This was fun to watch. Did not expect to watch the whole thing at once, but really like this kind of loose interview.

Inside the Studio for "Overflow" [LPTV FROM ZERO: Episode 22]
JerseyShore replied to martinez's topic in Newswire
Mike has said that the music is just better when it's LP, so whatever system they have going for them right now sure as hell works for me. They've released 13 new good songs. Something we all thought had .01% of ever happening. -
That's how I feel as well. I mean in this short time of a few dozen shows they've already played what ~50? something different songs. Keep em coming.
-
Just watched some of that 2015 show and Benjamin Chandler had a nice solo on the WID extended bridge (which I miss so much btw). Have fun!!!!

unfortunately LP just has so many bangers. 27 songs is not many considering their catalog. I was a bit surprised yesterday that they didn't shake things up a bit more considering they had a couple of months and bunch of shows under their belt (I know not a lot but enough to get a sense of what works). I really thought they would lean into more FZ stuff, like Good Things Go, and similarly, more Emily-crush-it songs from the past, like From the Inside. I would be fine with Crawling in a rotation spot. I would like to see IGYEIH live during this tour for sure. But Good Things Go has to be a lock. I wish FTI was as well. Would be very happy to get My December in there a bit as well.

Inside the Studio for "Cut The Bridge" [LPTV FROM ZERO: Episode 18]
JerseyShore replied to martinez's topic in Newswire
The bridge of this song is really good and I like that they've added it to the BIO extended bridge when playing live. Overall it has grown on me and I think it would be fun to play in full live. -
Then Two Faced. Keep counting up until they hit Figure.09
-
For sure. We could either be watching Forgotten at RAR 01 on repeat or listening to brand new awesome LP songs that have only be played live like 4 times, but are down a key or a touch off the album version. Or both. I know which side I would vote for.

Half the band is new, including lead vocals and lead guitar. We are lucky to get so many 25+ song shows already and if this is what they are starting with, the shows later this year are going to be much more refined.
-
Do you think it's because she's singing those "powerful" parts too far from her mic? Or just a bad mix? Or something else?
-
Thanks for the insight. As someone who is the opposite of an audiophile and can't really tell any of these differences besides volume and some weird sounds, I'll try to focus more when I listen back. The overall volume differences have been most noticeable to a layman like me. Mike's vocals always seem the loudest. Emily's vocals vary sometimes, especially when she moves the mic away from her. Guitar volumes seem to change a lot depending on songs. I can almost never hear Mike's guitar in any of the recordings.

He's 3 feet away from the stage and the sound quality is better than some of the official live videos it feels like. And somehow he avoids a crazy loud fan right in his ear. Amazing uploads.
-
Audio quality was excellent in that first show. They absolutely nailed Lost. Looking forward to waking up and listening to QWERTY in the 2nd half of the show. Don't disappoint us LP.

I love these a capella versions just to appreciate how good Mike still sounds after all of these years. CTB barely feels acapella. It's like my brain fills in the missing parts and there is so much vocals that I barely notice.
-
Love what they did with this album. It was short, but what else can you ask for after 7 years and 2 new band members? We were lucky to get A song let alone 10 new ones. My FZ rankings so far: Good Things Go The Emptiness Machine Heavy is the Crown Two Faced IGYEIH Cut The Bridge Over Each Other Stained Overflow Casualty

Yes let us know if we can replay anywhere. Bizarre that people are confusing Mike's son's voice with Emily. He also didn't get any writing or contribution credit. That ain't right 😆
-
Thanks for the recap!

This was a really great interview where we got some great info about the comeback and the band overall. I always love when Mike talks about their lyrics being somewhat ambiguous. It's what has helped them sustain success for 25 years.

2024.11.16 - São Paulo, Brazil (Allianz Parque - Night Two)
JerseyShore replied to RogueSoul's topic in Newswire
I agree I wouldn't expect too many changes until next year. They've played what, close to 35? songs already. Next year they'll incorporate probably all FZ songs and then be able to rotate the other popular ones while leaving the hits locked in. @RogueSoul thanks for the hundredth time but these summaries are so damn good each night. Appreciate you putting so much time into them. -
LP just has a lot of hits. These shows are basically their top 25+/- ? most popular songs + TEM (and now +HITC) along with a couple of others for the hardcore fans. And they'll probably keep roughly the same amount of songs, but drop the LFY level songs so probably one of APFMH or GU, POA and replace with at least 5 new songs right away.
-
My December is almost as deep cut as it gets. Played a few times in 20+ years. LFY is what at best the 6th? biggest song off Meteora so that counts as deeper cut too. POA & APFMH are in similar spots as well. Plus they are songs that were both played live somewhat sporadically.

JerseyShore replied to RogueSoul's topic in Newswire
Just watched most of the show. What a wild crowd. Mike crushing the RME rap during BIO was amazing. Song is what 28? years old. We're definitely getting some official release of this we're back tour right? Because we are so freaking back. -

Unbelievable video by Mark. As good as anything they've ever put out. -

Good song, Chester is fantastic on it. Little disappointed it didn't make the album, but it's understandable. Not a glaring omission like some of the other B-sides we've heard (Lost, Fighting Myself, Primo, No Roads Left in particular for me).
