Festival, and Milton Keynes And then play at the countrys biggest indoor area.
o2 = 18,000/19,000
Milton Keynes = 65,000
And on average Reading festival/sonisphere pulls around 80,000
So how about do the u.s tour first?

A hardcore Linkin Park fan isn't one that has liked Lp since HT, A hardcore fan is someone who appreciates HT, Meteora, MTM, and ATS and what the band are trying to achieve and the effort that has been put into to that piece of work.

I seem to remember seeing a thread a few days ago about people complaining about chesters voice not being up to scratch? maybe the autotune is just being used to correct his pitch a tad. DONT READ TO MUCH INTO THIS. its a simple review. autotune dosnt have to make you sound like T-pain, thats not why it was invented and thats not its sole purpose. BUT ofcourse If you dramtically edit the pitch then it distorts the voice.
-
You would be a fool to take a review seriously, every one has there own interpretations, everyone percives music differently. I have put past that chester has to scream and mike has to rap. instead of worrying about the new album or anticipate what will happen, im just going to be open minded and enjoy the ride.

Billboard review of the the single "The Catalyst"
ARTIST: LINKIN PARK
SINGLE: THE CATALYST (Machine Shop Recordings/Warner Bros. Records)
For the lead single to upcoming fourth album "A Thousand Suns," Linkin Park offers a nearly six-minute anthem of aggression with two distinct parts. "The Catalyst" lets the band dip its toe into electronica in its first half, with rave-ready blips surrounding Chester Bennington's dystopian cries. At the three-minute mark, however, the track morphs into a slow, emotional dirge, with Bennington singing, "Lift me up, let me go," over a beat tailor-made for a stadium's worth of slow claps. "The Catalyst" recalls Muse's epic vocal chants as well as Green Day's political commentary, but Linkin Park creates an original, if a bit awkward, transition from twisty techno to fist-pumping rock. The band's interesting fusion of ideas -- and the fact that "Catalyst" is its first No. 1 debut on Billboard's Rock Songs chart -- proves that Linkin Park still has a few tricks up its sleeve.

Phoenix just confirming what we already know.
"We wanted a track that represented where the album was going to be and how it was going to work, and this was really the track to do that. ... It's a risk, but [it's] worth it," he told MTV News earlier this week. "We've known [the album is] going to be different, and if fans were expecting Hybrid Theory or Meteora, they're going to be surprised. It's going to take people some time to figure it out and know what to do with it."

Holy shit batman, you all need to shut the fuck up.
Who cares if Chester doesn't sound perfect live. That's just more fact for me to feed on that Linkin Park is one of those bands where they actually sing their songs live, and don't lip sync. I remember back in the day, people complained that Chester sounded TOO good and that he lip synced. Now all of a sudden he sounds like shit and needs a training coach?
I wouldn't mind taking your ticket to see Chester sing live. Really, I don't. While I'm watching Chester sing and not hit some of those notes in songs, all of you can come on LPL and bitch about how Chester didn't hit those notes. I'll go listen to my crappy Chester sing, and you go listen to your AMAZING Lady Gaga sing.
Praise the Lord!

Chester does struggle but who dosn't. And regarding "The Catalyst". to me Chester seems out of his vocal range and miles out of his comfort zone, Glad to see Linkin Park moving forward and Chester trying to push himself to try vocal ranges he has never hit. If he wanted to he could knock out the vocals of a song like OSC for breakfast, lunch, and definatly dinner.

no this is hot 100
And No. you said Top 40? of which chart? Lp topped the Rock songs chart. so where does the Hot 100 come into this?
-
AND even though I live in the UK, even I know that Linkin Park will mostly be played on rock stations thefor appearing on the billboard rock charts. Billboard charts Measures airplay audience impression on Mainstream rock, Alternative, and Triple A stations.
-
the top 40 is horrible, only one or two songs are good, the rest are disney, emo, eminem and taylor swift
If the Billboard Rock charts, contain disney, eminem or taylor swift, its time I gave up on music.

Nice to see two artists from different backgrounds, both oozing with talent, creating like they do best.
