  1. Nothing that I could say is going to change anyone's mind on this site. It's almost futile for me to even say anything. Yes, I'm bitter that I was banned on this site and have basically been shunned from the community. However, I do understand why I was banned. I shouldn't have attacked members of this site or attacked staff in private messages, I understand that. But it's hard not to when they're basically just talking shit to you and basically confirming that I'll never be allowed to be part of this community again. Makes me wonder why they even messaged me in the first place about it, I basically think it was just to taunt me in a way. The reason that I want to be part of this community so badly is because I love this band and think this is the best community out there to talk about the band. I feel like the members of this site are very passionate about the band, like me, and this site always has the best information, etc. I have said that I don't like how this site will bash the band from time to time, but I honestly don't really care about that anymore. I understand that no one on this site enjoyed Living Things, Recharged, the stuff with Steve Aoki, Dead By Sunrise, etc., which is all stuff that I personally love, but I can understand why some people don't like it. A lot of Linkin Park fans are into rock primarily and those albums are not really rock albums. No one in my area even remotely likes Linkin Park so this is basically the only place that I can come to talk about the band with other people. It sucks not being able to do that anymore. I've been banned for quite a long time now, since April, I believe. I'm not going to apologize to everyone and try to ask for forgiveness because I know that it's futile, like I said, but if you really wanted to know how I felt Skipees, here you go.
  2. I don't see why you guys think it's too short of time for them to release a new album and tour again. LP has done the same time frame for the last 3 albums and it's working fine. The U.S. won't have had a proper tour since Carnivores two years prior by the time next year. They did have a winter tour scheduled for this year but as you know, it was canceled, so most of the dates didn't get a show, and it didn't include a ton of the U.S. market anyways, it was mostly an east coast tour.
  3. Maybe you should ban him like you did to Geki
  4. Ya'll need to watch the first 8 episodes of LPTV (the ones included on iTunes back in 2007). It showed from the LPU Tour 2003 to Projekt Revolution 2004. You will understand how epic the old tours and old albums were after watching them. Watch Frat Party At The Pankake Festival, too.
  5. 1. Papercut - The first song I ever heard from the band when I first popped Hybrid Theory in my CD player. I'll always love that intro. Plus it's a good song when played live and just a good song overall to me, it never gets old. 2. Carousel - A song that only the hardcore fans know. I think it's a great song and probably should have been on Hybrid Theory. The lyrics are dark for a typical Linkin Park song, I think it's about drugs. But it's angry and dark, and I like Mike's rapping and Chester's screams in it too. 3. Keys to the Kingdom - Probably the heaviest song by Linkin Park, I would say. Just like Papercut, I love the intro, and it never gets old for me. Chester sounds so damn awesome on this track. 4. Lying From You - I think the intro of this song really grips you and pulls you in right away. It's a cool song. I like when the band plays it live and I think it's one of the best songs from the early days. 5. Valentine's Day - I know that I'm gonna get shit for saying this because this song is on Minutes to Midnight and because it's not heavy or angry, but I really like this song. I think it's a very sad sounding song, but I like the way Chester sings on this track a lot. It feels real and genuine to me. It doesn't sound like a typical Linkin Park song but I think that's why I like it so much. I remember a lot of people said it was emo when it came out, but I think this track is something that Linkin Park can do well and should explore more. 6. A.06 - This is another song that only the hardcore fans will know, just like Carousel. It's really short but it's so damn awesome. I really wish the band made it a full song and put it on Meteora. There is no words but I really like it. 7. In My Remains - I think this is another song I will get shit for saying is my favorite but I love this song. Again, I think Chester sounds awesome on this song and I love the lyrics. It reminds me of my Dad for some weird reason and about what will remain of me once I leave this Earth as well. I know it's weird but that's how it makes me feel. 8. Qwerty - I had to put this one on the list. It's an epic song and everyone knows it, even though it wasn't on Minutes to Midnight. A very heavy song and a very pissed off song. I remember a lot of people in my family and work got pissed off at me for playing this song super loud all the time. Haha. But it's a good Hybrid Theory style sounding song and the last song the band has made before changing. 9. Faint - Just like Lying From You, I think this song just pulls you in instantly when you hear the intro. I love how they had people play the song with them at times like Of Mice & Men and The Used and other bands like that over time. It's such a good heavy song and it will get stuck in your head for days. One of my favorites over the years and still is to me. 10. Leave Out All the Rest - What can I say, I did actually like Minutes to Midnight. Again, I love the lyrics in this song. I think the band has the best lyrics on this album actually. This song makes me think about what people will think of me once I'm gone and it's emotional to me. I also like the beat a lot in this song too.
