  1. To all the so called "old school" and "hardcore fans" that are complainging that linkin park isn't making music that you want them to make. That's not their job. Where in their description does it say they have to make music that a certain group of fans want to hear. There job is to make music. And they should make music that they love. Not what you love. They will make music from the influences that they listen too.

Like it really makes me mad when people complain about everything. The song is rock. It is played on rock and alternative stations. Have you heard on your popular music stations....I sure haven't.

And I think its great that they debuted at #1 on the rock charts. This will give them more confidence to make the music they want to make.

    /slightly off topic rant.

  2. Blackbirds doesn't have a tag by it saying "Pre-Order Only," so it should be available with the purchase of the album on release day, if you opt to wait until then to order it. Plus, it's being billed as one of the contents for the Deluxe Ed.

But if your gonna buy the deluxe edition anyway might as well pre-order. Cause I don't trust itunes much in that aspect.

  3. From the all seeing all hearing all knowing source of the world.

Quote wikipedia "Pop music (a term that originally derives from an abbreviation of "popular") is usually understood to be commercially recorded music, often oriented towards a youth market, usually consisting of relatively short, simple love songs utilizing technological innovations to produce new variations on existing themes"

Now I don't see the catalyst ticking any of those boxes. DO YA?

the catalyst isnt pop music. when i think pop i think Michael Jackson. He was the epitome of pop.

  4. wow.....really.....

i hope many of you realize that the guys in linkin park are all in their mid 30's. so if you really expect them to make music that they made when they were TEENAGERS, you are very mistaken. They are most likely going to make music that is from the time when they were kids and teenagers. They Grew Up. I like the newer music more than the older stuff. im not gonna lie. I enjoy adult contemporary music and indie music which is the direction they seem to be taking. So if they are gonna make music to meet an older more mature audience More power too them. They deserve it. Plus they need it. Making music that is all about teenage angst is not gonna keep them a fanbase that will allow them to tour as long as say The Rolling Stones.

plus a band's job isnt to make music YOU want its to make music they want and like. so if they like this style then that will probably influence them. Music is what makes them happy so they are gonna make the music that they like not what you WANT them to like.

and on the note of bands that changed:

    sum 41

    blink-182

    simple plan

    three days grace

    Atreyu

    Bullet For my Valentine

    Bush

    Disturbed

like he said Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold

    System of Down

    just to name a few.

  5. i really hope if they play this live they have a whole rave setup, and hand out glowsticks.

Its a pretty good track. That one review was right it is really proggy at parts. It seems they have been listening to Rush and Daft Punk. lol

  6.

Whoever made that is full of fail. I'm not sure why they thought anyone would actually think that is Mike. If it was true though, I'm sure people would be pissed off at the band forever considering how things already are right now.

it sounds more like Brad doesnt it lol

  7. im pretty sure this is gonna be the iTunes LP. They usually include an interactive album, a ton of pictures, exclusive songs, full lyrics, bonus tracks, the album, and a cool visualizer. They are actually worth the money. and if its 20 bucks roughly then its gonna have a ton of stuff.

Trust me they are awesome. I have the Dave Matthews one and the Avenged Sevenfold one.

  8. Crap. I was hoping we'd get a b-side or something out of Japan.

P.S. Where did No Roads Left get its initial release? Was it on the Japanese version of Minutes to Midnight?

Nahh it was on the itunes pre-order. That's how it usually is you get a b-side. But on the subject of itunes I wonder if they will do an LP for the album like they did for avenged's and dave matthew's

  9. Love both of the pictures I hope they release them as posters....

Again mike looks like dave grohl.....next thing you know he will start chewing gum when he performs
