I, for example, firmly believe that the rap verses in "Figure.09" were used because Chester wasn't able to record his intended singing parts at the end of the cycle alongside SIB and FTI because he still was too sick.

I can't exactly recall all the details to this assumption from the top of my head, though. But there is a rationale behind it!

What are your little LP conspiracies. You all have them... do you?

- That they threw the entire album in the advanced stage in the trash before ATS. Heavy but more experimental than THP.

- The initial plan for the album after LT was to be even more electronic than LT, something more EDM oriented.

They had issues with Tom Morello/his label and that led to Drawbar being what it is and nothing more, because come on you have Tom Freakin Morello to jam with and all you come up with is a really good instrumental track that you could have easily  done without him.

Mine is that Already Over was released as a decoy or a fake out to prevent leaks of the LP comeback from happening.

Some people here though that Already Over hinted the end of Linkin Park, so I'm with you on this one. It worked as a decoy whether Mike likes it or not.

Totally, I mean it came out in late 2023 when LP 2.0 was already a thing and FZ was taking shape, so I am convinced AO was a way to deceive the fans attention from rumors/leaked news and stuff, like “Mike is doing his own thing now, he’s busy”

And the mere fact he was playing AO and LP songs live with other people. Weren't people saying one them was gonna be the new singer or something? If I recall right Idk lol.

original sequel to Meteora was to complete the trilogy, Hence, everything got delayed after the dispute with the label in 2005. In which, the band decided to discard to original Meteora sequel and just create from the scratch ---> MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT came to life. The band probably forgot in the long run until they dug up some of the demos for Meteora 20.

IN MY REMAINS has a biblical inspiration. The working title of the song is ONEFORTY, which came for the Book of Mark (second book of the New Testament, as IMR is the track #02 of Living Things), chapter one, versicle forty. It reads:

A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.”

Chorus of In My Remains:

Now in my remains
Are promises that never came
Set the silence free
To wash away the worst of me

I know this thread is for conspiracies but nah. Maybe originally like right after PR 04 and the Brazil show they would have started making a trilogy but by the time that they regrouped and started working in November of 2005, they wanted to change. Chester flat out said that when they first met with Rick Rubin that he told them he wasn’t interested in working with them if they wanted to make another album like the ones they had done and Chester said they then told him that they didn’t want to work with him if he wanted them to make another album like the first two so it worked out perfectly. He also said they didn’t want to make a trilogy from the beginning on the Making Of Minutes To Midnight. I also believe Mike said that the next album would probably be more similar in style to Breaking The Habit at the end of the Meteora cycle, and it was. Chester was saying stuff like ‘’I fucking hate nu-metal’’ in interviews in 2007, etc. They said if they made anything that sounded like it, they immediately discarded it. It wasn’t until Living Things that they felt comfortable making some music similar somewhat again. But really it wasn’t until From Zero. I think Chester maybe was the member most against nu-metal, that could be why.
