Joe Interview in Korea - "Maybe 2028" World Tour

Joe Hahn is on the move and has already visited LPU members at the Seoul screening of Unshatter. In addition to promotional events around the release of Unshatter, he has stopped in to MBC Radio in Seoul for an interview.

 

 

The interviewer asks when Linkin Park will be back in Seoul for a concert, where Joe says the band will make a new record first. He says it won't be too long, so "maybe 2028" for the next world tour.

 

He says, "We were approached to do a concert film by CJ. We agreed to it and we thought the best look for us would be to film our album release show in Sao Paulo. That was our biggest show up-to-date. We wanted to do the biggest thing and we knew our Brazilian fans were waiting for us, so we said, "Okay let's take a risk and book this venue and see who shows up." It sold out. As we were making this concert film, which a lot of acts just put the concert out... I was reflecting on this moment and what it took to get to this point. I just wanted to just tell a little more story and context to how we got there. What ended up being a concert film and a little bit of explanation ended up being dominated by the documentary side."

I can't wait for the official announcement of the MTM box set, or at least for some rumors to start circulating about it.
The band has every reason to release the MTM box set.

I wonder if anyone could ask them about it on social media or something like that?

They will not talk about it right now, all the hype is about Unshatter.

Maybe in january we can get some info on that.

To be honest, I think the MTM20th box set is likely already fully defined and in the final stages of content preparation.😁

I think we are in an era of overstimulation, like, even if there's no MTM20, we are getting an album in 2028 for sure, so it's like a year of wait. In the past we had almost empty years like 2015/2016 or stuff like that where almost NOTHING happened in LP world. Now we got the comeback with new lineup, an album, a world tour, the 3 FZ deluxe songs, a movie .... in 2 years

To be fair, pretty much all of that got developed and curated for maximum impact. The album, the tours, the movie - pretty much all of that was the plan once the band got back together.

I still have hope that 2027 will be the year of the MTM20 box set, with the new album coming in the second half of the year or early 2028.
