After having a week off, Linkin Park are back on the road again, bringing the From Zero World Tour back to their hometown of Los Angeles, California tonight, September 13, 2025 at the Intuit Dome!

Linkin Park's history in Los Angeles is immense, but perhaps their most legendary moments in the city took place just around this time last year: the big reveal of the From Zero era. After two hundred-hour countdowns that live in every Linkin Park fan's memory hauntingly, Linkin Park invited 500 fans from the LPUnderground to a warehouse on the Warner Bros. Lot in Los Angeles on September 5, 2024. Not a soul, including us behind the scenes at LPLive and Hahninator at the venue itself, knew what was coming. Before the event, we didn't know if the band was going to appear in a Q&A type format, if a video was going to be played, or if a live performance was coming. Fans entered the venue and pictures quickly emerged of a drum kit and a stage in the middle of the venue, and with millions tuned into a livestream on YouTube, the excitement built by the second. And the time for answers finally after a seven year hiatus: Linkin Park once again took the stage, with Inception Intro A blowing all our minds in classic show-opener mashup intro format, before we were all introduced to their new single, 'The Emptiness Machine.' Mike, Phoenix, and Joe took the stage with new member Colin Brittain and touring guitarist Alex Feder for the beginning of the song, before the world was introduced to the new lead singer of Linkin Park: Emily Armstrong. Walking confidently onstage through the crowd for the second verse, emotions were riding high for everyone watching. The band returned back to familiar territory with 'Somewhere I Belong,' albeit at a new key, showcasing that they were back and had to do some work reinventing the music to accommodate the new times. Ripping through further classics like 'Crawling,' 'Lying From You,' and 'The Catalyst,' Linkin Park were back and in full form once again. The emotions got to them all onstage as well, with Emily in tears during most of 'Waiting For The End' (like the rest of us). Songs like 'One Step Closer' and 'Papercut' in the set ensured that the same heaviness we were used to with Chester was still well and alive, while the live debut of 'Lost' reminded us of how much had happened in between 2017 and now. Closing the show with 'Bleed It Out' in classic "going out with a party" format, one thing was for certain: the band we all love was back and ready to rock once again.

Relive the comeback with the full From Zero livestream from September 5, 2024!

Immediately after the show came the announcement of a world tour, the new single, and new album. Truth be told - I barely watched the livestream because I was so busy updating all of the LPLive socials and Linkinpedia page! Busy times were back, and they had to continue get busy because Linkin Park's first full show back was to be held at the Kia Forum on September 11, 2024 - less than a week later! Accommodations booked, myself, Astat, Hahninator, and countless other fans flocked to Los Angeles for what was perhaps the most important concert of our lives. The excitement in the venue and even the city itself was palpable, and the excited tension remained high up until the very second the lights dimmed in the venue. With no idea what lay ahead of us, we chose our spot around the 360 stage setup and got ready to jam.

Linkin Park's first full set was nothing short of unforgettable. Opening with Inception Intro A into 'Somewhere I Belong,' the venue immediately erupted as thousands of fans sang songs we'd never thought we'd be able to at a concert again. Playing everything from the livestream and nearly doubling the songs played, the band ripped through everything a fan could ask for. Heavy songs like 'Points Of Authority' and 'Given Up' made their return, while more ballads like 'New Divide' (with the fan favorite Moscow Intro also returning) and 'Burn It Down' were also performed by Emily for the first time. A heartbreaking acoustic version of 'My December' was added to the set, being played live for the first time since 2008, right before 'Friendly Fire,' a B-side to One More Light released on the Papercuts compilation, made its live debut, to this day still being the only material from the One More Light sessions to be performed on the world tour so far. The surprises didn't stop there, with 'Keys To The Kingdom' making its live debut in the encore, 10 years after its release, with Emily even mentioning the #JusticeForTheHuntingParty campaign that followed the Papercuts release. Other tracks like 'Breaking The Habit,' 'Leave Out All The Rest,' and 'Lost In The Echo' also made appearances in the set - all of which have been dropped in 2025 in favor of new music from From Zero. The 27 song setlist was the longest show the band had ever played, clocking in at just over two hours.

