How is it controversial? People just can't move on when the band clearly has, I'm glad they did. The new one is far superior and fits the idea they had behind the album. This new mix is massive and I'm excited what new roads the band will take, I was wondering what the 2002 would be I thought it was a acoustic or a rough idea. As for those still living in the past let them. Who cares honestly.

I retract my last statement. Apart from the completed songs, A6, easier to run and Faint are probably the only demo songs that are good, the rest will get old. I get what they meant when they said most of it was crap, and I agree, although this just shows that the diehard metal head fans are just a otp and their poppier and mellow songs like resolution and massive deserved more but they couldn't do much in that time. Ya know cus their fans are metal heads who want hybrid theory 1 2 3... What a waste these songs are awesome.

Cuidado was such a headache to listen especially with the electronic beep boop that reminds me of epileptic techno strobe music. Apart from that the album was good. But it'll be forgotten (zing) in a week or so.

Only people who truly feel like Mike at the time could've sang like him, on this song, being a natural is one thing, words that mean to you. That's the core of singing. Although the breakdown could've been better (sounds like another average nu metal solo) the bridge and the chorus, the melody of it is phenomonal. I was wondering where I could find tracks like no roads left and this is it. And easier to run, the instrumentals is mental its Sooooo fucking good. But like limp bizkit their demos are too mellow oriented and pretain to their future selves and I guess they had to dumb it down for the label or record. I'm leaning on the label.

Yeah Meteora is a meh record, somewhere I belong, Faint, breaking the habit were all solid songs, the rest is just to appease the fans and is a continuation of what they did. I'll never understand why they dropped off healing foot.

It's not about going against Mark, they have similar tastes but it all comes down to consistency and vocal talent is just another way of saying being able to let out the repressed thought and emotions, obviously it's a natural born gift but it doesn't match up to emotion. Bands like Coldplay or fallout boy Never listened to them but I see them everywhere They would appease the hardcore fans who can't move on with lpu demos but the problem now is I don't think there is 1 person in the world who could fill Chesters shoes not in the meaning of replacing him, someone they could feel unity with, lp has always been a melancholic band their demos reflect this. They will definitely start touring again. But a new vocalist? I don't think so, its just too much for him, no matter who it is. Just like Fred durst who got the group together at first they did more poppier demos later on but scrapped them just like Linkin park and he always talked about the pressure of trying something new, either breaking through the mold or failing. Failure was my biggest fear and it came to be true, but look at them now they're still making songs they wanted to do at the time they couldn't but they're still relevant and they're good One more light had okay moments, I liked mikes collab in good goodbye, heavy and of course talking to myself. But the rest felt like a drag, they should've bought in someone like travie McCoy who mixes all the genre lp likes into digestible pop songs which btw all his songs were legendary 2010s songs shadowed by his collabs with giants of the time, yeah he faded but he made killers no doubt. I don't think no one could blame them if their album flops which I highly doubt it would. No sugar coating it they have the excuse to do one more album in any style they want but I have a feeling it'll be like minutes to Midnight if they decide to do it. if you guys want someone who sounds the closest to Chester, Jeff gutt fits the bill and his tastes and compositions are phenomenal, nil difference to Linkin Park. Yeah bringing in a new singer is their best route to continuing Linkin Park but turning to songwriters would be their best bet, they already had a 6 year hiatus and we have no idea what musical style they're going towards now. And those who ask Mark to return are obviously joking, I mean I hope they are. Thing is, One more light would've been their new foundation at getting back in the mainstream, they had a lot of scrapped collabs. but I don't think the band wants that anymore. Will they have a limp bizkit moment where when wes leaves and they make a killer album which they ultimately scrap for one of the worlds worst albums, or would it be like oasis which they all matured and make their two last albums that is the pinnacle of everything they strive to achieve but has no revenue because let's be honest. If Chester was still alive people wouldn't give two shits about one more light or Linkin Park. I mean they won, they just want to continue as long as it takes and I think like the band said, doing live shows are their best choice I mean seriously they're all middle aged now. Rock scene is only big enough for 2 bands and we all know which those are, and for people who want a new singer you should know the biggest pressure and weight would be on him. I'm curious we all assumed resolution would be the piano drum track but turned out to be healing foot. I wonder what became of broken foot. Hope we get it soon,because lost was 7/10 fighting myself was your average nu metal band track but healing foot is the epitome of Linkin Park, this is the only track where I think should've definitely made it on the album

Yep! But Linkin Park doesn't roll like that. Anyway, while fighting myself was a let down Healing foot is the song we all were waiting for. It is infinitely better then what we got.

The only album they would've EVER done more then 12 songs is Minutes to Midnight which Rick and Chester did vote for it but the whole band declined. Because the album was the most massive effort by the band really, its like... Too much for a conceptual type of album and cramming it with 12 songs is just a lot of esoteric tastes despite being rock oriented, they definitely should've added the other 5 cuts and minutes to Midnight would be their best album to date.

The intro is by far the best part of the song "There's nowhere..." Lyrics are good, fits the time. But the song as a whole is underwhelming. I get why they discarded it.

Times change bo. Especially with the ghastly last album, they had a good run better then most rock bands and lp was very original and at times dark, truly the best band of the century. Rip 1997-2017
