LPLStaff Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago It's a Linkin Park show day in Brazil, and not just any city in Brazil... the band headlines yet another massive concert in the amazing city of São Paulo! Fans may recall the From Zero album release shows in Brazil last year, with two nights in the city, but before we get there, let's recap a few iconic moments in São Paulo over time! Of course, one of the most famous shows in the Linkin Park fanbase is the insane show at Estadio de Morumbi in 2004... ironically where Linkin Park makes their long-awaited return today. This show was for the Chimera Music Festival and with over 80,000 FANS IN ATTENDANCE, this show went down in Linkin Park history! Fans to this day have requested the full show from Brazil but with no mention of it around the Meteora|20 release, it is possible the full recording of the show does not exist anymore. Here's to hoping someone at Warner, LP HQ, or MTV finds the show in their vault one day on a mislabeled tape. Linkin Park was firing on all cylinders for the last show of the Meteora World Tour in Brazil in 2004, their first-ever show in South America. Sadly, it took the band 6 full years to return to Brazil, with Minutes To Midnight not having any shows in South America. Linkin Park performed THREE tours in the U.S. and Europe, each for the album, and likely exhausted themselves doing so. Combine that with full Asia and Australia/New Zealand runs and you can see how they didn't hit the entire globe at that time. The good news, though, is that right off the bat to start the A Thousand Suns World Tour, Linkin Park headed directly to South America and headlined their first shows in Argentina and Chile along with their long-awaited return to Brazil to headline the SWU Festival. This was right when the new songs on A Thousand Suns were getting played for the first time, so fans were treated to ELEVEN songs on the album starting with Wretches & Kings in the set! Luckily, some footage of this show was aired on TV so we can see how amazing the crowd was again for the band and we also were treated to a DSP (Digital Souvenir Package) live release by the band. At this show in 2010, Linkin Park returned to closing the show with Bleed It Out again after experimenting with What I've Done closing for the first three shows of the world tour. What I've Done didn't last long as a closer and Bleed It Out returned to stay in place for a while... but Faint and One Step Closer still popped up at times! And from that moment, things became regular for Linkin Park in Brazil. After a great world tour for A Thousand Suns, LP headed right back to South America for LIVING THINGS in fall 2012. Going from 1 show in 2004 to 3 in 2010, the band then expanded to 5 shows in 2012 and coupled an Argentina performance with 4 shows in Brazil - their most to-date! The 2012 performance at Arena Anhembi is one of the best performances of the LIVING THINGS World Tour, although that world tour was so great from start-to-finish it's hard to pick the best shows. Remember Summer Sonic 2013? Australia 2013? Everything in 2012? And the list goes on and on. We are very lucky that the entire show in São Paulo in 2012 was broadcasted as it was a true highlight. What a crowd in Brazil! If it was not clear to the band before, São Paulo clearly showed that they were one of the biggest cities in the world for Linkin Park. A big shoutout to the modern From Zero era too, as it has held that spot for the band and we have seen others emerge as well - especially Germany getting even bigger than ever but also places like Mexico City! Linkin Park slowly started dialing their world touring back a bit after Minutes To Midnight, understandably, and not every continent was featured on every album tour. For example, Australia missed out on several albums in a row and unfortunately, the visit to South America for The Hunting Party was very brief as Linkin Park played two shows at Circuito Banco do Brasil in 2014 but did not make it to São Paulo. There were VERY strong rumors at the time that Brazilian promoters presented offers to the band to headline three more shows, including São Paulo, with Panic! At The Disco, but the band did not accept the offer and therefore, only two shows were performed. So, after several years, LP made it back for One More Light and played a great show at Maximus Festival in São Paulo in 2017! Brazil 2017 was really unique in the terms of the show opening as it had a very rare opener with The Catalyst, something Linkin Park has done just a few times throughout their history. Lucky fans! And that brings us to modern day with the From Zero era! With rumors of stadium shows in São Paulo circulating through the fanbase as early as April 2024, tipping fans off that a return was imminent, the band delivered and headlined two absolutely massive shows at Allianz Parque. These shows were professionally filmed and featured different setlist rotations each night, providing fans in Brazil with a rare chance to see two different shows at one venue. Linkin Park teased a theater release of the first show (or possibly a mix of both?) to come in 2025, but with just a few weeks remaining in the year, nothing has happened yet and things aren't looking too great for this show to come out... we'd love to be proven wrong! The full show was broadcasted on Multishow again for the band - maybe we should get around to watching it if a theater release isn't coming... ha! To-date, this is the last performance of quite a few of the songs in the setlist - Friendly Fire, Leave Out All The Rest, Lost In The Echo, Breaking The Habit, and My December. All of these are songs we would love to see pop up again someday but unfortunately none of them have made their way into the 2025 setlists as Linkin Park started moving to playing more and more songs on the new album. A rotation spot for a few of these would be really nice to see for 2026. That brings us to modern day, 2025, as Linkin Park is rolling through their largest South American Tour ever with 7 shows across the continent. This show comes after Curitiba, which was a massive and crazy crowd, to kick off the Brazil run, and comes as the second of three Brazilian stadium shows. Importantly as well, this is the first time that Linkin Park returns to Estádio MorumBIS, the location of their iconic 2004 show in Brazil. A homecoming in the country of sorts. So this one is going to be legendary once again judging by how great these crowds are in South America so far. Interestingly, setlist-wise, we are unsure what to expect. Linkin Park loves Brazil, and there are a lot of options of what to play in the rotation spots. Of note, the three rotation songs this year that have not made it into the South American Tour so far are Keys To The Kingdom, Let You Fade, and Unshatter. Will any of these 3 get played this tour? Or even tonight? Let's see! HAVE FUN if you are going to this one - it is a hot spot for Linkin Park on the planet and we know Brazil is going to deliver big time once again. We have had a blast watching the show streams online and we're looking forward to another one with the LP community. Enjoy and have a great show! Quote
Yucker Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Be careful there. I've heard that there is a very serious bad weather alert in the city (cuz the Brazilian F1 GP is this weekend too and they have an eye on the weather too) and don't know if this could be affect the show or the stage setup. Quote
LPLStaff Posted 13 hours ago Author Posted 13 hours ago Weather looks pretty bad this morning and then it should move out for the show. Quote
javignacio Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I was lucky to be in both Sao Paulo shows last year and it was freaking amazing, being the album release shows was a special feeling. I have no doubt tonight's gonna be even better, so good luck to everyone there. If it's Set C and they keep doing the same setlist in the south america leg, I'm betting it's the same setlist as Buenos Aires, and if it is, it's gonna be amazing Quote
Stewe Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Is there a streaming on Multi show like last year? Quote

Stewe Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Just now, Sabi said: Unfortunately, no. Too bad Anyway we've already got Buenos Aires and, fingers crossed, we'll have Mexico Quote
bloodbath Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I thought that we will see the 2024 show by the time of this concert, I think it will go to the list of unreleased live records Quote
