  1. you started complaining before the end of the 4th song. die hard lp fans such as ourselves have to understand that we're gonna hear LOTS of repetitiveness and boring run of the mill set lists. but LP is shining their true colors right now. put a smile on, grab some popcorn and enjoy the show. maybe they still got a surprise up their sleeve, maybe they don't. i'm just sick of all the hate, bashing, negativity, depressing comments, and lack of faith/respect for the band.

i came here excited for the show, and wanted to read what everyone had to say as i watch it. and this forum is making me sick.

chillout everyones entitled to an opinion. Just let people moan, let people praise. Peace and love.

  2. there's so much that could be said about the new album with critics that i'm starting to hate reading reviews full stop. Because this is what's gonna happen

They record something different from ATS:- OMG! THEY CHANGED! I HATE DIS!

They record something simular to HT:_ OMG! THEY RECYCLED THE SOUND! THIS IS WACK!

At the end of the day, i think people should just be given 30 sec snippets and review be banned.

Forum "opinions" are allowed becuase it gets people talking and majority of the time the conversations are intelligent.....but full on reviews (despite me doing one myself) are fucking bullshit.

  3. I was surprised it didn't ask if the fans liked the dvd behind the scenes coming in a cd package. I think they should be included with all albums. Give insight on certain songs progression and also the mindset of the band when recording.

  4. to people saying "so what's important about this 03-04 footage"....the clip shown is the ONLY pro shot show known about. It has been MYTH for ages. But the clip has just opened a huge fucking door. This exclusive will blow everyones minds.

  5. If LP did decide to leave Warner, would they still be able to release demos they recorded while under Warner?

just to go back and put my 2 cents on this comment also. If LP did leave Warner....Warner would put those demos out in a heartbeat because they know it will sell. They might even drip feed them like include 1 on 1 special edition then the next year re release with a new demo. Copy Paste Repeat...etc.

  6. Some bands need record sales. But Linkin Park could pull a Radiohead (donate what you think they albums worth) and still make a bomb. While they are stuck with Warner all i can see happeneing is albums every 4 years while juicing out live albums to make money from us lot who eat it up like chocolate cake. I can even see Warner re releasing HT or Meteora in the near future with demos that were exclusive to LPU as a "Special Edition" just to make the fans not in the LPU gobble it up.

LP need to provide the albums to Warner and get out of that deal. But i'm not entirely sure if the live albums/Remix albums count towards the actual contractual agreement.

  7. Astat is right, the more we crack the encrpytion, the harder it will get. But everyone loves a puzzle.

There is an easy way (make shift) to get each layer until then.

    1.Turn off "miss sounds"

    2. Turn off audience

    3. Plug everything apart from what layer you want (vox for need something blowing into the mic thats unnoticable but make it vibrate, like putting it on your power supplyand have "vocal cancellation" option on)

    4. Thats the best way to get each layer until encryption is solved.

  8. i reacon it would be highly possible for mike to search his pc for songs that didn't make HT and Meteora stick em on a cd hand it in to warner and they'd release with tons of promotion. and we'd think they recorded it yesterday.

Because without actually being in the band, you don't know what they have behind closed doors.

  9. Unfortunate sounds kool, a lo of people say it sounds like "opening" when "opening" is just crawlings chords on a piano, which Unfortunate isn't, so i'm not seeing that at all. Good instruental none the less

What we don't know should have made at least a b side for mtm. Don't understand how the band could have not seen the potential this track had.

Oh No, its a very different demo of POA than we had, maybe even Mike knew he had to give us something really early for this track as most of the demos out of POA don't vary this much in sound.

I have Not Begun, i like bass part made from the (holding your finger on a plugged in jack to jack). Could have easily fitted on a Fort Minor record tho. Would have liked a chester chorus and this could have potentially been a new favourite of mine.

then we get to pale, when the beat kicked in i was like "OH NO! sounds like eminem's like toy soldiers" but then that beat just fits into the background, halfway through the song i felt i'd heard it before, then someone on here pointed out Madina Lake's Freinds And Lovers.....is Mike/LP ghost writing for other artists?! It's so close to it....it's very hard to beleive that both bands just happened to have the same structures....unless madina lake heard this and copied it. I dunno.......i'm not them so i will never know.

Divided sounds very radiohead at begining, has a very easy flow to follow. I feel this is more in the vien of lockjaw, just mike and rob playing together trying to come up with something.

Coal is the best track on the cd for me. Very fresh and new sounding, adventurous. Something i feel the band lack on newer material. At parts it sounds like "one step closer"s drumbeat, but i know that complete over thinking it. I a tempted to make a remix of OSC with this instrumental tho.

Halo......drumbeat again sounds like something else, numb this time, on a whole this song could have easily have been finsihed and added to the album but as astat has said, would mr gilmore and WBR Dildo Crew really allow LP to do everything their way? i very highly doubt it.

Lots of people are saying they prefered LPU9 to X and the only reason i can think people are saying this is LPU9 had demos of songs we'd heard the finals of, so it was good to hear how the song progressed. On LPUX most of the songs are the ones that didn't make it. I personally love all demos but given the choice i'd choose X, purely because it shows us the songs that didn't make the cut that we may never of heard. Demos of songs on albums may be released later down the line on a 25th anniversary package (WBR will definatly do this, as an easy cash cow move and will prob only include songs the LPU already have)