  6. I'd say for me it's gotta be Projekt Revolution 2002 because I saw them play in New York at it but I also think Projekt Revolution 2007 seemed good. Hell, all the Projekt Revolutions seemed good. I miss that tour
  7. I agree with you that LP should do another show for Hybrid Theory for the people who want to go. But it seems like the band just isn't one for anniversaries because the only time they ever really did anything anniversary wise was Download Festival in 2014 playing Hybrid Theory in full and I think they did a Hybrid Theory song in Europe one year for Hybrid Theory's anniversary too. But that's really it. But yeah they should at least remember and maybe play a small show for the old school fans Yes. The other embarrassing moment was busting the crotch out of his new pants on Ozzfest, and taping it up.
  8. I'm an old school fan of the band but I understand that they want to evolve and grow with the future. I love Hybrid Theory as much as the next guy but I also appreciate their new musical passions and interests. The stuff with Steve Aoki isn't actually that bad in my opinion. But I think the reality is that they've only really done a few songs with him, I think Mike and Steve Aoki are just good friends so they want to do stuff together like this event. I wish LP would do another Hybrid Theory show too for the people that want to go but they DID do Download in 2014 and played the album in full for its anniversary. However, they should do a small show for the hardcore fans. But also, they shouldn't listen to those kinds of fans too much because those kinds of fans hate whenever something doesn't sound like Hybrid Theory and Meteora too basically
  9. I always thought this was a very powerful song and knowing the meaning behind it makes it a lot more powerful it seems. I agree with you this would be really cool.
  10. Wow!!! Happy bday One Step Closer, feels like just yesterday I was playing the song and album back in 2000 !
  11. Today, in the LPU chat with Phoenix, he said the band is already in the studio and writing new material for the next album. He also said all band members are contributing songs and he has no idea what the album will sound like (which is obvious this early on). We know Chester was absent from some of the ATS writing period because he was doing DBS for quite a while (a lot of 2009 and 3 months or so of 2010) and he also was absent from some of the THP writing period because he was with STP for a quite a bit of 2013, etc. Chester isn't the primary writer for LP, Mike and Brad are the main writers, it's been stated. I'm sure Chester will start to come in more regularly now anyways since he is done touring with STP for the time being. He has done a quite a bit of touring with STP this year as well. But numerous news articles have come out the past month or so confirming LP is indeed in the studio. Mike even stated he feels like some of LP's best work is being written but he doesn't want to say it too soon. I am very excited for the new album. I really hope LP gives it all this album, with really powerful ballads with deep lyrics, really cool experimentation, etc. think of a mix of M2M and ATS, that's what I want, but not like LT, more mature and more experimental but with good melodies. This is a cool thread, I will try and update with news if I see it but I'm not the best at keeping up with all the news, just am more excited for this new album for some reason then other albums
  12. LP played Hybrid Theory in full for its anniversary last year... So they already did a show for it. LP is focused on a new album right now, it should be top priority.. I'm super excited
  13. Wow, I hope Chester is ok from all these injuries! Haha. Mike said recently that he feels like LP's best work could be on their hands, but he doesn't want to say that to soon. I'm really excited for the next LP album.
