    STUDIO

     

    They've been playing the piano version for ages now, I think the last time the studio version was played WAS in that acoustic show actually. Correct me if I'm wrong LPlive

     

    Dont get me wrong, the piano version is beautiful, but I reckon they could pull off the studio version mavelously now.

    VERY interesting topic lol

     

    I agree with most of what you guys have listed (with a few exceptions xD)

     

    Heres my list:

     

    --- The reluctance to play non-singles, b-sides & non-album material in average setlists (with a few exceptions e.g. Reading my eyes)

    --- Reluctance in making albums longer than 30-45 mins & tracks longer than 3-4 minutes (save Reanimation, TLTGYA etc...)

    --- Phi reluctant to show his true talent on bass (c'mon phi, we know you can do much better!)

    --- Releasing live tracks as b-sides <_<

     

    So yeah, ALOT of reluctance :lol: Hopefully they'll prove me wrong on the next LP Album & LPU9! ;)

    Woah, I'm glad LPL have mentioned this.

     

    I went on LPT the other day and i was suddenly bomarded with popups & god knows what - quickly turned off my modem before anything downloaded itself.

     

    Terrible that people do this. LPT was one of my favourite LP sites. I hope they get it fixed as soon as they can.

    Mike, have you ever considered releasing instrumental or acapella album of your Linkin Park's work like Trent Reznor or Shawn Carter did? Is it Warner that won't allow a release of it? If so, why exactly? There's quite a handful of LP and FM re-mixers out there that are running out of ideas.

    Hell yeh. Killer album.

    Makes me wonder if LP could ever make another that has some much power and style like this again. I'd like to think they probably could, but whether they will is another story! :D

     

     

     

    Can't wait to see what LP and LPL have planned for HT's 10th...

    this one is my fav. IS IT POSSIBLE TO MAKE A VOTED SETLIST FOR A LIVE GIG?

     

    Yeah, I've sugested it multiple times too. But everyone seems to ignore it XD

     

     

     

    My two questions for Mike:

     

    Question 1: "would you ever consider making an LPU contest in where the fans vote/make a custom setlist and the winner gets their setlist performed live at the next LP show?"

    Question 2: "On the Hybrid Theory EP, what track are you most proud of?"

    Thought the antisipation for this one has increased tenfold. Something that would blow our minds? A Hybrid theory or Xero show are probably the only ones that could do just that lol

    Its a shame though, OOA was getting some real good reviews up to this point. but hey, its just criticts. We shouldn't get so worked up about. Chesters annoyed - i dont blame him - though I hardly think hes crying his eyes out over it XD

     

    and LP aren't selling out & doint it just for the money. With that logic, ANYONE on ANY major record label is a sellout. its a stupid definition really.

    okay this is weird. Has anybody else played their DBS CD in their computer?

     

    If you play it in Windows Media Player it reads the disc as Billy Talent III

     

    hahah, EXACTLY the same thing happened to me last week, I guess microsoft hadn't got the details for DBS that far ahead, but its released worldwide now, so I can't understand why it hasn't been updated. I'll try & re-rip it tonight & see if its updated. Otherwise I'll have to manualy rename everything! :angry:

     

     

    And I really can't be botherd to do that! lol

    Just to clarify out a mistake everyone keeps making...

     

     

    if you listen VERY carefully to the orginal 2005 acoustic live version you can hear J-K's electronic samples that actualy ended up in the studio version.

     

     

    Appart from the solo & outro both versions are alot more alike than people give credit for.

    5) Figure.09 (demo with singing in verses) <---- just because I think this one would be the most different

    6) Drawing (the orginal "Breaking the habit" demo interlude/instrumental) <--- 'cause I'll bet its so epic!

    8) Leave out All The Rest (demo with mikes orginal vocals) <--- its a single & we heard it in making of MTM

    No. I only heard the CBI, My Suffering, Fire and Inside of me! and I'm proud of that lol

    Won't listen to it on myspace. Will hear the whole album on Friday for the first time when I get my copy =)

     

    Yeah, same for me. As soon as the CD comes through my door! be it 2-5 days time!
