RogueSoul Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago After a months-long rumor mill, the day has come! Linkin Park will be performing in Mumbai, India for their first show in the country ever for Lollapalooza India! In an email sent to LPUnderground members in India, the band confirmed that they will be appearing at the festival. "India has been somewhere we've wanted to play for a long time. Our fans there are incredibly passionate and we can't wait to finally bring out live show to them." ~ Mike Shinoda LPU Members who received the email have a special link that will take them to the festival's General Pre-Lineup Sale for first access in absence of an LPU Pre-sale. An exact date has not been given yet nor has the rest of the lineup dropped, but we'll bring you that info as it comes. Who's planning on going? My dad's side of the family is from Mumbai and I haven't been since I was 5 years old - this might be the thing that brings me back! Quote
Shubho-Lp Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Well I am from India and was living in Mumbai for the past 3 years till I moved to the Netherlands! Would've loved to be there but still I'd root for my friends there who are going! Super excited. A part of India's rock culture has grown up listening to LP (even some folks have started listening to English-music with LP), so it's a huge thing. I remember when I went bonkers watching a clip of Chester with some LPU fans showing interest in coming to India and it's finally coming true! Quote
Stewe Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I hope we had the OK from the band management to have a livestream. Usually Lollapalooza stream are awesome Quote

Green Day was their earlier this year, there wasn't any livestream Quote

I'm thinking about Lollapalooza in Chicago and In South America since I've so much pro shot material from it Quote

It's impressive that they sell out a whole festival just by announcing LP as headliner. 😄 Hope the Indian fans get more shows than that. They've proven that there is a lot of demand. Quote

No way are my pals missing the best debut LP show in a country. Quote
