  1. I'm sure they won't do that again, didn't they say they were half finished with the album already? With minutes to midnight they went and started re-recording the album completely, after writing about a hundred demos, narrowing it down to 50, and throwing away most of them. Unlike M2M, they actually have a set idea for this album and know what they are doing, they didn't during the making of M2M. Anyway, back on the current topic, all I'm hoping to see from this show is a recording and a great performance. I would love to go to Vegas, ESPECIALLY to see my favorite singer live, unfortunately I can't so a recording is the best I can hope for.

Where'd you hear about them being half done?

  2. Songs about chaz having sex = NO

Songs inspired in sex, passion & love = YES

I dont care guys, to me the music goes first, lyrics second.

He was replying to a quote of a quote where SP&IP said that love songs are lame, and Astat edited the quote to make it any sone LP made after MTM, and then the other guy thought Astat was trying to say that those songs suck too when he wasnt...clear?

Now anyway, love songs can be very heavy. Take When Girls Telephone Boys by Deftones as an example. Heavy as hell but still a love song.

  3. Coheed and Cambria rocked the house in Oklahoma City. The emo fest called, Chiodos, is what I was not happy with. Dude was having sex with himself the whole time while molesting his microphone. I hate the music. The guy on the keyboard was cool though. ;)

Coheed and Cambria sorta reminds me of Rush (minus the actual talent of Rush), so they are cool in my book.

I was there too, and I agree with the Chiodos part. They just plain sucked. Coheed and Cambria wasn't bad too me for the first part, and then when they played Welcome Home, I was pretty surprised with it. They got talent.

Btw, how come LP doesn't put up some Nu Metal bands in their tours anymore? I guess they just try to put up different genres these days.

  4. Damn, i would do this one:

    01. With You (Intro + Extended Bridge)

    02. Lying From You (2008 version)

    03. No More Sorrow (w/ Intro)

    04. Papercut (W/ Intro)

    05. By Myself (New intro)

    06. Carousel

    07. Nobody's Listening (extended outro)

    08. Easier To Run

    09. Breaking The Habit

    10. From The Inside

    11. New Divide

    12. In The End (with intro)

    13. Bleed It Out (extended outro, no drumsolo)

    14. Faint

    15. Hit The Floor

    16. High Voltage

    17. Forgotten

    18. A Place For My Head

    19. One Step Closer (intro + reanimation bridge. No outro)

    LOVE IT!

Sorry, but I kinda lold at Carousel (even though id wish they'd play it). The one's in bold are really hard to see playing especially Hit the Floor since Chester hates it.

Surprisingly though, I can actually see them playing High Voltage, just because it's really popular, and Mike has said that FM energy is "starting to come out". And as I said before, Forgotten could be played if LP was feeling extra generous, but doub it.

  5. Firstly I really doubt that the setlist will be any longer than the MTM touring cycle setlist, and will probably be shorter. Most bands I know of sorta keep a low profile during recording stuff, so they don't play really long shows or anything (that's how I see it anyway)

Songs I see will be dropped: PMA, VD, Maybe SOTD

Songs I see will be added: With You, Runaway, Figure .09, Forgotten (if the guys are feeling extra generous), maybe By Myself if Chester's voice is up to it.

Songs I think you guys are asking to much for: NRL, Hit The Floor, Easier to Run, Any new song or song before HT (besides maybe RME),

  6. Don't think that just because it's on a official looking website that it's real. Back when Seed of Chucky was coming out I created a fake tracklisting for the soundtrack and it ended up on some pretty big sites.

    Seed of Chucky...lol.

I'm not exactly sure how this song is ganna fit in the movie if it's true that the song will be in the movie. Listeneing to the songs they've played live so far, I'm not sure how the song will fit in a movie this intense.

  7. 3 reasons because i hate The Song....

    01. SUCKS

    02. SUCKS

    03. SUCKS

is not LP, is another pusy pop song, chester not scream, brad lost escence, and mike wheres the rap?, mr. hahn is not hear in this song, phoenix is very single in the bass, really LP lost escence.

    Mario.

Dude, they had to make it sound mainstream for a few reasons.

    1. The movie is VERY mainstream

    2. The song that was on the last movie (What I've done) was very mainstream

Also, Mike is working on the other songs if you havn't noticed, so he probably didn't get to work on this as much as the rest of the group. Mr. Hahn probably helped with the synths and mixing. Phoenix's bass was pretty good on this song. And Brad had to make the guitars sound similar to WID so that it'll have the same effect on this movie as WID did to the first movie.

And one more thing that I keep having to tell ppls a million times is that THIS SONG IS FOR THE MOVIE AND WILL HAVE NEXT TO NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT THE NEW ALBUM WILL SOUND LIKE UNLESS THEY DECIDE TO MAKE IT LIKE THAT.

  8. About ppl thinking this sounds like What I've Done...well I'm pretty sure that's the sound they were going for since What I've Done was the theme song for the last movie.

And I'd also like to point out that they wrote this song for the movie and will probably have nothing to do with what the new album will sound like.

  9. Only Warner has the power to terminate Linkin Park's contract.

Well LP can just release like 3 short EPs with nothing but random junk on it and be done with WB right? And when they leave, they get rights to all their songs from Xero to w/e they have now right?

  10. Their contract requires 2 or 3 more albums. I'm not sure what the number is for sure because we don't know if songs from the underground counted or not.

But can't they just terminate the contract or something? I'm positive another major label would take LP. Or can they not take the contract and w/e they release is legally WB's.

  11. I thought friends had each others back? Mike had nothing to risk at all. What is Warner going to do drop linkin park? Please.

good point. But still, Mike had already gone through hell. It's like getting beat up by someone you tried to beat up than being asked to try it again just so he could keep their back.

  12. You'd never find unreleased music on a bands myspace especially lp's.

I know that. I mean hackers will try to hack into band's secret computer stuff and try to get unreleased songs. I bet they can find a way to do that.

  13. Exactly logging into a bands myspace to send spam. Big deal. I don't think this case is like the previous one involving Chester luckily.

I'm no hacker or anything but I think they do it for a few reasons.

    1. Trade unreleased tracks they find for money.

    2. Popularity (online that is, like notority)

    3. gossip (like sexy pics or watever).

  14. Hmm if they do play these are the songs we can prob count on in the set. This is not in order. Just songs I think will be in the set.

    1. In The End (no questions bout this one)

    2. One Step Closer (I think this wud be a great opener if they use the 08 intro).

    3. What I've Done

    4. Points of Authority (it's been in the sets since day 1 so I'm pretty sure it's staying).

    5. Somewhere I Belong (I know it sucks but it's leading Meteora single, plus this is a rock festival).

    6. Faint (pretty heavy song if Chester is on his game and the extended outro is used.)

    7. Possibly some heavy new song or old song like QWERTY? (darkmaster there's no chance of RME being played here it's a heavy metal / rock festival like I said earlier.

    8. At least one or two older heavy songs brought back like By Myself or Figure.09

    9. Breaking the Habit (not sure bout this one but prob, most popular Meteora song.)

    10. Crawling

Somewhere I belong sucks? That's my favorite song from LP. :(

But anyway, I think LP will do something. I'm assuming the album is going pretty quickly if Chester said he expects it to come aroun the second half of 09. If that's so, then they'll probably do some live performances just for promotions and w/e.

  15. I say, LP releases 2 instrumental albums and the 4th album, and then they leave. WB is the most greedy label in the universe. I hope they crawl in a pit and die. I say LP join an indie record label or form the own record label OR SOMETHING!!!! Just leave WB.
