I do use LPCatalog, nearly my entire collection is marked on there (I need to add some stuff).

I assumed it was bootleg because it wasn’t on there, but there’s a few things that are still missing on the site so I figured there was still some small chance. I got my legitimate one off eBay as well, but it was from a collector with all the other stuff being legit as well. I don’t care if it is bootleg or not, I brought it up because I hadn’t seen any bootlegs that match it specifically.

I can probably take a photo when I get home, it’s closest in appearance to the first release, but the cover is cardboard and not a sticker and the CD doesn’t match any of the releases

Unless there's two versions of the mixtape and one isn't well documented, I'm pretty sure I managed to get a hold on a bootleg. It wasn't even an intended purchase, came with a deluxe edition of The Rising Tied, but it doesn't match my other copy and the disc is definitely off

Is the "M. Shinoda" remix of What I've Done on LPU X considered a demo? I've always thought it was a weird addition to the album considering the title of specifically is "LPU X: Demos", but it's barely any different than the previously released Distorted Remix.

Obviously not all the demos on LPU albums got final releases and most are still considered "demos", so I wonder if Mike just came across an earlier (or maybe even later) version of the remix not even realizing or remembering that a different version was officially released. It honestly wouldn't surprise me considering the alternate versions of Shadow of the Day and No Roads Left that eventually made their way out that it wasn't intended to be an alternate version of the Distorted Remix

Took a listen to the vinyl, seems like those edits may have just been done by Green Lantern based on how the were being censored, but that doesn't really prove anything if that track-by-track had the clean versions.

Not to call you out saying it's not true, I'm just curious, are you sure that used the clean versions? I found your thread that had the download at one point (it and someone else's mirror are now down) and you mentioned removing the songs before the commentary and that you no longer had the original files later on. If you, or anyone, has the track-by-track, I think that'd be a great addition to the LPLive Archive, even if the songs aren't included, I'd love to just hear the commentary

Does a clean version of the special edition of The Rising Tied exist, physically or digitally? More specifically clean studio versions of Be Somebody and There They Go?

The Japanese entry, while it is missing the parental advisory, is not actually clean. The Australian entry might be clean, but it looks identical to the explicit Australian version so I think this might be an error as well

On martinez's Digital Releases site, there are no clean versions of the special edition songs.

Both the pages for Be Somebody and There They Go on Linkinpedia mention clean versions of the songs existing, which is really the only source leaving me believing that they do exist.

Linkinpedia also mentions "There They Go - Green Mix" from this, though I can't seem to find any rips of this vinyl online. It's possible that Green Lantern just made his own clean edits of the song considering there's apparently a clean version of his remix of Nobody's Listening on there as well. Most of the cursing on The Rising Tied wasn't actually censored but was instead replaced with new lyrics, so if that remix had different lyrics it'd most likely at least mean there's an official There They Go clean version somewhere, even if it isn't released.

Where can I find the clean version of The Hunting Party? I've seen it referenced in a few places between different Linkin Park communities, but I can't seem to find a link to somewhere that has it for sale, and I'm 99% sure it wasn't released physically

This may be the most nonsense question ever, but it has been in the back of my mind for a while now: Do the song titles for the Reanimation remixes have an official way to write them out (case wise)?

All the songs on the back cover are ALL CAPS EVERYTHING, but that's not uncommon for tracklists on the back of albums. Another thing going towards them being all caps is the DVD menus for Live in Texas, where all the songs are written normally, aside for P5hng Me A*wy, which is in all caps again. The caps would also fit in more with the use of punctuation and numbers as letters.

That being said, almost always, the songs are written out like normal titles anywhere else officially. I've noticed two exceptions to this though. The official YouTube channel lists Frgt/10 as "FRGT/10" and Ppr:kut as "PPr:Kut".

The answer to this question is more than likely just no one cared enough to keep it all consistent and I'm over thinking things, but at least this is something to ponder and waste time while we wait a few more days Post Traumatic

When were LPU CDs re-issued? With how many different case designs they've had, I doubt it'd happen without them looking significantly different

I guess I accidentally removed my explanation for having songs we already have while rewording some of the post. I'd just be nice to have some of them physically in CD quality. I still wish they would have put Not Alone and Blackbirds on some single or something as a B-side.

