  1. The thing is standing sold out super quick, it's just seating that hasn't sold and it's all the poor seats that nobody wants anyway.
  2. My thoughts keep changing.... but Heavy is my favourite and Sorry for now is the worst. 1. Heavy 2. Talking to Myself 3. One More light 4. Sharp edges 5. Battle Symphony 6. Invisible 7. Good Goodbye 8. Nobody can save me 9. Halfway right. 10. Sorry for now
  3. I don't understand people complaining/expecting/wanting more songs..... this is part of the creative and album recording process. You record a lot of stuff so you can throw a lot of it away and have the best stuff on the album. If you only recorded ten songs and all ten were on the album, likely there is a lot of sucky stuff there. The reason why the album isn't longer, doesn't have more songs, is those songs are not up to standard, they are not good enough for the album. Now you can argue about the quality of the songs that actually made it, but for whatever reason the songs that didn't haven't been deemed suitable, I would rather not have them, i'd hope they not see the light of day. I personally don't really like the LPU demo's either, they are good to listen to once or twice, like watching a making off documentary (off topic: I'd love to see a full documentary this album, to see how it all actually went down), but I don't enjoy it as music, why? Because these aren't fully finished songs, they are just half ideas, you wouldn't want a chef to half cook your food. I wish bands would do this even more, record several albums worth of ideas and songs and then throw even more away, so we have far less filler, a lot of bands out there are able to record 3/4 good songs per album and the rest is complete trash/filler, I think it would be better if they just recorded way more songs and threw way more stuff away and then we have better albums. Also in terms of LP, I wish they would get a producer back, I understand the want to self produce, but having a great producer is what keeps you in check, it's what pushes you forward, or else you are just stuck in your own little bubble without even realising, thinking you are doing something creative/great etc when you are not. I almost think this has happened somewhat on this album, Mike emailing about wanting this to be the best LP album, but they had no outside force pushing them and challenging them to do so, so what you end up with is something actually quite generic. Sure they had a lot of collaborations in on the writing, but they are more just yes men, working with the band, there was nobody pushing them from the outside creatively and I normally think this hurts most bands. Just my thoughts.... I see myself getting more and more distant from the LP community lately too, which is sad, I feel like the LP community was the best out there, at least for me, but these days I see that we are all more and more distant, opinions are more divided and crazy... perhaps that's the journey of the LP fan! This album cycle is kinda weird for me. I'm not that excited about getting OML, it's in what two weeks? I ordered the deluxe package, I'm expecting to quite like the album, but in the same way, I'm expecting that I will only listen to it for a short while, maybe a few days after release ad then mostly move onto something else. I feel like I am doing some kinda journaling exercise here, writing out my inner most thoughts relating to this album and the band right now... haha sorry!
  4. Video has been removed due to copyright claim by idiots who have no reason to really do so, what do they gain from this and how exactly is it there copyright to remove? Seems silly! However: I thought the crowd video had much better audio, the stream was terrible. watch

  6. The UK shows have been almost sold out from the moment they went on sale, in terms of standing. Only Birmingham seems not to have sold well, but both Manchester and London sold almost instantly.
  7. TeamRock were an awesome bunch of dudes, but all they cared about was rock music and providing a media outlet to the people that needed one, events, magazines, radio etc, they had terrible business sense and just wasted money and hence went bankrupt and now all there stuff is owned by future publishing who swooped in a bought there assets at a hugely reduced cost (some of which teamrock rescued from future publishing original in the first place), now they are just milking the brands.
  8. On a slightly unrelated note, that second London date seems to be getting less and less likely.
  9. This is the only LPU CD that is any good beyond a curious/novelty value of hearing random demo songs once to see the creative process. I actually found this CD yesterday while cleaning my room, It's the only LPU Cd that I own.
  10. Nah. That's not what I was saying, just saying I had no idea who they are, there are plenty of "artists" I don't know who they are and there are always those people that you discovery pretty late in there career that are actually awesome. I like your comments and analysis of the situation though... perhaps LP just wanted them on the song too much? If i was in a band and collabed with someone and they phoned in the verses, I would just cut them from the song. I like BS and Heavy, but yea, I don't see they are challenging themselves so much, but then again it's easy for us to sit on the outside and say things. Perhaps because this is so different from there usual ways of doing something, it's challenging to them, even though it's actually an easier way of doing things. I kinda wish they would do less self producing, because then you believe your own hype too much, you know, Mike talked a lot previously about how when he was in art school, his biggest take away was putting up his artwork at the end of the day and have people critique and tear that apart and thats what made you a better artist. I kinda feel without an external producer, it leaves things little more unchecked and too many "yes men" with them all believing there own hype, not noticing there weaknesses, perhaps thinking they are challenging themselves when they really are not, that's kinda why people have personal trainers for example, to make sure you are not half assing things when you think you are actually doing more.
