Jiffy Lube Live is a pretty huge venue and I imagine quite costly. With only two bands on the bill, that makes sense to me.

 

Remember that the Bristow date is not a a Civic tour date, but instead a make-up date.

Also, if we buy off of LPU, are we gonna have to pay extra services fees and that shit? Or will buying from them end up costing closer to $80 instead of $93? (not that it's a huge difference by any means, but fuck it, every dollar counts.)

I like how the trailer supposedly gives a brief hint of what the sound of the album will be like and then BID just has nothing to do with it, with the dancey beat and mike showing up just like a random rapper in a fashion similar to Usher in Rebecca Black's Friday.

 

I never like the first single off of any of LP´s albums. It´s kind of a tradition for me I guess. I´ll wait to see what the album is all about, A Thousand Suns was great and I hope this album keeps up.

I'll take it as a lead single, but yawn. I'm sure the rest of the album will be more interesting. Catchy though, got a nice rhythm to it.

I can guarantee that the album title is not "living things" BECAUSE mike tweeted it. He, like any member of linkin park, cannot confirm info until the date that wb records designate as the announcement date. Just like burn it down info, the title and release date were out but mike couldn't talk about it until the official announcement video. So here, the official announcement is Monday, therefore saying #livingthings proves that it's not the album title.

 

Just speculation, but you can ban me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, tomorrow's gonna be a big day. Better renew with the LPU to get first dibs on seats.

Videos don't just get removed if they actually have the song in them. I'm pretty sure Warner can remove videos if the video tries to pass off content as copyrighted Linkin Park music.

There are stupid and close minded people that like ATS and making facepalm-worth comments everywhere. That's not a reason to bash every single one who likes ATS though.

I never said they were more intelligent. But I did say that, in general, they are more mature and more articulate. I have not once seen an ATS fan refer to something as "gay" or "retarded." Nu-metal fans are the only people I see that are that rude to people on these forums.

they do have a point though, you cannot really argue for the artistic brilliance in Ht or meteora against ATS. For me the problem comes with the catchyness and awesomeness of the albums. HT and meteora was so catchy and lasting despite the simplistic artistic nature. And ATS and MTM to an extent was VERY forgettable even though clearly better albums musically.

I really respect the fact that you can separate personal taste from objective musical quality. That's something few people seem to be able to do.

I respect anyone's personal taste in music, you can enjoy whatever you want. But if you want to talk about artistic quality, it's not a matter of opinion.

If the interludes were not their own tracks, but tacked on to the other songs (like Empty Spaces was part of WTCFM/BITS, Fallout was part of The Catalyst, etc.), would you still feel the same way?

It's not impossible. They did What I've Done, No More Sorrow, and (I think) Bleed It Out before Minutes To Midnight came out.

Alright, so if I'm not mistaken the video for The Catalyst was filmed in June 2010. Song released in August, video soon after, album in September.

So if we use roughly the same timeline, filming is going to begin in March, so the lead single out in May, album in June? Seems like this could be it.