As for the songs that aren't theirs, we got Hunger Strike on Songs from the Underground, so while it may not happen, it's not unprecedented. Like I said, it's hypothetical so logic doesn't really need to apply. In a perfect world, we would just have most of these because of the DSP petition

I'd be open to them stepping away from demos for a bit. What if it was a compilation of interesting live performances over the years, as a dedication to Chester? My list is probably gonna suck, but other members here could probably come up with some better live performances that stick out, this is LPLive after all.

I was hoping someone could help me. I just purchased the digital membership, but I can't seem to figure out how to download the album. It says the link will be found in the Web Receipt, but I'm not seeing any links there. Also, in the web receipt, I see this, "Once you join as an LPU member with the Digital Membership, you may go to the LPU Store and get access to exclusive merchandise + music.". I tried going to the LPU store, but I only see the option to buy the CD. Help?

If the PODs tracks were all together, we'd end up with the 10 track normal we've had since LPUX, so it really does feel like they were split for the sake of filling up space since the album was being cut in half for the bi-monthly thing. I honestly felt this year had some pretty good choices aside from GRR and the PODs split up

I will agree that LPU14 was the worst of the demo focused LPU albums. I liked Mike's Breaking the Habit demo for the sake of knowing it's backstory, but on its own, it's not very good. LPU9 was for sure the best. Good mix of songs from different years, and a variety of instrumentals and songs with lyrics. Drawing is one of my favorite LPU tracks

Primo was amazing. I'd love more stuff like that. The problem with Primo in my opinion though was they released it early for everyone, making it seem like that LPU album was gonna have stuff of that quality, then it ended up being the best track on the album

I'm not disappointed in the song, I just wish it was fleshed out (which it probably was at some point.) After seeing these throwaway demos, you'd come to the conclusion that they're just running out of content that they want to hold on because they might use it in the future. On the other hand, we've heard so many things like "they had a full album before Meteora that was scrapped" and "100 demos for minutes to midnight" that were whittled down.

 

At the end of the day, I don't know what to believe, but the trend has been a little worse quality in LPU albums from year to year since 2009. I feel like releasing one long demo as 3 tracks, with two sub minute tracks is tough to swallow for those like myself who purchased the CD.

 

I don't mean to complain though, I'm still appreciative that they go out of their way to give us this music every year. The alternative is no music, and they've released more than their share over the years IMO

Like you said, they've shown in the past that they've created so much music in previous album sessions, I find it hard to believe that they've used up their interesting content. Not to mention they really haven't given us that much unreleased demo content. A majority of content we got prior to LPU9 was live music.

There's so much more that they can give us other than a less than half a minute track. Demos of completed songs, demos that we've already heard in LPTV/Making Of's/whatever else, significant live performances, more Mmm... Cookies-like stuff, remixes, hell, they could even re-release the Xero demo tape in high quality and I'd be happy.

I'm not even entirely that disappointed in the length, more so that it was already released without us knowing it two months ago already, exclusively. Why did we wait 2 months for something we already had?

I'm really pretty disappointed. I mean, it doesn't sound bad, but 28 seconds? Plus 17 seconds of it was released two months ago? Mike's discussion video was over three times as long as the track

What file format were the live show downloads released as? I found a folder of the first show I downloaded in 2008 and they're .wma, which is odd, but knowing how little I knew about computers in general back in 2008, I might have converted them

And has anything come of releasing those downloads free on LPLive now that the official site is gone? I remember mention of it at the time but haven't seen anything of it, because if those aren't the original versions of the files, I'd like to get my hands on them somehow

There wasn't one for March, it's every two months, and we got one in February. We actually will get one this month, it just won't be (most likely, at least) Wizard Song

It took about two days. I came up with the idea in January and did a big chunk then and set it aside for a bit, then finished everything else the day of. I did cut some corners, for example the social links on the bottom are just an image

Lmao this was really well-done. I was actually still questioning it right up until it didn't download the way the actual website does.

I considered making it more accurate how it downloaded, but that would involve credit card and address stuff and I didn't wanna mess with that, even if it was fake and the info didn't go anywhere

When did the band start selling digital downloads of all LPU albums and what was the first LPU album to be sold in digital format?

I can't confirm for sure, but I'm almost positive it started with LPU11, and it included all the albums (plus Songs from the Underground and A Decade Underground). I could be wrong. If I'm correct, you could consider LPUX the first because it offered A Decade Underground

Why was that even posted in this thread of all places on the forums? Also, last week someone posted on the LP forums saying they have this song, too, and described this upload, so the person who posted this today is their them, or this song is floating around elsewhere under that name, too
