Really cool stuff, this is my daily listening playlist outside of Spotify now. Only thing i'd change is With You, there's one performance I thought was better than Warsaw but I don't have access to my laptop to find out which one it was lol. Either way though, this is awesome. Thank you guys

Yeah Warsaw is way better. In my own personal playlist for Album 1 it contains the Warsaw version.

Thanks thats what i wanted to do anyway. Yeah it confused me even more when I've heard the band saying Seattle... Is Seattle nearby Auburn or they didnt know where they were xD serving Britney lol.

Haha yeah I think Auburn is a place near Seattle. It’s like how Mansfield in Massachusetts is near Boston kind of so the band says Boston even though it’s technically not Boston where they played. There are so many examples of this. It is super confusing at times.

I am little confused because some dates here are different for the cities over here https://mega.nz/#F!ctMUVA4B!FMCYVFx-kxA755O1uVaAUg!9w00HSpB

For example you say Auburn 07.25.07 and here its says it was Seattle, another one Greenwood Village 09.03.07 and here its says Denver. I dont know if somehow guys who have uploaded it to Mega made a mistake with names or what? If anyone could make it clear I would appreciate it. Wikipedia says uburn instead of Seattle so I really dont understand it xD

Well even though technically the band played in Auburn, the DSP listed it as Seattle, and the band says Seattle, etc. It’s like this for many places in the world. Like how LP played in Malakasa in Greece but yet they called it Athens back in 2008. Just go by the actual date and you’ll be good, don’t worry about the name.

I know that’s why I love this band so much because you can’t call their music with just one generic name. Even the band themselves said in one interview that they are not playing just one genre and in the music shop on the shelves they should not be categorised as rock or whatsoever but just linkin park lol.

@Garret yeah we are kinda off topic now but I dont find it necessarily bad since the forum is dead now so its always good to talk.

Oh I know I love discussion of any kind about the band nowadays. I was just saying so people didn’t get confused by my op.

  5. Yeah but my whole thread was about after LT. MTM and ATS aren’t heavy or nu-metal really at all, especially ATS. So I’m not one of those fans who only like HT and Meteora. I just think a lot of THP and OML was garbage but that’s my opinion. There are some good tracks on each of those albums. I just don’t think any of those albums live up to the first 5. Once again my opinion. Like I said before, I can listen to the first 5 albums without ever skipping a track because I think they’re all masterpieces. Some of THP and OML, I skip. I actually hate THP a lot more than OML. It’s by far my least favorite LP album and a lot of those fans you talk about only loving the super early days enjoyed THP.

Really the entire point of my thread was basically saying that LP was at their peak with LT and could have easily made THP or OML during the ATS sessions if they wanted to. I’m saying that ATS was their ultimate form and that they really haven’t evolved in terms of a band after ATS because ATS was literally them open to anything. You had demos for ATS that sounded like LT (hell, half of LT is ATS songs), THP (Listen to the early ATS demos from LPU14), and pop and electronic sounding songs like OML too, with the subtle guitar that’s buried in the mix like on OML and everything.

  6. Now this thread is getting good. Great points by everyone. I’d love for LP to go independent in the future. But who knows. Warner was a thorn in their side during their career at times. I still feel like LT was the last truly epic album (the stuff after it do have some good tracks though).

He constantly changes his mind and then he justifies his actions with "I have mental issues". I told him over and over again that having issues doesn't give you a free pass to act like a dick.

I've been here for over 8 years and I've never met anyone as cynical as this dude. Not gonna bother to read the whole bible here because it's pointless.

Yeahhhh I’m crazzyyyy. Got those mental issues, ya know? Thanks for not bothering to read what I wrote though. Really contributes to the thread in a big way.

hope more Grey Daze stuff surfaces in the future as well. they've got some pretty cool stuff that hasn't surfaced yet

Like what? I know there are some unreleased songs that they have played live that we never got a studio version of (Brian’s Wisdom, Forever and some others from earlier). Those would be cool, they are good songs, especially the two I mentioned by name. I think Sean said that they never recorded Forever in the studio though.

Whole show would be cool in an MTM box set someday.

They need to do it for each album. We could get a HQ show released with each that we don’t have in full.

OML: Any of the shows that they took a song from for OML Live.

THP: Could give us RAR 2014 since they used UIG from it for the FM single.

LT: Carson 2012 since they gave us 4 tracks from it for Xbox Deluxe Edition of THP.

ATS: iTunes Festival 2011 since they gave us a 6 song EP of it.

MTM: AAC 2007 like this Numb we got.

Meteora: Any show in which they used a track for a release. Personally I would love Reading 2003 since they used Crawling from it for the BTH single. But any can work. Maybe Tampa or Atlanta from PR04 would be even better since we got tracks from those on LPU4.

HT: Docklands Arena 2001? That Ozzfest show in which With You from the compilation was from? Hell, even San Diego 2002 which they took tracks from for the SIB single. Any of those would be cool.