This week of time will forever live in my head - I always feel the morning autumn air of September back home in New Jersey and the warm, smoky heat of Los Angeles every time I hear 'The Emptiness Machine.' Linkin Park's return came at a time that I didn't realize I needed it, inspiring me to finish my own album and work harder on my own dreams and life. And of course, things got me back in business with all of you guys on LPLive and all those reading! The last year of covering the band on tour has been nothing short of incredible, and it feels so good to be back. And we're not stopping any time soon, as we're sure the band has some surprises in store for their hometown as they make their return in 2025!

Linkin Park's first full show with Emily, Colin, and Alex at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California on September 11, 2024. I will never forget this show for as long as I live - one of the best days of my life!

Now that the band has had a week off to relax and recalibrate, we're wondering if they have any surprises up their sleeve as they enter the final stretch of the North American leg. The biggest thing spinning on the rumor mill is that in the last couple of shows before the break, they band were reportedly soundchecking and rehearsing 'Unshatter,' the only song left from the From Zero era (that's been released) that hasn't been performed live yet! Adding further fuel to the fire, for some of the clothing pop ups the band held in the city for the last few days, the password to access the Linkin Park x Phantom Label collaboration was "UNSHATTER" - so the song is definitely in the band's mind! Debuting it in Los Angeles seems like a perfect moment, and would be a really special moment for fans in Los Angeles. The band performed Set A at their last show in Phoenix, Arizona, so if they keep their set rotations going Los Angeles should be lined up for Set B. Set B has the 'Iridescent' theme, and was last performed in Kansas City, Missouri. The rotations last time were as follows: 'Crawling,' 'Up From The Bottom' (moving out of its regular position), and 'Lying From You' in Act I, 'Cut The Bridge' (assuming 'Up From The Bottom's normal position and featuring the Moscow Intro), 'Castle Of Glass,' and 'Given Up' in Act II, 'Good Things Go' in Act III, and 'Let You Fade' in Act IV. Opener Jean Dawson was guesting on 'Castle Of Glass' for the last few shows of the tour, so 'Lies Greed Misery' hasn't been seen in awhile - with Dawson's time on the From Zero World Tour over, 'Lies Greed Misery' should be back on the menu for rotations and could return in Los Angeles. We're sure the band's cooking something special up for their hometown, and we'll be bringing you the coverage for every moment!

Who's going to the show? JPEGMAFIA will be rejoining the tour after having opened a few shows on their European Leg earlier this year, and will definitely bring a great set with his indie hip-hop energy. Maybe this time we'll see him join the band onstage for a song - that's been the trend for the openers on this U.S. leg! Weatherman Rogue Soul is here to report a classic Los Angeles day, with temperatures just below 80°F and going down to 67°F at night. I was there at the Forum just a few weeks ago and was lowkey cold, so do with that as you will. But it's looking like a beautiful California day for a show, so be ready to jam! Linkin Park has a few more stops in California this week in San Jose and Sacramento before heading up the west coast to Portland, OregonVancouverBritish Columbia, and finally in Seattle, Washington. We'll have you covered on everything that goes on during this last leg in North America!

With all the recent Linkinpedia updates we've been doing as far as the show pages show, we'd like your help in expanding them further! We are looking for pictures or scans of a number of items from the band's 2025 tour, including wristbands, tickets, setlists, exclusive pop-up store content, and more. If you have anything to contribute, check out our thread on the matter and submit your pictures directly to us - if they meet the mark we will get them uploaded to the show pages and credit you (and also blur your information out where applicable)! Be sure to check out the site to see our recent changes to the show pages (including marked rotation songs, album breakdowns, and more statistics) if you haven't already, and enjoy the upgrades to our LPLive and Linkinpedia servers with faster loading times on both sites! We've also recently launched an LPLive Newsletter for those looking for more of a TL;DR version of what's going on with the tour than my pre-show posts - we'll be sending it out every couple of weeks so as to not flood your inbox, but we'll be bringing you an overview of both tour and general news updates in these, so be sure to sign up if you haven't already!

We'll have you covered on everything the band does at this show and everything they whip out for the rest of the year, so be sure to sign up on the forums and follow us on social media (Twitter/XInstagramFacebook)!
