I for one am kinda getting tired of defending this album. I realized that I'm gonna run into people who just plain hate the album. My gut reaction is to defend it, but sometimes your not entirely sure if its worth it. Some people are just gonna hate something to hate it. Its very difficult to weed out the people who don't like it for what I would deem as logical reasons. I'm not saying at all thats wrong for a person to just not like it, but after hearing the same thing over and over about no heavy riffs or not enough screaming, I long for a logical intelligent response as to why the album is disliked by said person. What I think really bugs me is there is no "agree to disagree" going on. I mean people that like ATS are vilified and called fanboys, and vice versa for the people who hate it (except the fanboys part obviously lol). I would love for there to be a perfect harmony where people who like HT and Meteora can enjoy those stupendous albums and be happy instead of calling those who like MTM and ATS out. I do like though that LP are pushing buttons, and no legendary band ever got to where they did by pleasing everyone.

I did one for a VH1 interview. Did you get on that one also?

They didnt actually have anything for sale so I think the DSP might just be free or we have to pay for it online instead of how we normally do at the show

plus they where partying and then running late so i can imagine all the talking and stuff to people and the possible drinking didnt help either

I had an AMAZING time and I met 2 LPLers and one I had a great conversation with. I got to hold Chesters hand which was such a mark moment (wrestling term). I havent seem them in 2 years and I think this whole time was sooooooo worth it!

I wouldnt be surprised if they played all of ATS and add a few oldies inbetween

Chester was DECENT and Mike sounded too deep. Look at it this way, it wasnt as bad as their performance of Numb on the Jimmy Kimmel show

Astat is completely right. LP like I've said before always pushed genres. This just happens to be one that isnt "conventional". Linkin Park have taken a HUGE risk with ATS. They poured their heart and soul into something that they feel is good enough to let everyone listen to. I for one support their decision to release this album, I believe it is a prime example of how Linkin Park have always separated themselves from other musicians. Linkin Park will continue to change things up, so for people that dont like it then jump off the ride, and maybe we will see ya at the next stop.

Mike really shines on this record no doubt. Chester didnt really go above and beyond this record all that much. The Messenger is great but vocally its similar to his Grey Daze vocals which where great!

I cant get the beat from When They Come For Me outta my head! Overall I really like the record but Im gonna do an in depth review for my blog. Ill post it when i finish

It is literally a journey. The interludes and intro and outros actually feel like they are carrying you to the next section of the album, its really freaky and really cool.

LP have pushed the genre label since day one. People who are hating on them now are the ones who really liked what they did 10 years ago. Keep in mind when M2M came out they lost old fans and gained new ones. They will continue to do this as they progress as musicians. There isn't a single thing you can do about it. You either like the new stuff or you stick to HT and Meteora, no one is wrong in these arguments. What is wrong is when people slander each other because they dont like the 30 second clips or vice versa. I personally am on the fence with this album but I felt the same way when I first heard M2M, and now thats my favorite album of theirs. If I may take a line from Chris Jericho...LP are the best in the world at what they do. I have faith in them and dont think they will disappoint me and even if they do oh well, I still love what they have released in the past and I've always got that.

A few hours, but it seems that history wont be repeating itself this time. Oh well we only have to wait till Friday when all American stores will be receiving their shipments of it, if not earlier of course.

This same thing happened when MTM came out. So expect the album to leak extremely shortly. To me I'm kinda torn with the sound of the clips but I dont wanna jump the gun till I hear the whole album.

Nokia is ALL general admission. There is a floor and then movie theater style sitting if youd like to sit, you dont actually have to. It is a GREAT venue, im actually going tonight to see Dir En Grey and Apocalyptica.
