We’re a little late to the party today, but the real fun is just about to begin! Linkin Park returns to Missouri tonight for their first time in the state in 17 years at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis!

Linkin Park last performed in the state in 2008, at Maryland Heights on Projekt Revolution 2008. Opening with ‘No More Sorrow’ featuring the Street Drum Corps, band whipped out a bunch of rare tracks from Minutes To Midnight including ‘In Pieces’ and ‘Wake 2.0,’ with Mike even whipping out the first verse of ‘Reading My Eyes’ over the extended intro of ‘Bleed It Out!’ Prior to that, the band last visited the state on Projekt Revolution 2004 at the same venue, featuring one of the most packed setlists the band has ever played, including the Hip-Hop Medley, the Blood Anger Suffering transition between ‘Figure.09’ and ‘From The Inside,’ and the band’s cover of ‘Wish’ by Nine Inch Nails.

The band last performed in St. Louis proper in 2003, earlier on the Meteora World Tour on Summer Sanitarium, opening for Metallica (the same tour as Live In Texas)! They played twice that year, also hitting the city at the very beginning of the tour on the LP Underground Tour, which saw the band trying out new songs from Meteora, including the very rare ‘Hit The Floor’ and ‘Easier To Run.’

The band hit Missouri five times on the Hybrid Theory World Tour, the last of which was in November 2001 on the Countdown To Revolution Tour in St. Charles. The band hit Maryland Heights for the first time that summer on the Ozzfest, and their first headlining show in St. Louis was on the Street Soldiers Tour earlier in the year, where ‘Crawling’ and ‘Pushing Me Away’ had just debuted. The band’s first shows in St. Louis and Missouri were in 2000, once in November opening for P.O.D. and the very first in October, opening for the Kottommouth Kings’ Ridin’ High Tour. This very first show has one of the earliest audience recordings of the band we have!

Linkin Park’s last show in Nashville was nothing short if amazing, performing Set C and even paying tribute to ‘My December’ and Chester by playing the song as the countdown song before the show began. St. louis is lined up for Set A tonight, last seen in Philadelphia last week. Rotations include ‘Lying From You’ and ‘New Divide’ in Act I, ‘Castle Of Glass’ and ‘Casualty’ in Act II, ‘Over Each Other’ in Act III, and ‘From The Inside’ in Act IV. We’ll see if anything changes up tonight now that we’re midway through the tour!

Who’s going to the show? If you can make it early, don’t miss out on opener Jean Dawson! Weatherman Rogue Soul reporting a hot evening ahead with temperatures not dropping below 70 until midnight, so be prepared for the heat and get ready to jam!

We’ll have you covered on everything that goes on at the show, so be sure to follow us on social media!

From the Inside is really a great live song.

Emily messed up the second chorus of New Divide going into the bridge and the band did not self destruct on it like they have in the past lol

Love Stained in the early spot, they should do that more and drop Crawling.

Linkin Park played in Kansas city in 2010 on the A Thousand Suns' tour...it was a great show! I was able to make that trip in and the stage for that tour was incredible!

I also made it to the ST Louis show. Two faced was one of the loudest crowd reactions. It was awesome to see the new LP crowd blend well into the OG LP crowd.

Please not Stained, it's the weakest song on From Zero and I don't like it at all. Linkin Park should finally start playing Unshatter live, that would be something.

Linkin Park did not play in Kansas City in 2010, it was on January 29, 2011.

LOL. They’ve played Stained 3 shows in a row now. But yes, please debit Unshatter. Wonder why they haven’t played it yet.

1. Band doesn't like Unshatter as a final product since it's the only real b-side from FZ (UFTB and LYF were finished after 15 nov). They only released it because it has super powerful vocals from Emily.

2. In my opinion, Unshatter is the most difficult and physically exhausting song to sing live of all From Zero.

3. It seems to me that in the fan community this is the least liked song. Some love it, but many put it at the bottom of their rankings.

Unnecessary risk to play it live. Maybe they rehearsed it and it doesn't click. I'm expecting old deepcuts more than this song.

Yeah, when you lay it out like that it makes a lot of sense.

Probably they consider it a demo? i dont know the sound quality kinda sounds inferior to the rest of the songs.

I think the "Unshattered" thing is speculation.

Mike has been quoted a few times saying they made a Deluxe because they felt the 3 songs were just as good as the rest of the album - otherwise they wouldn't have made any. But also, they felt they didn't had quite a single for it, and so, that's why UFTB got written after the album sessions. I think in one interview Mike implied they had couple of other things under the radar, but nothing that felt like "the single".

My gut feeling is that, if they felt Unshatter was less good or "demo-like", they could easily have put another song in its place. While the band certainly prefers LYF (a favorite) and UFTB (the purposeful single), I wouldn't dismiss the idea of Unshatter being played later. Or maybe it won't, but that could also simply be because they've not nailed it during rehearsals.

At the very beginning I was fascinated by this track because Em gives the coolest vocals here imo. But the song is generally incoherent. The drums sound strange. In some places like a placeholder. Even in the chorus, which in my opinion is the most polished fragment. Verses are super super weird. Using the same riff in the intro, verses and bridge is also not a very interesting. Whole thing sounds unfinished.

I think they released the song on the Deluxe Edition because it was a song that opened the eyes of the band members to Emily's potential joining the band. They emphasized this in an interview and wanted to share this story with fans by sharing this song. After all, Mike won't say in an interview that he chose a weak or unfinished song to release it on an album with only 3 new songs ;)

Emily's performance and the pivotal role of the song in the reformation of the band has to be the biggest reason why they choose to release this song in particular, I agree. Also true, Mike wouldn't say they release rubbish in a interview. But still, knowing how he and Brad are perfectionist, I have a hard time believing they would let it out on a widespread release if they truly saw it as a bad track and /or a demo. Like, a Deluxe is no LPU cd ^^'

With that said, it's still the only true B-side of this era, meaning the band didn't choose it over any of the tracks of the standard album, meaning by default it's going to be a track they favor a bit less, and a track that probably did not get the final extra touch of polish-attention to details in comparison to other songs. But, in my opinion, this doesn't infer the band would dislike it. Else, again, I don't see them releasing it on a big official release.

Which tour do you mean? The last tour of 2010 was the 2010 Australian Tour in December. The tour you were on was the 2011 North American Tour, which only started in January 2011.

Unshatter is a very good song and one of the best on From Zero (Deluxe Edition).
