true!!! being honest, i disliked casualty during the first week that i heard it. now that it's been a bit, i really like the song a lot more - at first, i did NOT like that new kind of singing mike was doing either, but i'm super into it now. sometimes the energy of casualty just hits really well.

realized a bunch of you were ranking the albums again...i hate hate hate ranking lp albums because it's so damn hard to decide 😂 but here's my personal decision. probably going to change again in the near future. (trying not to go into detail mostly for myself, because i'll overthink my decisions again and again if i do, haha.) 1. ATS 2. FZ 3. meteora 4. LT 5. HT 6. THP 7. MTM 8. OML i'm restraining my fingers from typing more. yes, i put hybrid theory at 5. yes, i prefer LT (as a whole) over HT (i'm sorry i know that's so controversial) but it really depends on mood, you know? LT and meteora were the first albums that i truly got into/loved the entirety of. then it was ATS, obviously now it's FZ. ATS still remains my favourite. if i'm being honest, the reason i don't prefer HT over the four i put above it is probably because i don't have that authentic experience with it "all being the start of linkin park". of course i know this, but as someone who found the album twenty four years after it came out, it doesn't have that significance for me like it might for some of you 😅 i hope that makes sense. and yes, i'm not that big of a fan of MTM - i REALLY adore TLTGYA, though.

i can't watch this show without crying. i remember sitting on my bed watching the recording of the livestream at 11 pm and just sobbing, because i had never been so happy. i remember so much about that day, it's incredible, that show will always been one of their most memorable.

now that i've been listening to the album on repeat for almost a week, i figured i'd finally gather together my ranking of the album as well. first things first, fucking amazing album, i'm beyond happy with this one. while it is short (too short imo), the fact that i wouldn't skip any of the songs makes up for that. the whole album has been a constant loop in my ear this past week, and i'm not sick of it whatsoever . it does a great job at mixing around several albums, and at the same time, it has a completely new feel. it's been tricky to decide how i'd lay out my choice of the songs, and obviously overtime it may still change. i'll also be able to see them live for the first time next year, (which i'm majorly excited for) and that too could alter my decision. here's what i've chosen for right now: 0.1 good things go (my absolute favourite right off the bat) 0.2 two faced 0.3 overflow 0.4 IGYEIH (overflow and IGYEIH are very close tie to me at the moment, though) 0.5 HITC 0.6 cut the bridge 0.7 stained 0.8 TEM 0.9 OEO 0.10 casualty 0.11 from zero (intro) (obviously the intro doesn't really count) final note: honestly, HITC has more meaning to me than TEM. mainly with the release of the rest of the album, i prefer quite a few of the other tracks over it. when TEM was released, i full-on loved it, and of course i still do. however, HITC was the song that really knocked the full picture of lp being back into my brain, where i didn't have that at first with TEM. i don't know, that's just an extra bit that makes the song stick with me more. lastly, i know, i know, with casualty, i feel like people either love it a lot or don't like it much at all. that's what it's seemed to me, anyways. (please don't come for me if you're in the middle of that spectrum 😂). after i began to listen to the song more, i have liked it better, but it just isn't a song i vibe to all that much. mike's vocal style also sounds very different than it ever has in that track, which i can't decide if i love or dislike. in other words, i think i still need more time to adjust to casualty.

oh good, they finally released more merch. every apparel-related item they originally had (that i would actually purchase) for the past few months were sold out in my size