So I've been doing some research about the Camel Cigarettes Sin City tour, and I've figured out a few things. First of all, the Albuquerque show was not the first date of the tour, it was just the first one BOW played. This was a pretty sporadic "tour" throughout the late summer/fall of 2005 that seemed to be more of a corporate sponsorship of already-booked tour dates rather than a tour that Camel booked themselves (similar to how there were additional partners at certain Projekt Revolution shows in 2007/2008). It seems that these dates weren't heavily advertised with Camel sponsorship, likely due to strict consumer laws regarding tobacco sponsorships and commercials in the United States.

Here are the dates I've managed to track down, and who played them:

9/24/05 - Sonar (Baltimore, MD) (Kings of Leon headlined, also listed as a date on KOL's Aha Shake Heartbreak tour)
9/29/05 - Trocadero Theatre (Philadelphia, PA) (The Faint headlined)
10/16/05 - BB King's Blues Club & Grill (New York City, NY) (The Faint headlined)
10/17/05 - Desert Sands Motor Hotel (Albuquerque, NM) (Not sure if BOW or Black Maria was technically the headliner here)
*10/24/05 - ? (Grand Rapids, MI) (Likely a cancelled BOW performance but the tour still played the date - see more info below)
10/26/05 - New Daisy Theater (Memphis, TN) (Spoon headlined - Lestat mentioned this date previously)
11/3/05 - Austin Music Hall (Austin, TX) (Modest Mouse headlined)
11/5/05 - The Meridian (Houston, TX) (Modest Mouse headlined)
12/4/05 - Rain in the Desert @ Palms Resort & Casino (Las Vegas, NV) (Camp Freddy headlined)

As you can see, there's no consistent headliner for these gigs, and I haven't actually been able to find any evidence that any bands played more than a couple gigs on the tour at all, as a headliner or otherwise. Also you can clearly see that this isn't routed in any logical way like you'd route a tour where you expect the same lineup to play in multiple cities (NYC to Albuquerque overnight? Uhh no).

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the Grand Rapids date was supposed to be another BOW date on this tour, meaning they didn't play it. I found this article about some of the burlesque performers who were on the tour, and it mentions that they performed "from Albuquerque and Grand Rapids to Richmond and Charlotte": https://www.riverfronttimes.com/stlouis/aerial-erotica/Content?oid=2456468 This also means the tour had dates in Richmond and Charlotte that I haven't found dates for.

Given the fact that this tour had a constantly rotating cast of headlining acts, seemed to be booked in collaboration with other bands' tours, and wasn't routed in a way that would lend itself to the same lineup playing more than a couple shows in a row (I also doubt they just managed to get bands like Spoon and Modest Mouse on short notice to cover for BOW getting kicked off the tour), I feel like BOW was only ever going to be on the tour for a week at most, and it's entirely possible that the Albuquerque and Grand Rapids shows were the only ones they were ever booked for in the first place.

Sean's whole "getting kicked off an entire tour" story was most likely just a big ol' rockstar-level exaggeration for the sake of having a cool story.

Wow. Great discovery about the tour. I think everything you said here is correct about BOW only likely being booked for like a week of the tour. They got kicked off the tour the first night that they played on the tour in NM and that was it. Grand Rapids date is also likely cancelled. And I agree about what Sean said, has to be an exaggeration.

I'm just glad i don't have to keep checking my e-mail every day lmfao. I hope they have more of their lesser known songs on it like Believe Me, She Shines, Soul Song, Holding You, etc. though. Their discography is really something to behold

Yeah, more of those types of songs would be great.

thought it was supposed to be out this fall lol. still excited though!!!

It was ''coming soon'' all throughout 2018 and then all of this year, too, which is why the project annoyed me originally, up until now. I hope they release it when they say they are. I might like it. Grey Daze was never my favorite thing but they had some good songs. I think it has the potential to be a cool release.

  13. Was it confirmed that they were working on this when Chester was alive? I was always under the impression that Chester was doing that reunion show with them in September 2017 but I didn't know they were working on a new release. I thought they wanted to do it after he passed as kind of a tribute to him, but I could be wrong, either way it doesn't really matter, I'm just curious.

Now are the guests on this album just covering the songs from Grey Daze or are they adding new stuff to the songs, kind of like guests did on Reanimation? This is an album featuring songs from both Wake Me and No Sun Today, right? Are just No Sun Today?

A Line In The Sand was a pure Linkin Park vibe.

Yup. It’s my favorite song off of the album by far. I also enjoy Powerless on LT a lot, as well as NCSM from OML.

Lyrics from THP must be the worst lyrics in LP career. Except from Rebellion, Final Masquerade and Line In The Sand.

Yeah those are probably the best songs lyrically on the album. Love the intro to ALITS actually, it sounds eerie which is cool.

I don't disagree that a cool move would be a "DSP" style release of a Mike Shinoda live Post Traumatic Tour show. That is what the LPU should have even done in between CDs in 2015 when the USA tour got canceled... I would have mixed up Orlando or Nashville and given it out for free to the LPU because the tour got canceled.

Wow yeah that would have really been great if they had done that. And that way fans who couldn’t see the tour would still be able to hear what the tour sounded like in good quality.

I’d be ok with a Post Traumatic show DSP. Probably won’t happen lol but you never know. Live stuff to me is fine to release, even LP. Live is a lot different than demos IMO. That’s why I want so much live stuff from the vaults and I don’t think the band would even be against live stuff coming out. Demos on the other hand I understand why they wouldn’t.
