How many tickets one member of LPU can usually buy during a presale? Two?

So probably no stadium for us in Italy, but a festival. On one hand the acoustics will be terrible, but the market did come to a point where a festival is more cheap and cost effective... well, a show is a show, not complaining! EDIT: Also I-days was the festival that hostes the last LP show in Italy for the OML tour (and we did get a really good pro-shot of that), it makes sense

Couple days ago I heard In The End on a major italian pop radio station for the first time since... I guess 2005? Caught me by surprise for sure.

Linkin Park is, and always was, about proposing something new about them. It was never meant to be the same. Ivo is a skilled vocalist, but he copycats Chester in a way that is only acceptable for a cover/tribute band. The whole HT band does that, they try to be LP down to outfits and gestures, the way some very dedicated fans would. That's nice, but that's also why it was never going to be Ivo: Linkin Park doesn't need to cosplay themselves, they are Linkin Park. To each their own, but saying that you prefer to listen to a cover band rather than the original project who still has four out of the six original members in, is a new level of delusion.

Since the album is quite short, people want to try to have the most amount of never-heard-before content on the day of the actual release. It all comes down on what you want your experience to be

Noah canceled the shows because his mental health was deteriorating. I don't think the solution would be to jump in a much bigger band to potentially do a bigger, harder tour

I still can't understand how you can judge something you haven't heard. I respect your opinion on the matter, but some definitions like "second-rate LP" or "just another band" are not negative, it's just that we can't know yet because nothing is out. Many bands achieved greater artistic value even after the original member who made them special to begin with left. Think how Syd Barrett greatly influenced Pink Floyd's roots, but most of their famous repertoire doesn't even include him. Some bands manage to retain what made their music work: AC/DC with Brian Johnson was as good as it was with Bon Scott. I'm not an AC/DC fan, but that's seem to be the general consensus, I think. Now I get what you're saying, every band is different, and I also don't believe that 2024 Linkin Park will be the new Pink Floyd. I'm not even saying they might be better than what came before. But I am saying that we don't know yet and that it is unfair to preemptively rule out what good might come as "second rate" just because Chester isn't there. No one doubts that his voice and talent was unique, and that the dynamics between him, Mike, and the rest of the band did shape LP's sound. That's always gonna be true. But we could be in front of something equally special, and we shouldn't deny it a chance to be as good as the past just because it's new. (I don't mean this to be an attack to your opinion, btw. Just explaining my point of view on the matter)

That's more like it. Part of me believes this was planned... but the other part does not. It's kinda weird to make this announcement less than 24h after the #EpicTrolling countdown. Maybe they thought people would take more time to figure out the 9/05 date (even though it was very easy to find) or they wanted to do a bit of damage control to the negative reactions.

The website shows the 9/05 date without directly referencing the show so I believe there's gonna be something for the larger public and then something special for the LPU members that get in (maybe a live performance of a new song?). If it's a full show I do wish they'd stream it but I find that unlikely.

My same thoughts now that I'm less mad about it. EDIT: You know what also could have made it better? A small, tiny snippet of audio during the glitch. Just some seconds. At least a little reward for that moment.

It's not a marketing disaster, because they just can't fail like Smarky stated, but it's still not good marketing.

Yeah I tried to look into the codes of botch lp.com and lpu.com but there is nothing interesting. The backgrounds on LPU are actually stock footage.

About a potential setlist, it really depends on the vocal range of the new singer I think. If there's a new project coming, I think the general vibe and mood of that project will set the tone of the tour. The OML tour had only Wastelands from THP (at least in the show I attended) and focused more on pop rock (despite still having at least five songs from HT in, because that's where most of their hits come from, but even there you had Crawling on piano and In The End with the crowd sing-along). The THP tour setlist was quite heavier.

After listening a little to Dead Sara songs... yeah, I'd be down for that. I'd be very interested to hear how her voice works with the Linkin Park songwriting style and vibes.

Fine, but you are on a forum, so you have to be open to the fact that your opinion may clashes with others', even if you feel strongly and personal about it. That's what these communities are made for, after all