  11. I don't see it as disrespectful at all, it's like having respect for someone like Justin Bieber in my view, respect is not given automatically, it's earned. and I have absolutely no idea who this person is, I asked my friends about it too and they have no idea either, but thats just me and those other people, I am sure for some people these are big names, just likely they are plenty people who don't even really know who LP are.
  12. The LP parts of this song are pretty great, Mikes Rapping sounds pretty cool here, different than before and I love Chesters opening and the contrast he provides in this song. But this is me being positive... because the song is horrible. Completely ruined by terrible guest spots.. (I can't even bring myself to call them artists), no idea who these two people are, but there lyrics are terrible and there delivery is awful, the final verse which I believe someone has said is the stormy guy, is just some mumbling idiot spouting complete nonsense. LP should of had the balls to say... look I know we asked you into the studio, but then we realised you actually suck, so you are not going on the track. I usually stream all my music.. but luckily I bought the give me everything package, so I can download the album onto my phone (and this will be the only album actually stored on my phone) then I can delete this song and pretend it doesn't exist, much like everyone else (and likely so!) pretends recharge doesn't exist.
  13. This was always going to be the worst song on the album. The new process seems like it's going to be the strongest album lyric wise, with the music being a little stripped back, so far Heavy and BS certainly prove this. However the verses featuring the two random people with stupid names are horrible... but not unexpected. It's a departure cause all the other songs are awesome and this song sucks.
  14. Just a note, CID entertainment who run this have terrible reviews for the events that they run... https://www.yelp.com/biz/cid-entertainment-philadelphia I also emailed them and can confirm that the premium standing ticket, is the same as the standard general admission ticket, so all you are getting is a scarf and a pin for your 149 fine british pounds. I thought Early entry was no longer a perk? We have been trying to find out in the LPU and have been told there will be more details soon, Derek emailed lorenzo I believe and was told they cant confirm or deny in regards to what will happen with it, do you have more info that we don't?
  15. Got some info about those premium standing tickets from CID entertainment... "Hello Mark, Thank you for reaching out to us. For the shows in London, Manchester and Birmingham the entire floor of the venue is going to be General Admission standing room. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with. Best, Amanda" Ouch... looks like they are just the same as standard, so all you are getting is a scarf and a pin!
  16. Got Birmingham standing general tickets. Was tempted by the premium tickets... but were double the price and not clear what you got for standing, didn't mention early entry but does mention a pit, normally isn't a pit at barclaycard arena, i guess that's early entry, but it's double the price ! Will just get there early. Hoping for second London show to be announced on Friday
  17. 10am for LPU 3pm for OML preorders.
  18. Those VIP packages are pretty hardcore / pricey http://www.cidentertainment.com/events/linkin-park-uk-tour-2017/
  19. I'm not sure they are going to use those session musicians anymore, I think they are more a two piece now.
  20. Screw you guys. p.s too soon. I am still upset that pooch deflected to Beiber!
  21. Haha, yea... they are crazy! I love how they charge a delivery fee to print your tickets at home which is the same price as to have them actually delivered. Thanks for the heads up, I am hoping for a 2nd 02 arena date, cause I can't go to the first, but birmingham is closer anyway, looks like I will spend the weekend looking up hotels/travel and costing everything!
  22. Hah, such bad timing, I have been spending so much money this week, money I had planned to put into tours etc but since they said no UK tour I was safe! My poor bank account, travel+hotels+tickets and fees get very expensive!
  23. My summer is going to be incredible! I have Download in June, I will see Sum41 for the first time who are one of the last few bands on my bucket list, plus loads of other awesome bands and fun. Guns and Roses the weekend after, I got Innercircle access, right at the front! And original line up guns n roses has been a dream for me for as long as I remember! And then I two weeks later I have Blink-182, first time seeing them with Matt and only second time ever! With one of my great friends! And then a couple of LP shows the same week! Whoa... I am hyped!
  24. OMG! I am going!!! For sure!! But.... what the hell? It's the same time as the blink tour!! I would have gone to the o2 but I already have tickets for Blink in Cardiff on that day! Hopefully they will add a second day, Birmingham is closer, but I love the o2, will likely try for a few dates, depending on ticket price.
